Best Gimp Poems
If you ever drive through our small Oregon Town
You won't help but notice the house that's run down
A man called Bill Disney lived there for ten years
When we learnt of his story it brought many tears.
He was covered in burn scars and walked with a limp
As kids we knew no better and called him the gimp
He rarely went out, sometimes stood at his front door
The only one that spoke to him was a girl at the store.
When folks in town died we'd always show respect
What happened at Bills service we didn't expect
Ten Vietnamese women stood by a general’s side
When the general told his story many of them cried.
"It happened in Vietnam in the year sixty five
These women standing here are lucky to be alive
An orphanage was on fire when Bills platoon arrived
Thanks to Bills heroic action everyone in it survived.
He rushed towards the entrance kicking down the door
And he kept going back in and bringing out more
Went back in one last time to check all was clear
So full of determination and he showed no fear.
The heat was so intense and the building ablaze
You could just see the outline through smoky haze
He finally came out and collapsed on the ground
With third degree burns that's what the medics found.
An honourable discharge and then he came here
And a medal of honour for the man with no fear
That rescue changed Bill he was never the same
People avoided him they should bow down in shame.
He was born in New York city but didn't go back
And settled down here to get his life back on track
He'd been missing for a week so the police called around
And got in touch with us when his medal they found ".
The general then added" Bill was one of the best"
And asked for volunteers to carry him to his rest
I looked around the church at all the hands in the air
Felt sad that when he needed help it just wasn't there.
Never judge a book by its cover my mother told me
I wish I had listened to her and helped Bill Disney
At his graveside seven soldiers fired shots in the air
A great shame it took his death for people to care.

One evening Bob nervously said
I kinda like three in a bed
She said I’ve got friends
And each of them tends
To share the desires in your head
The next night as had been arranged
His ankles and hands were in chains
His lady walked in
With Rodney and Jim
And that kinda messed with his brains
His girl was a leather clad gimp
And Jim looked a bit of a wimp
Rodney said ducky
Time to get mucky
But Bob was decidedly limp
*
Time to collaborate...
First ‘up’... Jan Allison
Bob swallowed six Viagra whole
And soon was like a flag pole
Much to his delight
He stayed up all night
The threesome all enjoyed their roll
*
And from Tom Cunningham...
Poor old Bob was a pitiful sight
His girl decided to put things right
She produced a pump
And worked on his stump
And Bob was like a stallion all night.
Old Bob was so grateful for his girlfriend
But all things good always come to an end
With too much thumping
And all the humping
His thing deflated and started to bend.
*
And Belle Bellevue writes...
Bob went to see the doctor with his crick
Asking please could he do something with it
Doc gave it a jerk
That really hurt
But it became bigger after the visit.
That put a smile a mile wide on Bob's face
He strutted proudly all over the place
The more people looked
The longer he stood
With swollen head penetrating airspace.
Bob begged his girlfriend to bring some more in
The home fast becoming a den of sin
They came three by three
A sexy grand prix
Which ended up with Bob in a tailspin.
*
Mark Koplin adds...
Old Bob was a motherless soul
He liked bears, sheep and woodchuck holes
All three gave him a grin
On his chinny chin chin
Next time he’ll add a few moles
*
And Tania adds this...
Bob was enjoying being wildly bad
Posted a dating site with his fun add
So anxious he couldn't sleep
After being banned a creep
He was now left a frustrated poor lad

It could have been me,
It might have been you.
Race and color is baloney,
When another hurts you!
Three huge men, watched
a New York woman die.
They even shut the door.
I was both angry and wanted
to cry.
Her face was smashed by his
gigantic feet.
But those three men, who did
not a thing, explain that to your
maker when His face you meet!
It's easy to stop disaster... stop
being a wimp!
Open your mouth, distract them,
don't be a useless gimp.
Here's a simple ploy, that stops
any bully of a man!
Yell......"Your fly is open," he
becomes dis-manned.
I did that myself on the streets
of San Francisco!
A man beating a woman in
broad daylight, oh?
Blood flying just everywhere,
pedestrians ignored it?
I just got in his face, told him
to stop hitting her this minute!
Don't ask me where that courage
came from!
I just saw pain and wanted to
stop the bum!
He swore at me, in words quite
unintelligible!
Turned angrily away, and ran on
the double.
I helped the woman pick up her things.
She said, thank you and went about
on about her meanderings.
"Don't be a wuss, and ever allow another
to be beaten!"
Being a good Samaritan means you are
a credit to the human race.
Something that neither time nor age can
ever deface!
When police are not in the area to assist
you....
Support your fellow human,
Walking away, I heartily eschew!
Perhaps it was two beatings, I endured in
Chicago Public Schools?
That gave me the courage to make protecting
another, my life's golden rule!

Lauren Hill slow songs thrill,
they pop like a fast moving pill,
I am flopped on top of a junk food bill,
and running with a skunk who tells me to take in my fill-
like leading um' on into my dream,
I create a festering lean,
I rank every thought in order of how I like it,
and prep for a long time that's gonna break all the cycles.
Striding with my shrine,
as I shock a spine,
revitalize and prime-
as I preen and primp and chimp-
as I act like a pimp,
I black out and gimp,
skimp out on my dying moment because death is no shrimp!

