In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet:
for the trumpet shall blow, and the dead shall be raised up
incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
—1 Cor 15:52

To Friendly Face and Open Door

Spring of daffodils and time change,
of snowy Bradford pears and I,
to friendly face and open door;
ecstatic at the doctored lift.*

Of snowy Bradford pears and I,
an hour that cannot be reclaimed.
Ecstatic at the doctored lift.
Latter smile on church-countenance.

An hour that cannot be reclaimed,
and thus the gimp has no inkling.
Latter smile on church-countenance.
Pain perished in twinkling moment.

And thus the gimp has no inkling,
saved from the click clack of a clock.
Pain perished in twinkling moment,
in glory of Great Physician.**

Saved, from the click clack of a clock,
to friendly face and open door.
in glory of Great Physician,
Spring of daffodils and time change.

Betty was not very tall
Her shoes seem to be small
She walked with a limp
Mistaken for a gimp
Or an excess of alcohol

Hand-I-Capped

Do you have five fingers
without a fist

A hope that lingers
a wanton wish

Do your letters jumble
beneath the words

Does your breath cut off
before it’s heard

Does silence threaten
what can’t begin

With empty horror
begetting sin

Whose grip wraps tightly
o’er digits limp

Your soul indentured
—creation’s gimp

Implored To Persevere

I'm believing that next year,
 will be better than the last,
   One thing for sure,
 I won't dwell in the past.

   I cannot recall,
 anything easy or simple,
   The entire year,
 I'm in pain and a cripple.

   I can barely walk,
 my hips will not engage.
   I feel helpless,
 and my temper is in a rage.

   I'm not able to work,
 you could say I'm a gimp,
   Being handicapped,
 no place for a wimp.

   I can't get no help,
 from social security,
  Government offices,
 run on inefficiency.

   I'm not even able to get,
 decent medical attention,
  This blows my mind,
 out of my comprehension.

   I have a friend,
 who helps take care of me,
   Looks like old age,
 is not hassle-free.

   January first,
 I will have Medicare,
  They charge me 150.00 a month,
 I have not a penny to spare.

   I went to court,
 a judge ruled in my favor,
   This is where,
 things began to waiver.

   Every month,
 I struggle to pay my rent,
   Social Security,
 gives me grief and torment.

   I hang in there,
 because this year will be a better year,
   If nothing else,
 I'm implored to persevere….

Ode To An Orphan Outcast

A tiny runt who cannot run,
mom kicked me out because I limp.
The big dogs call me dumb, a gimp,
off-beat orphan, claimed by no one.

A Mowgli bumming all around,
Where is that warmer welcome mat?
there sits Bagheera, mama cat;
a foundling's hope perhaps is found.

She takes me in with her own kits;
they share and care for me at last.
Not long and I forget my past;
my name escapes the dog obits.

Gimp and Limp

Gimp and Limp

In Trump style should put a crimp;
We should love those who will limp;
With words fumble;
Forgot about humble;
Trump's body looks like a big blimp.

Jim Horn

About time Trump is always behind,
And the last time we saw his mind
God had delivered,
And Trump quivered;
He gave his back to God in a bind.

Jim Horn

Pink Browed Rose Finch

His pink color with back feathers trim,
Always reminds me so much of him,
Wise men of old,
Have been told;
With gold, seraphim and cherubim.

Jim Horn

Poet Named Kash

With a round face and body thin,
I always can remember when,
Had been caught,
With much thought;
My life had started and did begin.

God Again Will Bless

CVS must really be a mess,
That you know is my guess;
May be ill;
Prescription fill;
God again I know will bless.

Roll On

Lauren Hill slow songs thrill,

they pop like a fast moving pill,

I am flopped on top of a junk food bill,

and running with a skunk who tells me to take in my fill-

like leading um' on into my dream,
I create a festering lean,

I rank every thought in order of how I like it,

and prep for a long time that's gonna break all the cycles.

Striding with my shrine,

as I shock a spine,

revitalize and prime-

as I preen and primp and chimp-

as I act like a pimp,

I black out and gimp,

skimp out on my dying moment because death is no shrimp!

The Ugly Truth

I despise of having to be politically correct.
I shiver when someone calls me physical handicapped.
It sounds like they are trying to put cotton around the ugly truth,
and I throw the untarnished truth back in their face by calling myself a gimp.
And I do it with pride.
Also, every time I do it, I just smile sweetly when they cringe.

I wish the world would just go back where people speak the truth
without any hesitation or trying to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy.
Is it too much to ask everyone to take their rose-tinted glasses off and start
telling each other the ugly truth?

Premium MemberTo Dumb To Lay Down

Down, so many things forced down,
they force you look down, lie down,
even music tracks “comma, down, doobee down.”
	The tracks the coyote left in the snow
drew my eyes down, the cat is missing.
Poor half-bitten stray, already a gimp,
I bet he was overcome and went down,
down by the riverside
	down by …

Yes, the down-drums,
I ain’t going to worry war no more,
I ain’t going to worry war no more.
Yeah, right—

Of course, there are some good downsides
when a lover goes down, but all and all,
I prefer the upbeat,
to the beat-down
the suburbs to the
downtown.

Consider the Chimpansee,

Consider
the Chimpansee,
are we from them ? I
wonder, these,
This one is smart
and can use tools,
Our elder caveman,
murderers, rules,
The cannibals from
the trees?

They kill in battle
other Chimps,
And eat an enemy
dead an limp,
Jungle rules are
these,
Invested with spirit
man,
A lonesome spirit in
command,
The conscience part
2 understand?

A spirit & the gimp,
Who controls the
wimp,
Monkey power &  a
wimpy spirit grand,
Power struggle  by
passion damned,
Foul murder, angers
quilt,?
Psychiatrist may
wilt,
If its just a monkey
, grand!
Weak spirit, feet of
sand!

Don Johnson

Edgar Cayce said we
took over the bodies
of animals when when
we arrived here on
the planet in spirit
form...it was fun to
try out different
Animals and
birds...stay in the
body too long and
harden in and wait
for the Animal to
die...simply
Possession....

A Dog Brings Hope

The other dogs, not a one was lame,
they called me "Hobble" cause I limp.
I am hoping you will change my name.
No dog wants to be called a gimp.

I can walk, just don't run very fast
Here’s hoping you don't have a cat.
When it comes to chewing, I'm the best;
I have caused some problems with that.

Say you'll keep me, I'll be friends with you
if you have a cat, I'll learn to cope.
Maybe you can teach me not to chew;
I can teach you lots about hope.

Solitude

The limp an the sadness, poetry n madness,
the horror of war and the gimp,
Aussie first war guys walked,
 walked n side stepped the cries,
a bagman a swaggie,
camped down on the creek,
where solitude lies,
as i speak...

thank you Patrick  Cornwall.....

Change Part 2

We've got innocent people,
Living in reminiscent times of indiscriminate evil,
We need an upheaval,
To retrieve our humanity,
Relieve all the vanity,
And plead for some sanity,
PLEASE Mr. Hannity!...

We say In God We Trust,
But not in US?
Cause US ain't just,
We're just too dangerous?
We must be animals...
Only after power and lust,
Cannibals...
Consuming every little thing that we touch,
But don't you understand that this is understandably much?
To say that we are nothing without a government crutch?
Without the government we wouldn't be limping and such,
Walking around like a gimp without a cane to clutch... unfinished
