Premium Member Strangled by Progressives

We loved videogames, Paul, Sam and me
Came up with an idea, started a company
Sales were good, but success was a curse
It started when the law said we must be diverse.

So we hired Mary, Chantelle, and Helene
But social media was their preferred scene.
Mary spent work time applying lotions
Helene said she was passed over for promotions.

Helene walked away with lots of dough
We settled her lawsuit, but it was a blow
Then we had to pay the business tax
Sam gave half our staff the axe.

Then the hydro plant fell to a progressive plan.
so salmon could swim upstream without a dam.
They built lots of turbines where trees used to grow
So our servers were down when the wind wouldn't blow.

Then Paul said that marriage should be between Adam and Eve.
An online mob descended like you wouldn't believe.
I told him to grovel, but we felt the sting
So I sold our patents to a guy in Beijing.

If you wonder why you can't get a job
Or the one that you got makes you feel like a blob.
Ask the idealists who care about all except you.
They're sitting at the levers, that self-righteous crew.

Premium Member Tabby the Three Legged Girl

You must be dressed cuter than most
Tabby’s mother said, in kind of a boast
For we have to get their eyes away from your leg
Tabby knew the score, most girls have two in Winnipeg

Tabby was born with three, no one ever knew how
But her mother dressed her in fashion that was a wow
Today she had on three boots – pink, orange and yellow
She got a wink from a good-looking young fellow

She knew her mother knew what to do
She had already figured out how to order a shoe
Demanding the shoe companies sell some of them in threes
Had to serve them with a lawsuit, this was no kind of breeze

A Fly on the Wall

‘Satire is traditionally the weapon of the powerless against the powerful.’
— Molly Ivins

I helped rescue your kid, a help just owed,
As cries that pierced the air near end of road.
His bone fractured, his mouth without some teeth,
My arm was bruised, the fall with pain beneath.

You sued me, lied the fractured bones my fault,
Your wicked lawsuit rubbed my bruise with salt.
A fly on the wall, your presence depicts,
Your aim, from Facebook friends a million clicks.

Obstructions

On Sept. 16, more than 150 people attended the city council meeting the downtown closure.
Ventura is one of only a handful of cities in the state with a car-free downtown.
Some downtown property owners oppose the closure and have sued the city to stop it. The lawsuit is in appeal.
The cars aren't coming back to Main Street in downtown Ventura.

The Ventura City Council voted on Sept. 16 to keep five blocks of Main Street and one block of California Street closed to vehicles, as they have been since 2020. The vote was greeted with applause and came after two hours of public testimony in which 74 city residents and business owners spoke in favor of the closure, and only three spoke against it. More than 150 people attended the meeting, nearly all of them in support of the street closure.

No economic vote deprives liberty or law

Law is not an absence of motion nor indifference.

A minority will be forced to conform in time.

You people are not a military
The military has parameters for city and street, road
Functions that the people will not alter

Premium Member Copy and Paste

Copy and paste can be detrimental if used in the wrong place
Such as posting and plagiarizing poems from another’s space
The time and energy it may take to search for poems to steal
It is a waste of time if you’re not going to be authentic and real

It’s also a crime to take credit for stolen art, poems or any other copied matter
And only a matter of time before a lawsuit may be served from a silver platter
It must be a type of severe mental illness or some type of character flaw
To want to claim poems as yours, that are not, is against the law

It would behoove you to think before you continue to copy and paste and post
We are on to your shenanigans and the deceitful liars are despised the most
Please remove your pathetic copied and pasted posts and leave our page
Because your reputation, integrity and legal recourse may be a lot to wage

Manifesto

On May 11th, Hawaii did declare,
The pandemic's end, no longer a scare.
Federal word, the last state to know,
Preparing for changes in the vaccine flow.

Medicaid shifts, seniors in plight,
September 24th, the end in sight.
In early June, insurers did call,
Reassessing coverages, answers to stall.

July brought news, uncertain and grim,
Doctors from Honolulu, prospects dim.
August 13th, a reevaluation came,
Insurance updates, changes to name.

September 4th, last talks in the air,
Doctors and insurers, a tangled affair.
Neighbors noticed a front lanai void,
Paramedics broke in, stained glass destroyed.

September 30th, Hilo Hospital's care,
Unconscious, admitted, a fate to bear.
Rehabilitating now, seeking what's just,
Attorney in tow, a lawsuit a must.