Blank verse
Down, so many things forced down,
they force you look down, lie down,
even music tracks “comma, down, doobee down.”
The tracks the coyote left in the snow
drew my eyes down, the cat is missing.
Poor half-bitten stray, already a gimp,
I bet he was overcome and went down,
down by the riverside
down by …
Yes, the down-drums,
I ain’t going to worry war no more,
I ain’t going to worry war no more.
Yeah, right—
Of course, there are some good downsides
when a lover goes down, but all and all,
I prefer the upbeat,
to the beat-down
the suburbs to the
downtown.

My child came home from school today
Unlike every other day, she didn't want to play
She looked deep in thought and sat quiet for a while
I asked "what's wrong? Where's your pretty smile?"
She started with "well mommy I don't know what to do"
"the best part of my day was coming home to you"
So I asked if someone was mean to her at school
She said "no not to me mommy, but most the kids are cruel"
"They're mean to Bobby Joe, they say he has ugly toes"
"They're mean to Rose, they say she has a crooked nose"
"They pick on Sarah for wearing braces"
They pick on Zoey because she can't tie her shoe laces"
"They say Matt and Molly have four eyes"
"They say all the teacher does is tell lies"
"Curtis gets teased for the color of his skin"
"Angel gets teased for having two moms, they say it's a sin"
"They poke fun at Sandra, she has no hair, they threw her wig"
"They poke fun at Lee and call him a pig"
"They call Mark names too because he walks with a limp"
"I'm not sure why, but they call him a gimp"
"They said they won't be my friend if I talk to the others"
"I don't really care because we all have and need each other"
"I'm dreading tomorrow they're going to be mean to me too"
I'm going to pray for all of them tonight, the mean ones too"

Consider
the Chimpansee,
are we from them ? I
wonder, these,
This one is smart
and can use tools,
Our elder caveman,
murderers, rules,
The cannibals from
the trees?
They kill in battle
other Chimps,
And eat an enemy
dead an limp,
Jungle rules are
these,
Invested with spirit
man,
A lonesome spirit in
command,
The conscience part
2 understand?
A spirit & the gimp,
Who controls the
wimp,
Monkey power & a
wimpy spirit grand,
Power struggle by
passion damned,
Foul murder, angers
quilt,?
Psychiatrist may
wilt,
If its just a monkey
, grand!
Weak spirit, feet of
sand!

Edgar Cayce said we
took over the bodies
of animals when when
we arrived here on
the planet in spirit
form...it was fun to
try out different
Animals and
birds...stay in the
body too long and
harden in and wait
for the Animal to
die...simply
Possession....

Ballad
I despise of having to be politically correct.
I shiver when someone calls me physical handicapped.
It sounds like they are trying to put cotton around the ugly truth,
and I throw the untarnished truth back in their face by calling myself a gimp.
And I do it with pride.
Also, every time I do it, I just smile sweetly when they cringe.
I wish the world would just go back where people speak the truth
without any hesitation or trying to make everyone feel warm and fuzzy.
Is it too much to ask everyone to take their rose-tinted glasses off and start
telling each other the ugly truth?

A tiny runt who cannot run,
mom kicked me out because I limp.
The big dogs call me dumb, a gimp,
off-beat orphan, claimed by no one.
A Mowgli bumming all around,
Where is that warmer welcome mat?
there sits Bagheera, mama cat;
a foundling's hope perhaps is found.
She takes me in with her own kits;
they share and care for me at last.
Not long and I forget my past;
my name escapes the dog obits.

The other dogs, not a one was lame,
they called me "Hobble" cause I limp.
I am hoping you will change my name.
No dog wants to be called a gimp.
I can walk, just don't run very fast
Here’s hoping you don't have a cat.
When it comes to chewing, I'm the best;
I have caused some problems with that.
Say you'll keep me, I'll be friends with you
if you have a cat, I'll learn to cope.
Maybe you can teach me not to chew;
I can teach you lots about hope.

How can I give protection when the
lightning bolts are all on strike
And the thunder just rumbles.....
dissatisfied through the night.
And Zeus, you’d think he would help
but that wimp just sucks his thumb.
You should have heard him rant
calling all on the night shift dumb.
Just because they want to get paid
to stay home on the fourth of July;
but I think they’re dumb for dropping
all that wet stuff from the cloudy sky.
You should hear man begging so;
they promise any and everything.
“Lord just this once” they declare
hearing full well their hollow ring.
What if one of those sirens comes
wailing like a night banshee screams.
With no lightning bolts to throw
I can’t protect them much it seems.
Well, I can make some thunder to drown
that soulful sound moaning in the wind.
But if they realize this strike is going
they may decide to take me on again.
Then unless Zeus can save the day.
Well, it’s gonna be Katie bar the door,
and if there’s no one else to whom pray,
I think there wont be no Thor no more.

The limp an the sadness, poetry n madness,
the horror of war and the gimp,
Aussie first war guys walked,
walked n side stepped the cries,
a bagman a swaggie,
camped down on the creek,
where solitude lies,
as i speak...
thank you Patrick Cornwall.....

We've got innocent people,
Living in reminiscent times of indiscriminate evil,
We need an upheaval,
To retrieve our humanity,
Relieve all the vanity,
And plead for some sanity,
PLEASE Mr. Hannity!...
We say In God We Trust,
But not in US?
Cause US ain't just,
We're just too dangerous?
We must be animals...
Only after power and lust,
Cannibals...
Consuming every little thing that we touch,
But don't you understand that this is understandably much?
To say that we are nothing without a government crutch?
Without the government we wouldn't be limping and such,
Walking around like a gimp without a cane to clutch... unfinished
