Echoes of Sorrow mourning the Loss of Innocence
It grieves me to witness our youth's demise,
Each day, each hour, another life unties.
Daughters, sons, announced dead, bereft,
In a world where cruelty has left.
What have we done to merit such woe,
To meet our end in a violent flow?
We've become beasts, monsters in disguise,
Lost in our deeds, devoid of wise.
Do we not possess a shred of

Eden: Scene III
Act 0, Scene –3 : Eden, Immediately before The Fall
Eve reacts to Adam’s reaction to Eve – Divine Cause and Effect.
Man, for weakness has a name, should have been left … alone.
ADAM
Tall and slender
Quiet Man
Piercing eye
Gentle hand
Need unspoken
Deep inside
Pledge unbroken
Self, denied
Asks for nothing
Wants for much
Aching for
A tender touch
Human, Nature
Soul and Strength
Emerging in a
Fateful length
Of time

Eden: Scene II
Act 0, Scene –2 : Eden, by the Water
Adam observes Eve as she emerges naked, unabashed from the water.
EVE
Her yellow hair,
Like wet corn silk,
Hung from her head as she bent to dry
The soft round curves
Of her warm, fresh skin
Aroused in him
Something
That he cursed
And craved
And did not really comprehend
Soft and bold,
Her blue eyes
Captured
His

Loss of Innocence
What should we do if we are ethically lazy?
A blind leads a blind; all are crazy.
Our hearts shrank despite our wisdom.
My soul slipped from love to schism.
Who are the enigmas in our own reflection?
A chilly heart prevents affection.
Why is it so stark as Gothic inner strife?
while a few are weird and odd in daily life.
We're

Loss of Innocence
Cruelty danced 'cross his stencilled mustache
Sparks of Evil flashed from his roving eye
A wicked Sneer curled 'round his too-thin lips
His fingers like claws bespoke a master spy
Trench-coat pulled tight 'gainst the pounding rain
Stealthy his gait down the dark narrow lane
Alas! Two bullets lodged in his fiendish heart
Real

The Loss of Innocence
As I was walking late one night along a downtown street
I came upon a sad, sad sight that led to hope’s deplete.
The painted ladies paced the night in black stiletto heels,
and searched beneath the neon light for what the dark conceals.
Along the row of sleezy bars and smoke filled cabarets
where lonely men forget their scars

Loss of Innocence
Fragrant flower, Jasmine infused,
the evening breathes comic book laughter,
colors white and green and yellow.
Our heroes, our saviors in bold of
twilight blue and mud red ocher.
Perfume fingers stretch forth on evening breeze
searching for that champion
only to find, beneath primary hues,
a miriad of diffuse pastel hides
beneath balloon exclamations,
our vain attempt to save us from ourselves.

Loss of Innocence - Flanders Fields
A duck slowly paddles across the still water,
Disturbing the reflection of brooding storm clouds
Above. The pond sits close to the top of the ridge;
Precisely round, there are no streams entering or
Leaving to explain its presence. Cold wind keens
Through the mis-shapen trees nearby; the thin sound
Is haunting, a threnody played by a distant piper.

Getting Burnt Or the Loss of Innocence
The impulsive and wandering butterfly
was tempted by the candle’s flare
that burnt her wings
when she got close
and sent her falling through the air
She laid scorched up on the floor
her fragile wings would work no more
Tears ran from her swimming eyes
because her little wings were fried.
oh demon light
that I did seek
how you deceive
the brave and

Loss of Innocence
A happy childhood
the joy of discovery
shattered on the day
she turned thirteen
when her father's
love for her changed
took on an ugly face
No longer innocent
No longer clean
The dark secret now
kept to herself
His words of love
no longer held
the ring of truth
Feelings of dread
at each day's end
Feeling anger
Feeling shame
Feeling hurt that
he no longer loved
her as a daughter

The Loss of Innocence
I remember…
Shimmering gold ribbons
Draped over the
Glassy surface of the bay of Fundy
On a black see through
Summer night
I was new to love
Shy beneath your penetrating gaze
At a loss for words
And you…
Telling me my eyes spoke volumes
And the tears that welled up in them
Against my will
Eventually falling over the edge of innocence
Into adolescence
As your

A Horrible Loss of Innocence
I wake up screaming.
He's on top of me.
I'm naked and cold...
This is agony.
We were just getting high!
It was supposed to be fun!
Now I try to fight him off,
so I can run.
His hand covers my mouth.
He's stronger than me.
Oh God, it hurts!
I can't breath and I'm scared.
He's hurting my butt,
and pulling my hair.
I bite his

Loss of Innocence
The Loss of Innocence
At a school sports day I was running 60 metres,
I wanted so very much to win, could taste blood
didn´t quite make it but got a bronze medal,
which I wore on my lapel with pride.
When I joined the merchant navy and when going ashore
I wore it too; no one else
