Premium MemberA Thanksgiving Prayer 2024

Dear God, on this Thanksgiving Day,
I bow to you and humbly pray.
Thank you, Lord, that my mind is clear
and that I know the day is here.

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of life
Even though it’s tainted by strife.
Thank you for freedom and for peace
And for law enforcement police.

Thank you for family and friends
and for the joy their presence lends.
Thank you that I can see and hear,
their faces and their voices clear.

Thanks for meats, pies, veggies, and stews
but more than these for teeth to chew.
Thanks for the system to digest
the fusion foods my mouth ingests.

Thank you for limbs and feet to walk
For lungs to breathe and tongue to talk.
Thank you for health and strength to strive,
and for a working car to drive.

Thank you, dear God, for a good job,
So, to eat, I don’t have to rob.
Thanks for the home in which I live
and for the many gifts you give.

Above all, thank you for your Son
And for the victory He won.
Upon the cross, He died for me
But when He rose He snatched death’s key.

Give me a grateful heart each day
and help me in your love to stay.
So, one day I can feast with Thee
when this world is from sin set free.

     Devil's vengeful roar captures innocent
     Exhale scorches bystanders randomly
     Volcano spews brimstone belligerent
     Dissolves small boy's chance single handedly

     Hitler contempt casts heinous destruction
     Whip of his cape compel madmen to leap
     Grief ingests itself, victim grows gumption
     Roots for resprout cling to resovoir deep

     Wrap gilded courage with rebounding soul
     Compassion coiled to return after hurt
     Bravery engraved on stalwart patrol
     Solution driven man spurns Satan’s curse

     Devoid of vanity, heart vivacious
     Benevolent flare given in furnace

          Sorry
          My Selfless Beloved

I'm indulging myself by re-posting this poem from 2017
because it cracks me up and I thought we might laugh together

Oh, no, he best not patronize me on Valentines.
If I must dramatize appreciation, I shall agonize.

Each year, he thinks chocolates will rationalize
spending his time guarding the sofa so it won’t rise,
while my cooking and housework threaten to paralyze
all I am behind my victimized and exhausted eyes.
Unless he bears one, one way ticket for me to paradise
or procures a gift he ingests that will tranquilize,
he can stuff candy hearts in his behind so gelintized.

The last time I fell for that darned, deceiving cupid
I committed to him and living my life forever stupid.

Strange Funny Food

Look there, what an
    enlightened human being,
    only feeds on light ...
    Just eats wafer ...
    And the other ... what a food
    so rich ...! eat pearls
    in oysters ...!
    But look that other poor guy ...
    It's pure bone ... ingests calcium
    in excess ... pure bone is
    his  favorite dish ...
    Look at the poor diabetic!
    Nourishes from the sugar of sweet
    kisses... osculates all day,
    so many girls...
    Poor thing from that other:
    To feed he needs
    wear glasses ... and what glasses ...!

Premium MemberNot Like the Rest

Ponder the pest
It's not like the rest:
  Can't stick out its chest
  Doesn't have a nest
  Your crops it infests
  Devours and ingests
  Acts rather stressed
  Promotes such unrest...
    It's not a good guest
    It flunks every test
    It's certainly not blessed
    its presence you detest
    It exists to molest
    It's often hard-pressed
    It's best when obsessed
    Yet may I suggest
    Somewhat in jest
    At its progenitor's behest
      ~ With your head it has messed.

Premium MemberSunshine and Showers

Every dusk of the dawn he rises to immanent blues
                                                 Melancholia like echolalia embraces his morning
Combatting the blaze and blinded by mourning
                                             He settles for the day whatever the weather inside
Scorching steps in the heat he rides waves of the river

                                             Tears have dried up the rays of light that were his
And will be when solar floods shadow muddy prisms

                                  He is a dweller quelling in sadness for what seems eternal
Moments and yet his sorrow is finite will be kindled by love

                            Saved by a rainforest of shelter in the warmth of her kindness
He kindles Mother Earth and wakes up to his soul mates’ smile

                               Before long when his whine has turned water he drinks from
The fountain ingests the fire on his skin saved and restored
                               Soon Sunna and Neptune dance in tune with each other and
Showered by sunshine reigns of rainfall enlighten what becomes

The Subway

The Giant Pouple with a dozens throats
One day had grown in the earthly womb...
So widely his tentacles sprawled...
Year after year, they grow more and more...

Attracts a people, and next – ingests them-
So that on another ending place.
Exhale these faces. Inhale new faces,
And almost never stop all the ways...

The severe metal-stone brutal beauty...
This road leads to the world unreal...
Synthetic wind, artificial spirit-
I don`t know why, but so nice to breath...

