Daringly Poems

Alphabets gather as words unravel
the passing and returning of moans;
lines of phrases inflame the arteries
of beauty, angst, love interwoven
by imagination's pining.
Tingle of words… fragrance of vowels…
caress of verses enter the soul, as if to dive
into the very basin of layered expressions.
On a fresh scroll baring my bones
and rawest of mood,
I enter a daringly new dimension
with a theme that reels my senses
that ink and quill ravage fleshed pages
As poetry makes the eyes hungry.

Can you hear me?

my voice called out twice,
but i couldn’t stop there,
i wrote about a fatal vice,
your eyes being elsewhere,

it can be named assumption,
but i think it speaks for itself,
my ability to daringly jump in,
while further neglecting myself,

and every time it’s a rapture,
of the patient chasing game,
it’s a bore without a capture,
of soul who’s quite the same,

but i know how to leave it too,
it’s a choice i haven’t yet made,
because it ruins the idea of you,
and the mythology that i’ve laid.

Premium MemberThree rock magical journey

I hold three magic rocks, in my hand
Rolling them over and over and over
Leaving this reality behind, far behind

Rolling the first magic rock, a stage unfolds,
Where secrets of magic are daringly told.
With a flick of the wrist and a glint in the eye,
A world of illusion begins to fly high.

With the roll of second magic rock, a Genie takes flight,
With a shimmer of stardust, a magical sight.
"Three wishes, dear friend," the voice softly hums,
In realms of the impossible, where fantasy comes.

With the rolling of last magic rock, I dive into a magic divine,
The healing embrace of a love that’s benign.
In the heart of despair, where hope seems to wane,
A whisper of faith can ease every pain.

Life is a balancing game.
At times through dilapidated bridge,
With shattered rails and planks,
We have to daringly pass,
To reach our desired destination.

Premium MemberPoetry And The Poet

Though poetry requires
a sense of rhythm-form
(for clear recognition)
approach varies greatly,
the size of the word-ship
and runway --
whether calm sailing
or raging storm --
an even glide
or extreme dive alarm --
the pilot of his poem
the Imager of his sea and sky,
some plot more
while others, haphazardly
simply take-off and fly --

what is poetry?
what is living?
calmly controlled aspirations
while the athlete pushing beyond
safe limits, what we are
secure with~ or also phantasmagoric?

thus having choice of Free-range
a poet, I believe, will often test his craft
will chance a dunk and raft
will test his life
will break-ranks
and recklessly
daringly explore it!

                     daringly doting

There are always a few
Troublesome “tickl-ings “
Daringly darting
In somnambulant slumber
Shape shifting shadows
Mocking the moonlight
Creeping through the crevasses
Of literary limitation
Weeping with the whispering words
Subtlety suppressed by silence
Like mice they meander the mind
Seeking sustenance and satiation
Borrowed brown shoes
Dancing in a dusty darkness

Whose smile and behavior are more devilish than Tom Cruise’s?
Naturally cast to play Maverick, daringly bending the rules.
Putting himself and his bestie Goose in danger, over and over.
They both are enjoying US Navy’s elite fighter weapons school.

Maverick is conceited, cocky, and super believably over-confident
As is Iceman, his nemesis, and major competitor, played by Val Kilmer.
The two together carry this movie to an exciting fruition.
Maverick's flirtation with Charlie, astrophysics instructor adds pizazz.

I do not think you will be bored if you rent this one dated 1986.
Thirty-seven years later, it still makes me smile.
Of course Goose’s death will always be sad, even now.

