Mind of the heart

When heart be quiescent, free from desire,
mind too rests, since there’s nothing to be done,
ego consigned to the funeral pyre,
breath by breath as we slowly come undone,
the heartbeat of God and ours become one.
Ceasing thinking, our head with heart linking,
we attain pure awareness unblinking.

Heart offers instantaneous knowing,
wherein we do not attain but become
the totality within

Zen mode

toroidal heart expands
centred in the heart of God
looking on in wonderment 
as we exult joy we nod

Tears of the Dragon

I believed that darkness was all consuming
wouldn't dare look up and dream

Entranced by depths of a sea beckoning
bewitched ~ transfixed

I didn't believe the sun would rise
and shine for me ~ rather ...

I believed in the tears of the dragon
a monster hovering over me

I believed in the tears of a captive heart
beached wounded and lame

If in your love I meet my end, how sweet to die,
Or if your breath restores my soul, what joy is nigh.

You are an ocean, vast with grace, I but a shell,
If one pure drop I drink of you, all will be well.

The morning breaks—if with true wine my cup you fill,

Love's Beating

Soul of one's life, does it live to exist 
Perhaps emotional wreck of many desires breath 
Love, hate, judgement to feel as if thought 
Undying voice controlling journey of life 
You can not kill for its idealistic 
Realities truth to honesty in a race 
Can not hide, darkness depths can't contain 
Even the unkind feel

day by day and brick by brick
we're building the foundation
of the person we want to be

who knows what lies around the corner
or who we'll meet upon our path

we hope to be ready in our hearts
and be the person we're proud to be
to make the most of each new opportunity

HOPE OF A DIAMOND

Eyes like a Colored Diamond
Became like a Stone
She wanted to Run away
Not from Life
But from Present.

Her thoughts Becoming deeper than Galaxy
Hiding a Ocean behind her eyes.

Fool's Errand

I wonder after his black spectacles,
if I could recognize his phantom's scare
by his bandy left foot, something he'd wear:
constrictor turtlenecks, cowboy buckles
his trials decided by flayed knuckles
his tombstone eyes, the depth of night they bear.