In court, on the prosecutor's side,
Facing defenses, where Luigi will bide.
From issue to hope, a journey so grand,
Manus, Festus, Infestus – a fight at hand.

Democrats like Damocles Sword's imminent jeopardized positions of power hail her rise,
Decades of teamsters support, NO, Harris-Demos few endorsed her in the public's eyes,
Democrats today are like the Dixiecrats of Dewey's days are playing old-school, sex-race cards,
Repubs set in their ways, and Demos are bendable like what's his face got her on second base, charades.
He needed to win, expendable, same cards played, sex-(win over for the women voters) it is a given for the race.
D for Demos who are Distancing from Drunkards--her hidden card takes centerstage--loses face.
First line expounded of my original Pie-in-the-sky, and
the rest was a shot in the dark, played with dance cards.

*She can seek help if she don't slur her words on camera that she is,
being tailed., f0x learned from Di' lawsuit--pass the buck.

Repubs are no angels in this with Trumy-Dumpy on a ticket and not a wall, the third possible gallops in time with withdrawals TBA.

Miracle Man

Seems anything decent someone finds fault,
too many things are now said to be divisive.
A lawsuit comes next, then it comes to a halt,
the supreme court has the vote that’s decisive.

Today, The Nativity Scene is the gripe receiver,
it only took one claiming a violated right.
Complaint brought to light by a non believer,
now this person’s lawyered up, ready to fight.

To avoid a lawsuit,
town Nativity scene in play,
Is now the three wise men
plus Santa and sleigh.

(tongue-in-cheek humor)

I understand there is a lawsuit, doc # 666, Neptune vs. Jersey. Apparently, windmills being put in the ocean off the Jersey coast was all done without consultation and approval by the Sea Council – who clam (ocean slang for claim) guardians of the sea coast, Loan Sharks, were paid by politicians to keep usually open mouths shut, and therefore the project went forward without public digest (a form of shoreline debate). Salacia, Poseidon, Neptune, and other overlords have their fins in a tizzy, equally upset about gender changing surgery being suggested to school fish pupils by gender fluid teachers also causing quite an uproar within the shallows and depths – stay tuned to the Splashy, your Prime Time Ocean News Network. This is written tongue-in-cheek, and any resemblance to real people or places is accidental and unintended. No truth in any of this to my knowledge.

Premium Member Things I Despise

Arrogance fostered by entitlement
Bigotry in all its forms
Conceit beyond all reasonable norms
Demanding attitude of deferment.
Entitlement, did I mention this?
Forgetting an appointment, indeed
Goofing off on an hourly-wage job
Hearing a disapproving sarcastic hiss.
Intelligence wasted in a trivial pursuit
Junk mail! Junk mail! Junk mail!
Keeping a secret to thwart the police,
Lying to cover up a just lawsuit.
Making fun of another’s creed
Not owning up to a nasty deed.
Openly betraying a friend’s confidence
Pretending coming to another’s defense.
Quitting, leaving a job undone,
Relishing when someone is hurting,
Speaking a lie when you know the truth
Taking what isn’t yours, it’s stealing
Undermining another’s position,
Violating an avowed code of ethics
Withholding some valuable information.
X-rays indicating I have the disease
Young puppies all covered with fleas,
Zealots … spare me, O God, please!

Premium Member He Is a Mean Hyena

He is a mean hyena the child said in horror.
His daddy and mommy thought he was joking.
Not realizing there had been a lawsuit.
Mama Hyena had enrolled her son in the human school.

Don’t call him that! His parents protested. It is not nice.
But he is a hyena! The child reiterated, right, but not believed.
They met the hyena themselves that afternoon in the park.
And promptly apologized to their son.

Premium Member A Win Win For the Applicant

Thirty hours early for her interview.
Impressive or ludicrous?
She ordered everything on the menu.
Wanted to taste each dish before accepting position.
Is she the new chef? I inquired.
No, a potential hostess.
I stared at the woman.
She looked more like a bouncer.
Will she fit into the skimpy kitty cat uniform? I asked.
And if she does not, will there be a discrimination lawsuit?
We were consternated, confused, worried, concerned.
She are her feast daintily, holding her pinkies up.
Confident that in some way or another it was a win-win for her.
Not her first rodeo apparently.

In the Air

Trump let one rip at his rally
(You know Jan's keeping the tally)
On November third
No more whirlybird
Prison is right down his alley*

*Despite Barrett, Trump's
Justice Department have failed to
block E. Jean Caroll's lawsuit
against the POTUS for raping her
in a department store dressing room!
