lost soul

bewildered walking down a ghostly road
asking where I am and where’s my abode.

I don’t remember how I got here,
in my house my mind was very clear.

sitting at the table when my heart began to spin,
every one around was drinking beer and gin.

I felt like I was floating upwards to the sky,
yet here I am in this place I keep asking why?

the pregnant moon shared Its light so I could see,
that’s it Its just a silly dream I said with glee.

the dead ancient trees conveyed to me
why the night wants to set me free

a distant chilling moan coming from a hill
the smiling bright moon said be still

around me stone markers big and small
the sky grin and rain began to fall

it was a cemetery full tomb stones
a recent marker was my own

The lost soul

I never knew what to make of it -
It slid and slithered
In and out
Of my life.

Those moments
When I felt my soul connect
With another
And melt down the neglect.

Those words
That truly brought
Those smiles to my eyes
And caused my stomach knot.

Just a look
Cured the pain
And bore me down
Never ever in vain.

But why do I feel
Loss and sorrow—
More than my mind
Can ever borrow…

But why is it that
I am scared to care—
For you and for me
Not I dare…

But why do I think
Of all the wounds—
This is the one
I will ever be bound…

Why Anam Cara?
Why?

Despite all your versions,
You have always been
My curse and prison…

You did show though —
Even being a beast
Life is but a beauty!

Whispers of the Heart

It's been days since I have written anything, was busy matching the real and reel
I smile when I catch eyes on me,
hiding my pain,
separating the alphabets of day and night;
unbinding my thoughts from my poems.
"Does it matter? ; Will it matter?"
are now out of the drawer
I know nothing would change till I do myself.
No loop holes, no magic shall happen
till I push for a breakthrough
but there is a glass not half empty instead
broken into pieces invisible to all but me.
Wondering why was she sent with
groundbreaking ability to survive
Live and live but to live like death
A Lost soul with a weeping heart
and a smile plastered on,
telling a happy story in hell.
I am not writing anything these days
My fingers may bleed
but I am out of band-aids.

Lost Soul

i travel barefoot on the hot sands
of a deserted mind
a plane of shallow dunes that tower above the distance
lost in the equivocate of direction
the blaze in the sky exposing the void between my eyes
each step forward staggered and hesitant
regret scorched soles aching for direction

to the score of my soul’s pleas for supplication

i thrust my palms to the heavens begging for an audience with God

“guide me, open the door to your mercy to a weakened heart”

there is a shift in tablature
springs of honey, water and oil
emerge from the barren earth
bringing bouts of life in bounty

ranges of juniper slopes cluster the horizon
colour spreading vast beyond my step
ever sweet is the restored air

Endlessly eternal,
unquenchable thirst,
everlasting longings,
linger, insatiable moments
of musky, lotus scent,
a yearning for oblivion,
that it may all pass by.

I fly, spiralling upwards,
into dense clouds,
horizons simmer,
as I wander aimlessly
through distances of vast spaces,
billion galaxies pass by,
turning, revolving, burning.

Eyes terrified, closed.
I wonder:
would this passage ever end?
Or is this a dream?
Where does reality begin
or delusion end?

                           Half-filled
                       Seeking form
                          An echo of
                                Soul

Lost Soul

She hated herself there’s no denying that
As God’s favourite chastened child
Bearing the burden of betrayal
And a heavy heart filled with sorrow
In her sombre world
Where light doesn’t penetrate the walls
Penalized for her sins
Waiting for the gallows to pull in
And bring her dim life story to the end
A tortured soul never touched with genuine love
Appreciated or treasured
The curtains will fall
On the lie, she has been living for so long
Then may her soul rest in peace.

Daisy chains

I wish to inhabit a place where daisies flourish in golden fields, allowing me to create chains from my brown hair and roam freely amidst the delightful fragrance of summer days. I seek love from those whose support keeps me grounded, rather than experiencing the chill of isolation that weighs me down. I do not require a celestial home where the faces of departed loved ones linger. I simply desire the ability to experience genuine feelings on this Earth that are as tangible as the flowers nestled in my hair. If I am meant to run, then who is designated to pursue me? I would be at a loss to begin if I were to encounter a kindred spirit. I am in search of my rightful place. Even a dandelion can emerge through a crack to fulfill its purpose, demonstrating the beauty of a brave weed. Meanwhile, the girl with the daisy chains drifts along the breeze's path, directionless.

Just Another Lost Soul

I crave the kind of love no one delivers,
I crave the kind of love that sends down a shiver.
I hope I deserve what I seek,
I hope that it is truly meant for me.
My life is so loveless it seems,
It’s held by a string on the seams.
Slowly tearing apart,
Drifting like shells in the sea.
While those innocent eyes in the mirror,
Look at me.
They look at me and I see,
A hollow eye with no beam.
The mistakes I’ve made flash in front of me,
And a tear rolls down my cheek.
I’ve had one true love but I lost it,
He didn’t end but his love for me did.

I wander in the gloomy night,
And search for any ray of light;
But all I see is endless dark,
And all I hear is silence stark.

I do not know how long I've been
A prisoner of this dreadful scene;
I only know that I have sinned,
And that I cannot be forgiven.

I once had hopes, I once had dreams,
I once had love, I once had peace;
But then I made a fatal choice,
And lost them all with one bad deed.

I killed the one who loved me most,
And broke her heart with cruel words;
I did not heed her dying plea,
Nor did I shed a tear for her.

And then I felt a sudden pain,
A piercing stab within my chest;
I fell beside her lifeless form,
And joined her in the realm of death.

But death was not the end for me,
Nor was it a release from woe;
For I was doomed to roam the earth,
And never reach the heaven's glow.

And so I roam, and so I grieve,
And so I suffer endlessly;
I have no hope, I have no rest,
I have no chance of being blessed.

I am the lost, the damned, the cursed,
The spirit that can never soar;
I am the one who cannot die,
And yet can never live no more.

Lost Soul

I am in darkness.
I don’t know where I am.
All I see is black,
I don’t know how to get back.
I am alone,
I have no one.
I am confused,
I am scared.
“Am I dead?”
I can’t be.
I feel alive.
“Then where am I?”
I don’t know.
I am a lost soul,
and everything around me is dull.

Lost Soul

The time passes by and the grief is on increasing roll
Regretting everyday the decision I took and how I lost my soul

Breakdowns is all that left , a miserable existence , I can’t unenroll
Those good days with her , now just memories I hold

These noises of loneliness , a grief I can’t control
May be I’m dead as I feel nothing and just cold

In night there’s a calm , a darkness unfolds
My tear becomes heaven , so much emotions and unsaid words I withhold

Wish she would have stayed, with her I felt myself as whole
How can I unlove her , how I move on …With her I lost my soul …

And I, The Poor Lost Soul That She Did Gladly Save

Early dawn in the midst of a cool windswept day
I rose to see life and smile, as if her love was new
Air so very fine smells of jasmine and daisy
Beauty and fragrance flows into the bedroom
Life awakes, fantastic miracles are waiting
O' bless are those that inhale and finally see
That man and earth are divided but also as one
Kids riding bicycles wildly across the lawn
Sunny rays gleaming forth onto the patio deck
And why does sweet life and pure love seem so close
As happiness sends feelings of her sand-burnt hair
I walk to the park, her romantic touch awaits.

She that so longs for me to be her willling slave.
And I, the poor lost soul that she did gladly save.

I am a spirit with shattered wings
Heavily laden with soot and smog strings
You are white angels with snowy feathers
Peaceful and with stentorian treasures
We face the ultimate challenge as a team
akin to a snake or dove
As we were cursed, we ought to love.
