Notes About The Poem
Edward Ibeh's Pick- A - Title, Vol 55... 13 Feb 26
Edge Of Night
Light vanished upon his leaving
with the final grip of dusk--
the perfume of asters wisping
softly and I shiver...cold, empty
clouds swallowing the kiln of lamppost--
and into the restless clang
from winds booming ,a melodv
of nightingales stutters
which makes noises louder
than my roars-- the ceiling of sky
breaking like shards of glass--
and within the luster of stars,
our distant , intermittent rendezvous
withers as his salt tears grate
the bitter tincture of night's edge
from all his trespasses...unsaid
