                                I went to a catholic school,
             was made to heed, conform and obey;
oh, those nuns could be so nasty and cruel.
they even forced us to make up sins and pray.
                                I was trapped in a dark place,
a place where being CReAtiVe was a disgrace;
so I wore a mask of- I am happy on my face,
      but, inside I was a butterfly just dying.
              Though, in time I broke free and was flying,
                               letting my artistry soar-  sighing;
writing poetry, yet still conforming to a rule,
               but when inspiration hits me I admit- I stray.
      Imagination and inspiration I embrace,
             my past CoNForMiTy-   I am not denying;
                              so, why am I crying, crying, crying . . .

Creativeness...conformity...a pair
     that go together just like night and day,
as one supports the other to declare
     a unity and balance, that must say

there's planning in a poem to be great
     with use of forms for rhythm, meter, rhyme;
to soften words, with music must collate,
     tho some commit to flow, discarding chime.

There's planning in a work of art; no doubt
     a painting, sculpture, shows a balanced form.
The curves and shapes, tho varied, even out...
     free-flowing shapes to unity conform.

Creativeness...conformity...a team
     for poets, sculptors, and each artist's dream.

Conformity: meaning accord, balance, harmony, order, unity

Premium Member Creative Conformity

Creative Conformity, an oxymoron.
No other explanation for I cannot fathom this term in any other way
What has already been, cannot be construed as creative.
And conformity has been done
And done
And done
And done
And done.
Overdone, to the point of ridiculousness.
Nothing creative about it.
If you ask me.
But what do I know?
I am only a poet,
An artist,
A painter,
A designer,
And a dreamer.
So please
Do not ask me.
Go inside your heart
And get the answer.

Are You Skew-Whiff

Are You Skew-Whiff?

				Are you feeling rather skew-whiff?
Awkwardly placed and standing?
		upside-down
		back to front
		inside      out
		topsy - turvy
							Are your senses damp and unresponsive,
					Beckoning confusion and despair?
	Does your heart pound even when there’s nothing exciting there?

   Forlorn, sorrowful, despondent,
			     You patronise your grief,
	      						Focus on your problem,
		To attain some relief;
You keep flitting to your pleasures,
	Lack, for contemplation, a quiet place,
				Force your troubles into the backroom,
		You’re not to dignify your face.
								Tomorrow is for thinking,
	    Will exist to accommodate,
			The glumness and the wretchedness,
         That seems to obliqueness and gloom proliferate.

So hard....
~~~ To be faithful - when you have the lips of a Goddess
Wait..
         Eternally for our love
Like that of twin flames
                          Do not count the days
                           1
                            2
                             3 years
We shall be together soon
We are spirits that run free -++++++- through the galaxy
                                   YOU
                                remind me
                                     of what I really AM
Certainty and Uncertainty
As adults we walk around the streets and parks
with a face saying “I know where I’m going,”
“I know what I’m doing”.
Timetables, manuals, diaries, and journals somehow
find themselves in our pockets,
as form of reassurance for “I know what I’m doing” slogan.
Other times     we show    a     blank expression      on our faces,
when     the  weather  forecasters         go        all      wrong;
when life     savings       end       up in    a    pyramid          scheme;
when heroine       dosage      goes       out      of  control;
when        we  blame      the   stars     for       a  breakup…….
Uncertainty       breaks  apart       our   certainty……
Dear Anna: For Contest
Dear Anna,
I
       Left you in order to save you from me.
Didn’t
       I warn you that I was poisonous?
Want
        Doesn’t overpower your need for a better life.
To
        Be with you would only hurt you more.
Leave
         You a chance to heal your own scars.
You
         Deserve better than the broken parts of me.
Behind
         Leave me in the dust and move on.
Anna.
I buy a train fare.
	Leave it all behind,
Love, pain, fears, smiles
	This heartbreak.
It hurts, but I do it.
	City after city…
                 But at the same time…
                                     I feel euphoric….
                                            Why does leaving you and San Francisco…
                                  Give me a renewed sense of…
                           Freedom….
Anna.
               I’m
       This
                           So
                    Is
                                         Sorry.
                             Goodbye.
                                 notes cry out             singing to me
                melodiously haunting                        ringing crystal clear
         perfect sharps resound                                 semi-tones rend through the air
             quavers hover in the air                       so very many sounds
                                  join together              mingling,  blending
     flutes playing high notes                                           drums bang out the beat
                harps, oh the harps                                  angelic notes float
Premium Member Dusk of Grey
On the outside,
               the quiet dusk of grey
Sits the cloudy days
                      of our ending times
We won’t speak about it,
                             it’s not okay
Your heart didn’t speak to me,
                       it won’t chime
Nor will it bring relief
               on crush align
Not a piece of me
                       is left to be cleaved
Produced by this evenings
                             worrisome leave
Emptiness bellows on in,
                       heartless pain
Our lives are darkly lit,
               left to unweave
By the tailored look
                      of the devils mane
