Nightmare Truths

Nightmare Truths

She hides the truth in nightmare screams,
Refusing to voice fevered dreams,
As moon bent shadows climb the wall,
To bring more demons to her hall.

Those who know her will see no tears,
She locks them away—shows no fears,
Fights her scars in silence alone,
Growing harder her heart of stone.

Many hide their scars and put on a strong facade. Powerful poem. Congratulations Danny on your POTD honor.

' her scars in silence alone. ' Not a safe place to hide them. It may be difficult setting tattered emotions free, but, that's the right thing to do. Even more so, in this case. No one should ever go through something like this. Ever ! Your thoughts tug deeply at my heart. Congratulations Danny, on Poem of the Day. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

Beautifully done rhythmic rhymes, congratulations on Poem Of The Day Danny Derden! To suffer in silence, a choice she's made--shadow deeds done a night terror it makes... not to convey, whatever it takes. No conscious, no bad dreams, she is not as bad as it seems! Enjoy your day! xXHugs faving

Thank you. It was a snapshot in time...if I write the next part of "her story" she begins to open up and fly...

Hi Danny, heart scars never heal, they just dig deeper into our soul, leaving heart and minds hollow. Way to go on the POTD! It brings back hollow memories, thanks dude, I didn't need that!...Lol, just kidding, no one has ever loved me!...well, not my heart at least! My mind, maybe...my money, definitely!