I HAVE A DREAM

I HAVE A DREAM™

In Martin Luther King Jr.'s binding words of oath,
Saving souls solely sold out for fair esteem,
Without gainsay, granulating the greatest quote,
Comes these four words "I Have A Dream."4

The marvellous melody of Martin's message,
Mingle minds - with magnanimous meanings,
And just like an age-long and archaic adage,
Mustered majestic march, melding morals.8

Memoirs of Martin's muse mimicked mystery
And his mighty moment moved mountains,
Miraculously merges and made history.
So, in our racial disunity, a united unity reigns.¹²

In the future's fair and fearless frame,
Black boys, white boys, hand in hand.
In unity, under sky's serene same,
Dreams dance daringly to destiny's demand.¹6

Girls of gold and girls of grace,
Gleaming, glowing, & growing together,
Heartbeats harmonize, honour embrace,
Hope's horizon, boundless, forever.²°

No colour confines, no creed can chain,
Tomorrow's truth, in love, we attain.
“I have a dream that one day, little black boys & girls
Will be holding hands with little white boys & girls.”²4

I Know Not When

When you see I look just fine,
looking like im having fun,
it's that Trelegy ellipta, all mine,
my life saving,
horribly hard-core,
expensive friend.
Improves quality of life
but hastens that final end.
It's that daringly dubious
double edged sword.
There's no purpose in intubation.
But I beat him back
as best I can,
armed with Z-packs
and other medication,
his staph advances once again.
I am armed and ready.

I stand at the gate,
watching closely,
I know his plan
to hit me harder
to extract that fee,
but I know just when to strike,
the moment to open that Z.
I have to laugh,
going home has never been so much fun,
i'm certainly not suffering.
But he will come
like a thief in the night
to take me home
suddenly.
I know not when.

"And magnificently we will flow...
into the mystic..." (Van Morrison)

Premium MemberThere Lived a Man

There lived a man, in a village ancient
With sagely wisdom like fire-borne gold
With mountainous virtues he stood patient

To hold on to his beliefs he was bold
Each test of his life he daringly bore
With sagely wisdom like fire-borne gold

Dilemmas, no doubt, troubled his inner core
Conflicts within and without did torment
Each test of his life he daringly bore

Though to no evil course he did relent
Good seemed bad, vice versa; he was perplexed
Conflicts within and without did torment

When he found in a state morally vexed
He took hold of the hand of the Lord, lo,
Good seemed bad, vice versa; he was perplexed

With his life, so lonely, like a caged pet
There lived a man, in a village ancient
He took hold of the hand of the Lord, lo,
With mountainous virtues he stood patient

Premium MemberA Desert Trek

A group of three set out on a mountain trek
Beyond the known borders into regions strange
Climbing up steep and rocky paths
Daringly they moved forward
Engrossed by the beauty of the mountains
Flaunting their towering summits
Governed by an instinctive urge for adventure
Headed to the vast stretch of sands
In no hurry were they but in a relaxed mood.

Just a mile away stood the tall mountain peaks
Kissing the seams of the heavens
Lovesome was the evening and clear was the sky
Mild and pleasant was the climate
Never knew any fatigue
Oblivious of time speeding by
Passed across the vast stretch of sands

Quarter to a mile, the trek went haywire
Rapid was the arrival of the night
Sun had gone down in the west
Tedious was the journey in dim light
Unable to travel any further
Vanquished they felt, like defeated soldiers

Watchful they were of hindrances on the way like;
Xerophytes with thorns and humpy sand dunes
Yearning for safety, they retraced their steps,
Zooming through engulfing darkness…..

A Man Hunger Has Been Kicking

He is an occupant of a room damp
And dependent on a rejected lamp:
The worst so far in their camp …

A room often not illuminated
But in it plants still germinated,
Selecting peeping spots in a cemented floor,
Daringly doing so back to the room’s door.

The room’s nearest neighbor a smelly dump,
To many microbes their Releasing Pump
And, sure, the cause of The Man’s mumps
And as possibly his torturing lumps:
A man Hunger has been kicking his rump
And readying for a final slump …

But wither did The Man this foulness pick
And could Hunger make one licked plates still lick?

Nothing like an answer from Interviewed Nick
And rather a rude one from Starving Dick.
