Avery

We sat through sixth-grade classes, we sat at lunch side by side, Laughing through the hallways, taking life in stride. Then came the quiet day you had to say goodbye, And years went rushing past as time was flying by.
Now high school's finally here, the halls are huge and new, And nothing feels as bright as being back with you. Two freshmen starting over, right where we left off, With every inside joke and every shared-in laugh.
You’ve always been the sweetest, a anchor in the storm, And now a brand-new chapter is starting to take form. With a baby on the way, a little light to guide, I know you'll be amazing with that sweet heart inside.
Just yesterday you handed me a gift I’ll keep in mind, My very first real phone, the best I’d ever find. It’s got a couple scuffs, a little beaten and worn, But to me it is a treasure from the day that it was born.
I’ve never had one of my own to text or scroll or call, And having it from you makes it the greatest thing of all. Through every shift and change, no matter where we roam, Having a friend like Avery always feels like coming home.

Premium Member " Self-Worth"

Self-Worth- Mythic

My Self-worth is not defined
By my monotony

Nor by the bright elation that
Rises in me.

My emotions shift like
Passing Storms-

But my worth is older than
Weather.

My Self-worth is not defined
By anyone's opinions.

People speak from their own
Shadows,

Their own fractured mirrors
None of them rewrite me.

My Self-worth is not bent by
Perception,

Nor altered by misunderstanding.

It stands like an ancient pillar,
Carved from memory.

My Self-worth is mine-
Innate, steady,
Unshaken by Darkness or
Light.

My Self-worth remains.

Simpering silly psycho Sally
Sashayed sassily down Seattle alley
Slimy slithering slugs scurried past
Silly Sally scanned scuttling insect sass

Premium Member Hillbilly Charlotte

Hillbilly Charlotte was a woman mean
Dressed like the homeless, was never clean
Smelled worse than a shaggy smelly skunk
Pungent as ground beef left in a trunk

Move over Charlotte, get out of the way
You’re not going to ruin my day-to-day
I refuse to stand downhill to you
You smell like a puppy’s worst doodoo

Hillbilly Charlotte clean up your act
Shampoo your hair and try to stay on track
Wash your body with something smelly sweet
For the neighborhood this would be a treat

Move up Charlotte, do the right thing
Make yourself lovely, give us a zing
Do your best, impress us all now
Be a role model, become a wow

Hillbilly Charlotte clean up your act
Shampoo your hair and try to stay on track
Wash your body with something smelly sweet
For the neighborhood this would be a treat

Charlotte, if you do the right thing
You will make us happy, from peon to king
Maybe even make a new friend or two
Just do what people are meant to do

Hillbilly Charlotte clean up your act
Shampoo your hair and try to stay on track
Wash your body with something smelly sweet
For the neighborhood this would be a treat

Roses from Demons

Roses from demons,
bloom in the night,
beautiful petals,
hiding a bite.

They smell like heaven,
but grow from the grave,
promising love
to those they enslave.

I held one softly,
then watched myself bleed.
Some roses are gifts
some grow from greed.

Premium Member cha cha with brown rat tail maggot

The brown rat tail maggot has a lovely wiggle
He is silent, not even a teeny tiny giggle
Smaller than a matchbox, or bee oh my oh me
From stagnant water drainpipe one crawls to me

We do the cha cha, this rat tail maggot and I
He gets into trash, next to stale blueberry pie
I send him to the landfill on Old Pike Road
He’ll get to devour decayed mold, ala mode

Premium Member meeting a squamate

The giant gray marine squamate, the mosasaur
Called lizard of the Meuse River, forevermore
Some think you are extinct, but I know differently
I met you Wednesday in the Magellan Sea

Premium Member Ruth the Soothsayer

Giant’s wife was angry Ruth
Thinks she is a super sleuth
Manners are usually uncouth
Some say she comes from Duluth

Ruth has a magic wisdom tooth
And the gift of a saysooth
When she speaks, it is the truth
Uh-oh, she’s sitting in the adjoining booth

Dancing Dreamers Dang Range Thing Winging I.T.

It is a teamwork type of thing-
Ringing the bell so well
The next mashup of a maxed out bashing of an over flowing cup of mountain water upstream-
Kings the next castling on the other side of the ring
Ding-ding
Back for more “bling, bling!”
Onion rings on the side, pretty please!
Watch how my truck sings as it revs up after a mental rental goes caching ching
Just saying...
Lying, laying, slaying & spraying-
Weighed in like Jayda- WILL SMITH I "lit" my cig-
was fuzzy wuzzy big?
Failed Trigonometry
Sold Origami
My salami
Is like " Salam Aleiki"
Hate me please
It could be a breeze
I am NOT on my knees
Please
Jeez!
Go TX!

Please watch me sleep

Please watch me sleep,
Don't remind me of my bruises and how long they'll stay.
Take the portion of my blood,
just allow me visit and enjoy this world of peace.

I promise I'm yours,
to whip and scare.
Spare me this moment,
please watch me sleep.

We'll wrestle.
We'll sing dark songs and I'll pay no heed to consequences.
Try to remind me next time,
please watch me sleep.