A rattlesnakes all are creeping, crawling,
And blinding by spotlights from the dark,
Doors, like a jaws, rumbled, broadly opened-
Exchange a humans, inside and out...

And, clamped maws, racing – faster, louder,
With thunder deafening, rush headlong...
Just you... and aliens are around...
The blask way to nowhere, never, not...

It lasts so long, seems to be eternal,
Where is a finish – it no one knows...
Until a heartbeat will end forever-
Fall hopelessly in the abyss hole...

But...power came to nought...stop.. it`s exit.
Through this – go on the stars, to the sky...
Go on the groundface. Leave a depth`s monsters-
To the paths, waiting for walks and rides...

Autumn Dance

As you dance among the leaves absorbing Autumns chilly breeze
Umbrella of colors brain ingests assists minds eye a peaceful rest
Totally brings you to your knees this peaceful landscape of the trees
Upon your eyes, gloriously pleased, boredom appeased, animations crest
Memory engages raking hordes of leaves as they slowly became deceased
Natures frequency of positive ion charged crisp cool air digest

Dance Now, Canvas doesn't capture rapture
Audible, amplified wind drifting hisses
Numerous leaves, blowing their own individual bliss dispatcher
Cleansing whirlwind whips frosted kisses
Enticing ciders, cinnamon and carved faced pumpkins to fracture

Birds- Mystic's Split Haikus

the weaver song birds
weave most elaborate homes
that
LOOK LIKE UPTURNED FLASKS

hummingbird's sweet trills
charms us because it ingests
in
NECTAR TWICE ITS WEIGHT

petite and plumpy
love birds are valentine's souls
but
DON'T EAT CHOCOLATES

Newly cut grass
Fresh fragrance;
A scented dawn

~~~~~~~~~
Plumeria sunrise
Yellow and red;
Abundance flowers
~~~~~~~~~

Daylight springs
Sharp streams blazing;
No more darkness

~~~~~~~~~
Strange winding path
Etchings of patient feet;
Lost round the bend
~~~~~~~~~

Daybreak
Blurry eyes dart;
Suddenly aware

~~~~~~~~~
Time and space greet
The morning sunrise;
Promising agenda
~~~~~~~~~

Joy calls my name
In birdsong whispers;
A smile glides

~~~~~~~~~
Coffee brew signals
Day time manoeuvres;
Awareness ingests
~~~~~~~~~

Talk of weather
Dark clouds hover;
Umbrella panorama

~~~~~~~~~
Morning deluge
Work day commotions;
Another day screams
~~~~~~~~~

Zen garden stroll
Anchor mindful feelings;
Icy air draught

~~~~~~~~~
Frangipani tree
Old and autumnal;
Mellow motions
~~~~~~~~~

Traffic congestion
City bound people;
Precise distractions

~~~~~~~~~
Somnolence lingers
Awareness seeps slowly;
Awakening blots
~~~~~~~~~

With But Words

Lungs of time

Forever purging yesterdays fever and chills
clueless of ether's match for now
today's fresh intake of memories waiting
no longer a calm awakening
our ears await the sound

By chance

While morning may coughing bring
sending dream's breath asunder
caring not for the sparrow's retreat from sill
or the disturbed peace of
last nights pages at rest

We stir

How vacuous early hours may seem
as thought takes leave of dreaming's insistent clatter
begging caffeine's amorous embrace
even as inhaling ingests wakeful elements aroused

Soon

The pen is lifted
greeting Mind's quiet place
that realm where magic releases wonder
asking for voices yet explored

Patiently

Our unspoken words
our unwritten thoughts
awaiting vision's full awakening
take flight with the uptake some call
the Ah Hah moment of gratitude

We lean forward

The pen lifted
timely resonance delivers
today's sustenance
tomorrow's next pages
perhaps future's chance to ruminate

Arbeit Macht Frei

ARBEIT    MACHT     FREI  *

Each metro station should have this sign.
Descend to the hot abyss, to the line.
Steel monster vomits people to the platform,
Ingests another  load,  another swarm.

Roar of machines. No protest voice -
Up the Mauthausen quarry steps, no choice.
Silent victims into the Auschwitz chamber -
Tiring, lifeless journey to nowhere.

Crowded metro carriage glass-cage:
Same strangers every day - no gender, no age:
Lost silent souls packed,  almost touch but never  do;
Close-facing, but eyes far-looking through you.

As animals trying to avoid fights but never fleeing,
No one knows or wants to know your inner being,
Your feeling, your thought, your life, your care.
Mechanical hell on wheels going nowhere. **

……………………………………………………………………………………………..

* Infamous sign on Nazi concentration camp entrance,
   translates as "Work will make you free".

**Poem is dedicated to the 2 000 000 people who use the
    metro daily in St. Petersburg, Russia.
