Heidi Sands Poet Rhyme

Open wide eyes

Painful times can clarify pertinent things
With a painful time, lessons it brings
It's the way life goes....
through all that it throws

Can you still see the bright sun shine?
During heaviness when things aren't fine?
One step leads to the next sight,
that you're willing to see during day or night

No, dont hide, don't close your eyes
Open them wide, to the light across the skies
Maybe feelings are defied...
But eventually, the truth cannot be denied
