This Weary Bench

A unfriendly wood, built long ago By unspoken nails, pressing in On spirits who feel the ache, heartbreak Trembling in rhythms, waves Melancholy, grief, the seeds of weeping Prayers who cease to feel relief From the unending protest of a soul Who just doesn’t know – tears still flow
