Story of existence
Need to share
Make memorable
Pages upon pages of survival
Sounding more like a novel
Instances through circumstances
Proud and sad moments
Deepest honesty
The impact of pitfalls
Deepest core from the inner soul
A Sun that rises and sets
The Moon shines being its specialty
The effects of it all
A sight to see and feel
A wish upon
A world that separates
A wonder of hate and no appreciate
Words only clarify
Sentences only escort
The heart full of admiration
Situations draw attention
One memoir
Many thoughts
Taking a moment at a time.

Conversation With My Ex

what I mean to say is this…
well, that’s not exactly what I mean to
say but I’m sure you know
what I mean
don’t you?
well don’t you?

let me put it to you this way…
no, that’s not right
it’s more like…

let me clarify
(although we both know that
clarification is not making
oneself clear, but putting
oneself in the clear}
is that clear?

do you understand
where I’m coming from?
am I making any sense?

let me try one more time
to explain….
or maybe I should put it
this way….

it’s so nice that we can
communicate
so easily

Clarifying my thoughts

Let me clarify my thoughts:
We love each other, yet I am completely confused.
I had locked my heart away and sealed off my desires.
My bank account keeps growing,
while a sense of peace surrounds me.
I’ve been smiling every day, never feeling the need to cry out to God for
protection because I knew He had been guiding me all along.
Then, suddenly, something shifted.
I started craving youthful and vibrant energy.
What is wrong with me?
There is a word for a woman like me,
I am a cougar, hiding behind the AI filters,
What is wrong with me?
I would love to deeply kiss the Dark Horse
Without feeling guilty,
Memories linger; they can stir emotions,
And rekindling a youthful spirit shouldn’t frighten me.
However, somehow it does,
. Society often overlooks my value.
I embrace my identity,
I am proud of my heritage.
My free spirit is my treasure.

Is it better to speak or to die?

“Is it better to speak or to die?”

What does speaking bring you,
No matter how hard you try to reply?
Behavior you attempt to justify,
Truth you struggle to clarify—
You only meet an apathetic look.
To them, your life’s a fairytale in a book.

Actions speak louder than words, they say,
But when the action is dying,
It’s no longer seen as trying.
Every elaboration you’re supplying
Leaves your restless mind frying,
Yet in their eyes, you’re just lazy,
And the point remains hazy.

With the clouded board,
How can the dart be thrown?
Thus, the stance stays the same,
No matter the shame you’ve known.
Speaking drops you to the ground,
And your corpse lingers all around.
Does it take two burnt minds to relate
Just to get a single point straight?

Painful times can clarify pertinent things
With a painful time, lessons it brings
It's the way life goes....
through all that it throws

Can you still see the bright sun shine?
During heaviness when things aren't fine?
One step leads to the next sight,
that you're willing to see during day or night

No, dont hide, don't close your eyes
Open them wide, to the light across the skies
Maybe feelings are defied...
But eventually, the truth cannot be denied

Premium Member WALK WITH ME

Oh, come now - since life is full of care
and the woodland path is wanting wear;
and the trees of spring must needs be seen
as winter’s grey is sprayed with green.

Van dyke said: ‘walk a mile with me’,
but let us go further and then we’ll see
how the foot is connected to the jaw and tongue
and the track can move the lip and lung.

We’ll tread pleasantries and leave them behind.
As amble turns ramble, we’ll clear out our mind
of piffle and fluff - chit-chat and chatter -
and at last get to speaking of the things that matter.

Gasping with effort, we’ll listen to the other;
clarify our reasons and, when home, discover -
though the debate and the way were difficult and rough -
we’ll agree we have not yet walked quite enough.

Send a message

send a message…….
send a message saying…make it make sense.
send a message to comprehend.
send a message apprehend.
then again….
the message is….what was it …..send it again.
clarify what was meant.
explanations….? intent?!
…..message sent

What Your Eyes Miss

I want to let you in on a secret.
It's a very
close,
sensitive
secret,
so you can't tell anyone.

I am not the person in my reflection.

I should clarify.

The image you see before you may have
bounced off my skin and
wandered through the dark tunnels of your pupils,
but it only presents my thinnest layer.

You catch my strands of cedar hair,
and though you may
press it,
twist it,
or tie it in a knot,
it is only a muddy veil for my inner thoughts
which boil deep within.

And though you hear my singing voice sweet
yet quiet as a canary in her glass cage,
you could never know the artillery of
my raging heart that goes:
BOOM
BOOM
BAH-BOOM
just under my chest. Or
the crimson jets which race
past titanium bones.

No, although you greet my eye
with each set and rise,
admiring what you know to be
bright mocha moons,
You could never truly imagine what
lies behind the dark side
of my hickory eyes.

I'm not you

As Twilight gleams by, from the arrival of dusk,
Both were engaged, in conversation being brusque.
were They wholly sat, beneath the darkness subdued_
Overwhelmed with replies, "I'm not you."

Staggered were thoughts, embedding the head
Where altruism gets mould into such schadenfreude'
While benevolence vanquishes and affinity becomes due,
For the reasons they clarify, "I'm not you."

The name they chant or the bible they preach;
Profound logic they share, comprehended to each.
Entirely identical, though the question stands by..
"I'm not you" and "you're not I"

I resent having to be patient when
that’s not a virtue I much value
Why can’t I enjoy being in love
oh yeah, because you’re not ready to
be that guy I long to please.

I resent that in the love department
part of you is a clumsy teenager
and you expect me to teach you
what you’ve never bothered learning.
I resent that you have trouble understanding
when all I do is clarify expectations
and I leave the rest to you.

I’m buying into the bull and promises
that you do want this to work ~
Bull because from this angle I see
a hot air balloon that is having
a hard time getting off the ground.

being easygoing has its advantages
but a framing of how life is processed
helps establish rules of conduct
when relationships are in the making

well expressed thoughts

Premium Member The Heart of Poetry

I think at times
I am unfair with poetry,
wanting perfection
I am not -- wanting poetry
to clarify, purify...as though
poetry were independent
from its source

alas, poetry is only worthy
as its loss.

Reading Material

Another chapter in my life
over much too soon
when there's so much more to live
it's just not opportune
but is Anonymous the author
or would it be myself possibly
writing this tale so true
could it be an autobiography
and yet I won't be put on hold
my one and only guarantee
tho' late won't be overdue
when it's check out time for me
for on turning a page today
I came to realise and to clarify
I'm living a story in a book on loan
from the Great Library in the Sky
