The lifting of the veil
a revealing of all that was concealed
some see beauty, others bewail
regardless of feelings all will yield
the separation has begun
from the goats and sheep
everyone get ready for the arrival of the Son
some will shout for joy, others will weep
a metamorphous is taking place
the Bride is making herself ready
we are about to gaze

Lifting the Hex

I bit the ampule 
hard enough to cut my tongue.
I let the splinters rake their penance
against my frenulum for months.

Still, it won't change the trajectory,
not all at once—nothing does.

Lifting My Mood

In a bit of a funk 
I sat down and thunk
Of a means to elicit a smile,
‘Til the old thinking cap 
Sent a flash that said, “Tap!”
Which I haven’t performed in a while.

So I dug out my shoes
And wood board that I use,
Found a video there on the screen,
Then I followed the steps

Lifting of The Wreck

I come here often, stop,
and from the river bank, watch
the ribs of an old wreck break through
the surface on an ebbing tide. 
After all this time it still seems
to crave for breath, to air 
its last remains. 

Whatever past it has
no longer resides in living memory
but in a paragraph inked 
in a shipping registry sunk

LIFTING PASTOR

Pastor with spiritual might
Doesn’t take God’s word light
Hardcore weights support from a gym
Wants to keep in shape
Not looking like an Ape
Preaching conditional to fulfill
Holy Spirit power at will
Spiritual Temple
That simple
Determined and encouraged
Feeding his nourishment Soul
The results being an out fold
Being the example
Standing among the congregation
God’s goodness protein
It’s all about staying lean
The good of the land

Started shielding myself a long time ago as a useful tactic to not burst and overflow 

Intentionally kept a lid on any emotion as told myself not to make a commotion   

What used to work before is now a burden so I’m ready to reveal what is behind the curtain

A banner of hope in a world so feeble,
A symbol of strength in a time of need,
A beacon of light for those who plead.

The world is dark, and the night is long,
The people are weak, and their faith is gone,
But there is a glimmer, a spark of hope,
That can help us all to cope,
