Fear, Love, and Hope During Surreal Times

To Covid 19, many still succumb.
We pray for the return of normalcy.
I’ve learned such times bring out the worst in some,
the best in others; kindness is their key.

Some words pack stronger meaning than before.
I thought I’d felt true loneliness and fear.
Then lockdowns came and those I most adore
had Covid. Till they healed, angst lingered near.

At times the solitude has been my friend
and judge. I’ve realized I’m sometimes blind
to others’ plights, to blessings without end,
to nature, and to chances to be kind.

fear, love, and hope

for me and mine, it had very little effect, and my opinion on it is not what most people believe, but it sure did stir up feelings for people like you, Janice. Sorry if it has hurt you. I feel for the many who lost jobs over all this crap.

Sadly, these pandemics have not fostered respect for one another, which is vital to survival of the species. Enjoyed, Janice! Aloha!
