They love her eyes
She, too, loves them
Those sunglasses
Soft grasses
Lofting moments
High in the air
Buying time
On the windows
Large and small
On the beach
In the dancing hall
On waves
Dwarf and tall
No brawl
No gall
In sunglasses
Just alone
In a safe zone
No cellphone
No hailstones
No woes
Only shows
Glowing in the sun
Big guns and zeros
The scholar and
The vagabond
Small ponds and
Ocean
Viewing cloistered
And oystered
What a bliss
Once captured
Painful to miss
Cloud nine and
Abyss

Alas when love has birthed itself
Under the star kisses of a lofting sky
Luminous glittering streams
From the lavender moon
Swathed in orchids bloom
Billowing upon your face
In sheaves of gilded transient light
Its lemony shimmer of sweet cantaloupes
Perfumes the air around your skin
Embraced by the moment between us
As celestial heavens play its aria
Of moonstone melodies
Across the space between us
We speak with our eyes
Of the riant moon
Laced with the kingdom of stars
Aglow with the brilliance of us

So, what does Nature
and Her Winter suggest?
that death is but a sleep
before a refreshing showery
sunny new awakening
that each resting kernel of being
is a blossom again to come forth
perennials of form with lofting
scents and beguiling evolving
textures
no soil can ever fully contain
nor rising smoke of briers
be anything less than Freedom
Breaths released
seeking dawns of experience
souls en-route to still ampler bliss
having been de-shelled
freed from stifling encumbering filters
I think Winter as much the good messenger
as it is the Grim Reaper
I think Winter as much the cold and still
as it is the ceaseless heart of birthing
warmth
flakes of color never straying too far
from their green leafy patterns
we travel inherent veins sensing our
own blood pulsing there-in and out
blushing and unfolding fond ripeness
every flower brought forth
a new universe
to freshly sniff and dream
every bee and speck of pollen
an extender-finger pointing toward
an even greater God

While thunder rolls over the scene:
lightning bolts, ignite tinder trees.
Plummeting drops douse the ground fires:
but, torched by cinders, the trees' crown.
Suety smoke inks ebon clouds;
while thunder rolls over the scene.
Terrified of loud thunderstorms,
critters flee the stench of burnt wood.
Strong gusts morph into swirling winds
lofting plumes of hot embers high.
While thunder rolls over the scene,
molten lightning lights up the sky.
Dwindling fuel feeds fire's demise;
when the wind shifts upon itself.
Forest fires die out over time,
while thunder rolls over the scene.

Peering from Behind the Plume
A verbal sketch by Martin Braun
June 15, 2020
Peering from behind the plume
witnessing my brethren lofting from ethereal vapors.
Who shall share our divine song?
Not I!
Who shall sit on the right side, with you at my left?
Not I!
Look below, their gaze is transfixed on my wonderous down,
and enchanted by my song.
Holy, holy, holy I shall sing, not for God,
but for vanity that harmony my voice doth bring.
Laced with apples that you desire,
I serenade the Gospel entwine with earthly eloquence,
and lick your lobe evoking emotional undulations from head to toe.
I seduce you in God's own house, not for His glory but my own,
for it is my desire to sit up high, on the thrown.
Let the world burn, what do I care.
From the ashes, I will rise, from their dispair.
And your lives, I will surely protect,
who else will remain for my worship and pay their debt?

Lofting above the murky waters and darkness of our desperation
Guardians of clarity and protector of heart's and inner healing
Sentinel of our seas of strife to cure us with felicity and elation
Leaping from waves breaking boundaries that withhold our breathe revealing
Gifting us their secret exhalation of divine renewal and revelation
Genial healer raises us in our faith as Corona robs us, stealing our souls meaning

Nobel narcissist my helium
Lofting legends to the skies
Pacifist from formless realms
Anonymous to naked eyes
A shimmer-shift you light desire
Aglow a ball beyond my reach
The heavens breached by torrid fire
Brilliant deepest reverence teach
Component of my every being
My spirit soars to know your name
In silent fame you dominate
Source of life eternal flame

