ALL IT TAKES
All it takes is a gentle chord in muted brass
The track does not need to be a tearjerker
But that certain sound always hits the mark
Not just lungs and lips to make the sound
Discipline for sure, but needs emotion too
And nostalgia echoes with tears in my eyes
Of days gone by with modest contributions
A part of sometimes magical arrangements
Capturing images of my deepest thoughts
Finally freed, and let loose into the world
To inspire, maybe trigger some memories
It may die away into silence, yet it lingers
Perhaps to even haunt another open mind

In earth's mournful sigh, the day does fade,
A quietus bow, as light to dark is made.
The sun descends; its fervor now grown still,
As night's embrace, a somber, haunting thrill.
Death's whisper cold, a solitary call,
To dance alone, 'neath the starless pall.
A journey's end, where memories decay,
In silent halls, where echoes die away.
The mortal coil, a brittle, fleeting thread,
Unravels fast, from life's loom it's fled.
Yet in this end, a somber peace we find,
As death's cold arms the weary soul do bind.
For in the gloom, where final breaths are lost,
The fear of end, by dawn's light is not tossed.
Death's icy hand, a guide through shadowed door,
To realms unseen, where spirits weep and soar.
So mourn it now, the quietus of night,
For in its grasp, there lies no promised light.
A cycle's turn, from ash to dust resumes,
In death, we lie, and in its silence, doom.

When I see your fantasy,
My heart is filled with ecstasy;
Roses my eyes do see.
When I set them to lie,
Over night's terrors they can't survive
But in your beauteous light do rely.
Goodnight to our sleepless souls,
Which linger not in holes;
But with endless oaths, stronger than poles:
Wherewith loving dreams can't help,
Espying the daily memories kep'.
We'd play in the downs
When the morning wears sweet-love gowns.
Indelible in the dark.
Love is stressed happiness:
That though it aches,.
Strengthens confidence of plain hearts.
Lo, Love be sickness:
To heal or let die away
Like a night turned out unto a day.

I've seen a man
Who lied in bed
His soul was deepest black
I've seen a girl
He wanted dead
She never did come back
Maybe she did die away
Like the man, to a heart attack
Maybe she’s alive today
Like the man, still lifts her back
I’ve seen a man
Who died in bed
His soul was not of black
His soul was white
For he had no might
To take all the colors stacked
But a man who lied in bed
Can live on instead
When no color is lacked
One day his soul
Will go on to pour
Every color, all in tact
And when he sees his precious rainbow
He never will turn back

Everyone Is dropping dead
but the dead no longer care,
they have left this fatal life to be truly living
while other’s are being buried
as they emerge from a womb.
It’s all good, all ordained by a choice,
for there is only One here
being born and unborn again.
Death comes when
the birth and death dream
falters and unravels.
It is sad; it is joyful,
it is heaven sent as a newborn
or as life’s lingering release.
Everyone drops dead in their head-space,
in the mind-cage,
then they allow the earth to die away
keeping only those live-long flowerings
which they then plant in a garden of love,
a garden enriched and gown from death.

Fall at your own feet
as subsided as you wanted to push me
Choke on your breath
as mine was to be taken
You cannot control Me
Fall at your own feet
live as obscure as you tried to hold me
Tie your arms around the blocking concepts,
blind and forsaken
You cannot hide Me
Fall at your own feet
as undeserving as you saw me
Stomp self to the ground,
swallow your own bitter token
You cannot stop Me
Fall at your own feet
eat your greed and resentfulness
Rip it apart, bleed it;
Live it!
Know you're broken
You cannot keep Me
So, Suffocate on your own End
[lose it, go away]
Nothing between us is left to mend
[leave it, die away]
Temple Dilapidated,
Learn Actions Consequence Trend
Fall from Tall;
Crawl to Small,
my "Friend".

For Professor Shea’s Class On Cultural Globalization
“The Forest of Generations”
The forest of generations
Each tree with a tale to tell
Upon the rings of their foundations
Where each history dwells
Tress of new and trees of old
Wear leaves like feathers
To display their colors in bold
A culture’s greatest treasures
Peaceful lives preserved
Fallen seeds writing new histories
Until the process was disturbed
By unexpected deliveries
A new species brought aboard
And spread among the trees
Where years’ traditions are stored
We’ll replace them with these:
That eat away at the leaves
Like a caterpillar without a cycle
These cultural thieves
Stole by their arrival
Although free of evil
Just a species displaced
A threat to the people
When their culture’s defaced
As they die away
Their colors become one
A global shift underway
Their histories undone
For every leaf that falls
A culture’s dead and gone
Hearing the distant calls
As we approach the dawn

Do you remember that ghost-eyed dog
on the beach who always came so close
to hunt us with her love?
She became one with the waves now,
washing away our hues and shades,
blessing the wet sand with her running paws.
She is so far away now,
her piercing blue eyes seeking for the unknown
pursuing the echo of our long-lost love song.
I’d like to believe
that it is its vibrations that keep her alive.
And no one can tell what will happen
when all the voices die away.
(...will she ever come back to find us?)

