song of our soul spurs heart that love may soar
so shifting into staid silence tranquil
at our blissful core where God keeps no score
we dissolve in the void our egoic will
that divine grace may love and light instil
being our prayerful invocation
drawing in thus God’s cosmic vibration

Win gold
be bold
Long run
such fun
High jump
speed bump
Grand prize
all eyes
Close race
in chase
Drab match
I catch
Ground stroke
no joke
Tiebreak
heartache
Foot fault
must halt
Forehand
so grand
Deuce court
report
Drop shot
on spot
Backspin
just in
Closed stance
advance
First serve
hold nerve
All out
no doubt
Arm ball
your call
Back foot
well put
Feet sore
crowd roar
Pit stop
right flop
Air jacks
not lax
Catch fence
immense
Choose cone
in zone
Downforce
of course
Dry line
sounds fine
Black dot
so what
Box-kick
smart flick
Breakdown
don’t frown
Eight-man
staunch fan
Fend-off
not half
Fly half
big laugh
Five-eight
high rate
Foul play
no way
Free kick
quite slick
Full-back
don’t slack
Knock-on
now gone
Loose head
instead
Pop pass
first class
Red card
off guard
Set piece
they tease
Shoeing
booing
Touch judge
won’t budge
Midcourt
retort
High clear
hear hear
Backstroke
awoke
Duck-Dill
instil
Frontcrawl
your call
Grab start
look smart
Pull Buoy

Swim Down
don’t clown

Heart quiescent, our presence still,
voids within, with divine grace fill,
doing nothing, save receiving,
we behold how love is weaving
light strobes in heart, God does instil

"Heavy hearts like heavy clouds in the sky, are best relieved by the letting of a little water"
- Christopher Morley
When reality stings
and life sorrow brings,
When dreams dissipate
under the hand of fate,
When hopes are dashed
in a seismic world smashed,
Ineffable woes
lash in heavy dose,
Tearful soul cries out,
"In silence I shout",
Promises are broken,
harsh words spoken,
Grieving heart longs for calm,
"Please spread some balm",
Why does life deceive?
Is there no reprieve?
Feelings and heartaches,
troubled eye dam breaks,
Disappointments kill,
love does not fulfil,
When tears stain my pen,
where do I go then?
To the Lord, I cry,
He dries my sad eye,
He tells me, "Be still",
New hope does instil,
His promises are true,
He will see me through,
In His Word, I rest,
Peace reigns, I am blessed.

O teacher, noble and kind,
You're more than a model, you're a guide.
You're not just a teacher of facts,
But one who nurtures, as life's tracks.
Though you teach them all the truth,
It's life's lesson, that you uncouth.
With kindness and love, you instil,
The wisdom of life, to fulfil.
You treat them not as mere students,
But as children, your love is dense.
You don't begrudge their future sight,
But hope they rise, to great heights.
You're a teacher true, of noble mind,
Who knows that your reward is kind.

The day begins with the usual drill.
Plans in readiness, we will fulfil.
Crouch under your desk and stay quite still,
Keep your eyes down, use your skill.
Don’t look up, this I must instil.
Try to be as quiet, not a sound if you will.
We practice this drill not to give you a chill,
It’s so important to do this safety grill.
If a shooter comes in, we know to do nil
We learn this so that we will be safe until.
The scene has been given a clear bill.
We know we must not cry or let out a shrill.
Teacher says chances of being hurt, are nil,
If we do as we are told and all be very still.

Perceptions and sensations,
sorrows and bliss elations,
arise and in time subside,
as on earth we wingless glide.
Step by step, we join the dots
but thoughts tie us up in knots,
whilst if we simply be still,
silence will wisdom instil.
One with universal mind,
no longer in ego’s bind,
by mirrorlessly seeing,
we reclaim our true being.
Letting go off, to get to,
each moment pristine and new,
doing nothing, we reboot;
into living light transmute.