Tis' timeless this cathedral green
A constant play of exquisite transition
Lofting tribute with flawless composition
Unerring to the senses embellished serene
Above the hushed and restful peace
The thunderous water speaks aloud
And falls like torrents from Neptune's cloud
Transcending its glorified masterpiece
The rushing fierceness of cascading stream
Like the mother lion's roar of wrath
That nothing in the wake shall be spared in its path
Tumbling into the steel mouthed rock strewn ravine
Its majestic, profound, and enduring footprint
Flows past the lushness of its own genesis
A Shangri-La, a Utopia, a perfectly blended precipice
Crashing far below while vaporous breath escape in its ascent
And below in the placid quietude be still
The calming pool of water's mist imbues
The harmonious state of rainbow hues
In the midst of doves of gentle will
Ah! So soft it speaks in its gentle din
Enfolding gratitude in our hearts
To be mindfully given for peace doth impart
The beauteous wonder of nature therein

she rises and floats
in a lacy dress of white
skirted by heavens own light
soaked in morning thought
the rainfall caresses " life "
in creative fanfare time
charcoal middling clouds
singing songs, await her not
she is happy as can be
lofting in God's house
as soft as angel whispers
her voice carries me away

Grounded are the feet that be in the elemental earth
Bounded we the legs that keep the motion of walks
Rounded is the dirt beneath as the pressure begins to mound
Founded the discovery to uncover knowledgeable talks
Sculpting melding seeping
The soil underground flowing heated molten
Melting shaping morphing
Formation created solid black rock ground
Steamy is the water of the magmatic oceans deep
Risen layers pillow topped stacked slowly in the chill
Solidifying new earthen life pushed through to a crusted rebuild
Slowly in the unseen depths where land is consuming sea
Wisps of wind waves whistle with gaseous fumes
Lofting liquid red as golden orange fissures spread bloody fires
Inches measured by millimeters mold metals magical blaze
Wild widening of gaps shallowly engraved a blackened glaze
Obsidian wasteland of a treacherous expanse gathered island life
Reflective surfaces weathered time breaking down rock to sand
Erosive washing of corrosive materials gritty consumed by forces of nature
Natural is the condensing of observatory images in the fluid eyes of man

Lofting
Under a
Slopping roof
With special
Purpose.
Looking
Up towards
An upper story
Past the slope
Of the face
Of your head.
Lofting
With you
My armored hero
With whom mystic words
Are spoken.
To whom's
Tender weapon
I am open
In this atmosphere
Of wonder.
Aloft
So high
My soul's
Been driven.
Exploding
With depth
Charges
Under siege
With little
Coaxing
As mysterious as ever.
Aloft
Go
My sweet surrender.
That no incantation
Can summon.
As i watch
You stand with
Dignity and character.
Wanting you
Like no other.
There
Are places
I remember.
Lists and chats
With tales of
Angels, angst and fire.
Alternate universes
With unknown
Destructive powers.
Of all of those
I love you better.

A simple scene a nestling seeks the comfort of the night
to lay enthralled, engrossed, in memories of past days,
the nectar drawn from rivulets that run past blackened lash.
A lidded eye roves left, then right, as if it’s been betrayed
a corner tick, a slight knee twitch, odd choices now made.
The blanket once a comforter now twists so very tight.
A falling dream, a horrid scream, yet no land's in sight.
Bloodless body, writhe, heave, callout, nobody's home
your casing calls, umbilicus, umbilicus, reel me down.
A flying lift of breeze ‘neath hips, a lofting, oh so, high,
brings soul to ground with sighing sound within the dream,
entranced, aroused, the coming light, the end of night, wake.

Remembering the sky
yesterday,
the blueness in color,
warm winds bringing back
times of summers
years ago.
Clouds lofting above,
as if passing through
another time.
When I'm down,
I'd like to hitch a ride
on a cloud.
Taking me up and away,
floating above my
troubles,
putting me away from my
enemies

the bloom of death glows
crimson colorings mimic…
rise on angel wings
exhilaration’s free flow
new beginnings lofting high
brilliant dancers
tweak the nose of fickle fate…
candied lawn of morn
nonpareil the brown earth
apple crisp the skittish wind
rainbow of phoenix
rebirth the celestial…
crumbled sweetness melt heart’s fire
fear not beyond the beyond
hear Gabriel’s horn