Serenade me with melodies dancing through the air.
Van Gough starry filled nights and lyrics with flair.
Soft songs of love that never die away.
Two lovers journey through a destination that marks path to pray.
No lonely nights
But a water colored haze of Monet’s sunshine rays.
No more good byes or tear filled eyes.
Splashes of melodies filling up the room.
A calming voice where no one feels gloom.

I looked onto the railway tracks
Relieving myself of cities grey
Exuberant in freighted happiness
As I watch the smoke puffs die away
My thoughts running on labyrinth tracks
Lapping up the miles and licking on
my ice-cream stick
Touching fields full of mustard flowers
The sun gazing down on them for hours!
Birds on wires passing by, keeping me company
Carried over bridges and through green valleys
Travelling through tunnels reminding me of
My heart racing, running through dark alleys
My childhood carried on parallel lines
It seemed in all that haste and change
Part of those journeys still define
The child I know and the woman I became!

When that farmer Spring timely plants her seed
in her breast forms a soft fragile vase
seasoned over with sun and rain take heed
young Flora grows hopeful in a secret place.
Summer tills where doubt before had grown
watered with passion petals unfold in the heat
youth inhaling the scent that’s sown
senses not cool evening’s breath on Augusts’ sweet.
abrupt Fall comes in to shake the boughs of fruit
and my heart’s murmur feels too soon a tune
cruel Winter playing upon a frigid flute
an epitaph scribbled on soft petals too soon.
As seasons fade flowers blossom then die away
expel their breath to sing another day.

IS FOREVER ALWAYS TODAY
Would you believe me if I said that I missed you.
That if after all we've been through my heart will forever commit itself to remain in this relationship with you.
That certain problems die away and others tend to resurface.
that in the blink of an eye we could lose sight of what meant most, closing the curtains on a more than excellent proposal that will forever remain perfect.
And within this precise time I've examined my conclusion.
Stating that two hearts such as ours, beating with enough energy to illuminate the stars will hide our dissapointments behind our closed eyes forming this illusion.
Now I slowly close my thoughts, surrendering to my subconcience.
Seeing my light fade into dark, exepting my fait while intentionally trying not to stop it.
My mind tries to decieve me while my thoughts still prove positive.
That while so in touch with ourselves lose sight of what was promised turning our essence of love into something never wanted, a gradual decrease from positive to the opposite.

Intimation of beyond
The attraction of the twilight firmament in a hazy stream,
invited me to ponder on the meadows of this timeless esteem.
Where this rotating light is a constant reflection by global sight,
apparel of celestial confinement in each moment of light.
Like the remembering and freshness of a dream,
observing the lights of heaven in this theme.
Only the utterance of time comes with grief, beautiful and fair,
while the frequency of timelessness has no promise to bare.
Echoes of images in constant seasons revealing our celestial infancy,
shades of the prison body shape shifting in this intimacy.
But behold in this light and observe how it flows,
it is the dream who daily furthers from the east and grows.
Natures priest must travel by visions splendid,
the dream makers way intended.
Time perceived will die away,
fading more and more to the light in centuries of a day.
Earth enjoys her spherical lap in celestial union kind,
unconditioned, forgiving and compassioned shined.
The ultimate mother nursing all she can maintain,
perpetual benediction simple and plain.

she filled a cup
with ambrosia
and handed it to her enemies
so they'd live forever.
she died the next day
with a smile on her face
watching their laughter die away
and their smiles slowly decay
as their guilt grows in a bouquet
of wilted roses
their sanity decomposes

Yellow Daffodils, I weep for
You die away so fast so cruelly
Dead only green withered stalks on display
The sun rises early with dew on grass so wet too wet.
White Man, black man, tanned man, yellow man, I weep for
They die so fast so cruelly leaving behind loved ones,
Waiting for the inevitable…..
The moon is blurred and so is the human heart.