Coronation
By Michelle Morris
05/05/2023
I wonder how King Charles feels
On the eve of his coronation
Disquiet or fears about
Letting down our nation?
Or perhaps calm and optimism
Joy, peace and happiness?
Confidence and trust
In his coronation being celebrated?
For heavy is the crown
And powerful is the throne
We mark this occasion
The uniting of our home
An historic investiture
A celebration of this moment
Embracing the future plans
To connect us as a country
May God bless our King
And lead him beside still waters
Through every challenge
And every accomplishment
May the crown be lightened
By faith and guidance
May our nation instil pride
In our hearts and minds

Spawn Variant, with powers unheard,
With magic and strength, your every word.
Shadows and darkness, your timeless reign,
Variant shows a world that's not in vain.
With flick of wrist and flash of light,
Variant transforms the world in sight.
Changing landscapes with spells so rare,
Anything is possible in Spawn's dark lair.
Rivers run red, with blood and fire,
As Variant's powers take gamers higher.
The mountains rise, with peaks so high,
As Variant's magic touches the sky.
The creatures are fierce, unnerving, and bold,
But Variant's magic makes them cold.
With every wave of your hand, you instil the fear,
So that everypath, every step, every end is clear.
With powers so vast, Variant guides the way,
Changing the world, with what you choose to say.
A different world, a new way to survive,
With Variant at your side, bringing you alive.
So come one, come all, join the hunt,
Unleash your powers, and take the stunt.
Embrace the shadows, and rule the land,
For Variant is here, with magic so grand.

Ego only knows
joy that comes and goes
but soul,
in the boat God rows,
feels how rapture grows.
Our role,
striking a love pose,
in gentle repose,
life’s goal.
Soul’s light that fears stole,
forms in heart a hole.
We will
heal if we extol
God who makes us whole
and fill
love that does cajole
us to bat and bowl
with skill.
Earth life’s but a drill
letting love instil
bliss dose.
Taking a chill pill,
letting nectar spill,
endows,
God’s musical trill,
that cures every ill
lust chose.

What meaning do you give
To lips moving up and down again?
Torn clothes, a broken nose
Drawing a smile on your face with pen
Different ages, different years
A target for abuse, told to refrain
Inside a system punishing the innocent
For going against the grain
Stalking you into a corridor
Eyes from blue collars are eager
To watch as water is thrown in the face
From a foe weak and meagre
Stealing from the weak
This is how it is perceived
Innocent, yet in suspension
Another persecutor craving attention
Together they form a team on a court
Not to play games but to instil fear
To attack those who cannot stand up for themselves
To those who seek approval, merely a sport
A foundation harnessed at home
Anger authorised by a lack of affection
Take responsibility for your child
And for their perception

Nations thrive, connive, destruct -- the birds still instil awe, naturally

Heretics and falsehood abound, but cows, even pigs, in town, reassure us of survival.
NOTE: In cities& towns in South Africa, the changes since Nelson Mandela's revolution, allows mainly black farmers & persons to let livestock roam towns for leftovers, rarely herding them.. Some eat plastic bags. Two are sleeping on the sidewalk, next to our only hotel, in Kerk Street, as I write/ edit

Make a promise to re-instil that dream
Every generation need leaders and guides
Reach out to younger ones inspire again
It time to unshackle all the true dreamers
Change will come if you choose to accept
Arise show leadership to the new leaders

Try to be happy dear,
Instil into heart cheer,
Keep your mind clear,
Soul, with hope, steer.
Never entertain fear,
As worry turns severe,
Allow not doubts near,
Give not to gossips ear
God will surely interfere
If you pray despite tear,
God will secretly appear
As, prayer, He does hear
In a gloomy atmosphere
Peace will just disappear,
Solace is given by prayer
Due hope, it will deliver
A wise heart is hope-carrier,
A wise mind is ever sincere,
With an oath, start the year,
Never feel you are inferior
At you when adversities jeer,
Become a very firm believer,
God will remove every barrier,
He will bless you to be happier
When you try to get silver,
Gold, prayer will deliver,
Forget the Lord never,
Thinking you are clever
Believe in God's power,
He makes peace flower,
In bliss, He helps us tower,
He is noble souls' lover
God loves a true toiler,
He makes him not suffer,
He gives the best offer,
He fills kindly his coffer
If your mind gets fever
To God, hopefully refer
Your state, He will infer
And give the best buffer!
