Premium Member Fear, Love, and Hope During Surreal Times

To Covid 19, many still succumb.
We pray for the return of normalcy.
I’ve learned such times bring out the worst in some,
the best in others; kindness is their key.

Some words pack stronger meaning than before.
I thought I’d felt true loneliness and fear.
Then lockdowns came and those I most adore
had Covid. Till they healed, angst lingered near.

At times the solitude has been my friend
and judge. I’ve realized I’m sometimes blind
to others’ plights, to blessings without end,
to nature, and to chances to be kind.

Much As Love And Hope Defeats Blackest Blight

I shall walk from the dark into new light
Much as love and hope defeats blackest blight
So too, may faith in recovery ask
Does not the hero, in great courage bask
To stride a victor over battles fought
A winner, hero, to live again thus sought.

I shall walk from the dark into new light
To view morn again, revel in delight
So too, shall hope gift its defending shield
Much as beauty to mankind such truth yields
Knowledge within life's wandering parade
Revealing heart's dreams are too oft overplayed.

I shall walk from the dark into new light
Beg forth a basking moon, to defeat night
So too, will joy and happiness return
As wisdom teaches, life's truths we must learn
Alas! To man a great battle to win
In this earthen sea that so darkly spins.

I shall walk from the dark into new light
Much as love and hope defeats blackest blight
So too, may faith in recovery ask
Does not the hero, in great courage bask.

I shall walk from the dark into new light.
Much as love and hope defeats blackest blight.

Love and Hope

Love and hope at Christmas,
I dream of meeting my handsome prince again.

Love and hope at Christmas,
I wish he would come and visit, knock on my door and say hello.

Love and hope at Christmas,
He should come for eggnog and Christmas cookies.

Love and hope for Christmas,
I think of giving him a warm hug.

Love and hope for Christmas,
I liked sharing my art pictures with him.

Love and hope for Christmas,
I wish I could tell him that I fell in love with him the day we met.

Love and hope for Christmas,
I loved his hug and kiss when I gave him two of my art pictures.

Love and hope for Christmas,
I wish him a very Merry Christmas with his relatives and friends.

Love and hope for Christmas,
Come back soon my handsome prince and visit.

Premium Member She Is Love and Hope

It’s all just so much for me to take in,
When she feels all there is to be felt,
All of the happy, confused to the sad,
Feeling all she has ever been dealt,

Still she holds her chest high, exposing her tender,
Fragile, soft belly to all,
Proudly exposing her weakness to everyone here,
Not hiding behind a black shawl,

And her public status is love, her position is love,
Love is all people will see,
Not a job, not a race, nor a business or post,
Her only assignment is free,

To cradle the calm, embrace all the fear,
Hug all the worry and pain,
And mix it with a peaceful energy of hope,
Then sprinkle emotional rain.

Trust the Lord with all heart, He's best friend
Friend who comforts our souls always
Always broken hearts He mends
Mends so with Him can walk
Walk each day and night
Night day with song
Song of love
Love and
Hope.

Runaway Dreams of Love and Hope

My happiness has run away
My heart is so lonely today
All my dreams and hopes are gone
Now I'm in the dark and mourn
For them to come back once more
They disappeared and finally tore
Me into a million pieces
Sorrow and pain are like leaches
Attaching to me strong and tight
Every day the claw and bite
Piercing me with hurt and tears
That flow through me everywhere
My emotions are full of
Memories of care and love
I no longer can contain
I'm about to go insane
Without someone by my side
My hearts about to get fried
From the flames of turmoil
That have entered to soil
The few dreams that I had wanted
Now I am just being taunted
For the rest of my existence
Dying from lost love conditions

Love and Hope

Love and hope
-Nikhil Chandwani
In the frosty of an ancient first light
That lazily lingers on;
Love, will give you hopes

In the middle of an intense storm
That trees you tattered and worn;
Love, will give you hopes

Even while your tears fall like rain
And your sour soul screams aloud
And you believe there’s not anything missing to gain
As you walk lost in a crowd…

Love, will give you hopes.

When your heart begins to break
And you think, “No more can I take,”
Love, will give you hopes..

When need outweighs your means
And you have not anything left but dreams;
Love, will give you hopes.

Even while your tears fall like rain
And your sour soul screams aloud
And you feel there’s not anything left to gain
As you walk lost in a crowd…

Love, will give you hopes

Of Love and Hope

resonate a sound ,oh, my sweet delight
a soft resilient tune to fill this void
for roses do flourish by thy own sight
and thy songs make them birds dance overjoyed
sing not of fear but of joy and yearning
for doubts are but a mere designer's flaw
though fate may scheme our road to be turning
love has no sail but where the wild wind blows
so tell of beauty and sweet surrender
summon them kisses on thy naked skin
trace them places caressed with my fingers
relive the moments and places we've been
oh Lord, do bless them souls intertwined
if love condemned blinded, fate is no blind

Premium Member Raven's Love and Hope Kept Alive

Part II

“I walk a decrepit graveyard alone, in mists stirred by contrast winds
As a storm brews, I am grateful that I know in my heart he's alive
Skies bream with promise of torrent rain and shelter must be found
It appears; I’ve lost my shawl, and feel the cold chill even as I dream
I’m convinced it’s due to the storm; not because I walk amidst the dead
Further, I see through clammy mist a mausoleum, looms in the silence

As I near those rusty iron gates, leaves rustle loud in the silence
And I picture armed vagrants once here, perhaps chased by the winds
Now I rest assured, I am alone as I search this place of the dead
Painful moans erupt from within; my heart leaps; could it be, he's alive?
‘Who are you?’ My hear raced fiercely, convinced, this concludes my dream
Intermittent moonlight cast upon the floor, My Ross, at last is found!”

In a tomb her Ross laid in the silence; by love and hope kept alive
Calling upon soft summer winds; manifested in persistent dreams
Which resounded that among the dead, her beloved would be found

Love and Hope

Love and hope,
Those words go together.
You have hope in the one you love,
Or, you hope that the one you love loves you too.
The love that you feel in one kiss
Is more then you could ever dream.
The one you love
Has a special spark in their eyes
That keeps burning,
Never to go out.
The pain that you had in your heart,
Before you found that one,
Gone, Never to return.
Your heart beats faster when you are in love.
The feeling is overwhelming.
Sometimes you fall so hard,
You can't get back up.
But, when that happens,
You may never want to get back up.
