Walls
Behind the garden wall I lie
And there’s a brick wall too
Another wall includes the sky
With all the tints of blue
When comes the night, walls disappear
I see the glimpse of home
And there we are, my darling dear
Until the light of dawn
Blurs our faces, and again
The walls return, as if
They never disappeared then
When through the walls we lived.
