The lost soul
I never knew what to make of it -
It slid and slithered
In and out
Of my life.
Those moments
When I felt my soul connect
With another
And melt down the neglect.
Those words
That truly brought
Those smiles to my eyes
And caused my stomach knot.
Just a look
Cured the pain
And bore me down
Never ever in vain.
But why do I feel
Loss and sorrow—
More than my mind
Can ever borrow…
But why is it that
I am scared to care—
For you and for me
Not I dare…
But why do I think
Of all the wounds—
This is the one
I will ever be bound…
Why Anam Cara?
Why?
Despite all your versions,
You have always been
My curse and prison…
You did show though —
Even being a beast
Life is but a beauty!
