SUMMER FEARS

Summers are getting hotter each year,
Soon our planet might not be here.

FEARS

Of greatest fears sunset with hard tears
For a young lass too soon to pass
Sweet without guile her fresh sweet smile,
Make no mistake, saw holy dawn break.

Crippling Fears

Xenophobia is a one-eyed monster,
the fear is so debilitating
that home is all the world one needs.

But when fear of strangers turns to prejudice
against people from other countries,
it's time to analyze the problem at its root.

When do we stop feeding the hate
that's rampant in this world of ours?

Confronting Shadows

I’m scared of the dark
When it’s dark our minds can wander
Creating objects and people that don’t exist
Anything or anyone could be hiding behind and object that we can’t see behind, waiting
Waiting to creep up to our bed and attack

The appearance of the same alluring dream
brings on adored visions of days already past;
and reliving them with delight, I can guard them 
without fearing that what is precious is never lost!

I do realize that the stronger the feeling,
the deeper is the meaning of each yearning;
buried it under sand dunes where the bagger gets drunk:

I put my heart on the line so many times,
I shared so much, I never felt the need to hide,
I viewed it as freedom to speak up and out,
I chose faith over fear more than anything else,
I watched fear debilitate and anxiety ridden,
Over cautious hearts believing it's wisdom to stay hidden,
All because they were scared

Everyone has fears
They could be ghosts flying around 
Noises coming from nowhere
Or that monster living under your bed
Even with all of those, you should not be afraid
All of your fears are nothing but dreams
Stories that your mind creates
And if you really think about it
What would your life be without dreams

What is it your heart desires
To forget sadness be inspired 
To see silver lining in dark cloud
Perfect timing for happiness now

Leave the past behind

These stairs have wept a million tears
walking from parking lot to hospital room
Hearts travel them, to meet their worst fears

Through shadows and shame, past years
Blessed by the memoires who consume

With the music of a soul ringing in my ears

You search for me
And stretch my soul
To explore mountain summits never imagined

You touch my wounds
And navigate the pain
To discover a sacred space of peace and healing

You kiss my fears
And nudge my secrets
To chase formidable currents down a noble river

You collect my bliss
And scatter my joy
To soar exposed without a need for concealment

Enveloping me in a cloudburst, 
my minacious blues held a funk.
Dribbles are now torrential,
a rainstorm in my brain.
Overactive mind,
l’m exhausted.
Let me go

In a realm of shadows and fears, footsteps tread unceasingly,
Small fears like dried leaves gather beneath the steps of autumn,
I am not a person, but a lost dream, among desires and shivers,
I fear small, ordinary, human things, like a wandering stranger.
I love adventures, transformations flow like a river to the unknown,
Yet I resist when opportunity

I will not speak of foreign lands, of the fears of other hidden worlds

But I will sing of the red eyes of envy, flames that burn in silence,
Of the sharp edges of broken hearts, carving dreams,
Of the poison born from them, the spiral of madness that lures us.

Unleashing more fears

my love life is like a plot in a grand novel,
     where dawn stands tall,
yet dusk must kneel
   and grovel.

each chapter of it dims as twilight nears,
     unleashing darkness that feeds on
the carcass of
   waning years.

I felt the darkness growing wild,
Flooding my thoughts with doubt and despair
I felt the shadows start to invite,
My heart was burning with fear and pain.

I felt the light fading – so dim
Pouring out worry and depression
I felt the music diminishing, silence beginning
