If I Could Have Lived My Life

If I could have lived my life

Then this life is not mine. Not mine. Then this present has gone too far
I didn’t wait this time. Never. I needed the love. But that didn’t work

Doesn’t work the love? Unacceptable, my life? Yes. This is the reality
Solitude is the price for my independent life. I am paying

One Today

A day may be yesterday,
a day may be tomorrow,
fragments of the past,
and whispers of the future.

But!

Today is not yesterday,
And today is never tomorrow.
Today is the present,
to be lived,
one breath,
One heartbeat,
one moment at a time.

There may be many yesterdays,
and tomorrows are never promised.
But for each daily journey,
you are given only,
one today.

Lived too many Lives

my body ache and feel so old
my soul torn and winter's cold
i've lived too many lives

they say, "teenage is the best years of life
but carelessness can bring you demise"
lost in the petty things of life
i lost a precious chapter of my life

they say, "care for each other, care for the poor
but care even more about

Life is when lived in memories

Nimble and agile,
Life is vim, vigour, virile, 
Prudence gone sterile.

Limp getting the knees 
Life is lived in memories— 
In rest, reveries!

The Fairytale I Lived

We begin like a fairytale,
Your hand finds mine with ease,
You speak in soft enchantments,
Like honey in the breeze.

You look at me like magic,
Like stars are in my hair,
Like I’m the wish you whispered
Into some midnight air.

Your touch is warm as sunlight,
Your voice, a velvet song,
With every word, I’m weightless—
Like I’ve known you all along.

The boy who lived in the dark

Isolation. 
He lived In a house that was never his home
He lived without a key and a place to call his own
Silence.
His mind his only friend 
Dark just like his surroundings 

His crime:
Not giving in to a system who tried to control him
Not allowing the system to indict him Of a crime he didn't commit

Those passing days we had to lived through

As we embrace the dawn of a new beginning,

the whispers were barely perceptible
there was scuffling and shuffling
were ghosts up here then?
I took a peek expecting to see people

there was a steampunk like robot facing the door
his eyes were made of hubcaps and he had coils for legs
who made this? And when? It was curious to me.
I halfway expected this robot to move.

Why I can’t recall
Can’t receive a single prompt
Letters on the wall
Could have told me what to do
If I should have done
Of if not, than I’d ask you

I have lived before the clocks were wound,
When silence spoke and stars made sound.
My hands once etched in temple stone,
The prayers of kings, yet slept alone.

I knew the scent of burning leaves,
In Vedic dawns, beneath fig trees.
I sang where Nile met desert wind,
A priest of fire, a soul thick-skinned.

There Once Lived A Woman Named Jell-O Jiggler

There once lived a woman made of Jell-O. She jiggled and wiggled 
as she walked.  Invisible to most she was as clear as a window pane.  
She often wore her heart on her sleeve and ended the day with washed
up colors, kind of like gelatin in hot water.  
You can only imagine

There Once Lived a Man

I write because I need to
It's what I have to do
Put feelings down on paper
Thoughts I have towards you
It doesn't stop the longing 
That ever present ache
But it helps to write them down because
I know my love's not fake

And if somebody reads this
They'll know there lived a man
Who loved a pretty Bluebird
Who's middle name was
