They with masks and scalpels
rewatch
the seconds I was given without consent.
My breath hitches
as warnings stillborn in my throat.
At this moment,
I am but
a body
opened
for overdue answers no one asked for.
A poet’s gift lies in the voice of Truth.
No—
A poet's gift is to lie,
constantly,
in lavender-gray syllables
threaded through with near-Truth—
The answer to unvoiced questions,
clipped out with tweezers,
a scorched coil—
my vocal cord.
I, a third-party haze—
rewatch
the moments I lived through like
faint breaths
fogging an oxygen mask.
My lies will be forgiven,
when they split open my sternum,
and find Truth still beating—
They’ll know,
late Truth cuts deeper than scalpel.

While the sun was slipping away
You left me
With a gifted moment
A moment that lessened fears
Yet hastened tears
A moment that spoke to me
Yet set you free
A moment that caressed my heart
Yet put apart
A moment that fostered giving
Yet nurtured living
A moment that clarified a decision
Yet cleared my vision
While the sun was slipping away
You left me
With a gifted moment

When will she come to me
To take me to that place
Where I suppose, we shall be free
Like spirits in the space
The fortuneteller gave reply
Ambiguous and wise
But no advice on what to try
Should I just close my eyes
Engage myself into the realm
Of pure imagination
And it’ll make me overwhelmed
With the enforced elation
There, on the boat of dreaming fools
Under the stormy sky
I’ll be, submissive to the rules
That can’t be clarified
Death, Five of Cups, and Hanged Man
These were the cards I drew
A penny for old Charon
For taking me to you
It’s hard to tell, and hard to take
The simple fact of death
Denies a dream I have to make
No life without breath
Seems possible, we need a flesh
For birth, rebirth and all
You name it, and I press refresh
To hear my fortune’s call.

Benji practices genocide
Brave new Isreal has sick laws
Is Isreal thinking rectified .
Benji thinks he is glorified
Death is a singletree- the kill nods
Benji practices genocide .
Harris loves Isreal -verified
Harris on housing I applause
Is Isreal thinking rectified.
Trump supports Benji -clarified
He think he does that for a cause
Benji practices genocide .
Stop electric car laws-petrified !
Stop outsourcing I give applause.
Is Isreal thinking rectified?
Many more not identified,
They think that their laws have no flaws,
These leaders rulings I deride ,
If they change-I am satisfied .

Our differences are like the pieces of a puzzle called life.
~~~
We’re like black and white, forever disparate.
While I look to the right, you search the left side.
Though we’re so opposite, I see your merit.
When I’ve been confused, you’ve often clarified.
What seems like love and hate, could be crazy fate.
You’re outspoken while I’m totally tongue-tied.
At times, we’re night and day, which can complicate.
Still, our hearts are linked by our feelings like love.
Our dreams bring so much wonder to captivate.
Our bond was surely started by God above.
Only He knew what this union would teach us.
Though unalike, our two hearts fit like a glove.
Some think this relationship is treasonous.
I still believe love is meant to make a fuss.
I wrote this poem during the pandemic as I questioned what the future held.
Since the pandemic crisis has passed, we keep hearing about a “new normal.” Normal is over, or did normal ever exist?
Will normal ever be the same?
It’s never been before.
Can this new lifestyle be the one?
Will less become the more?
Can changes move you from your place,
when altered is your path?
Will this new trail disrupt your life?
What is the aftermath?
I can’t predict the world’s new course,
as I survey my fears.
I hope my vision’s clarified,
while trudging new frontiers.
I can’t go back, ‘cause back’s not there.
It’s like a shattered glass.
The breach I see ahead of me,
could be a deep crevasse.
I pray to God He guides my way,
and soothes my harried soul.
I know that I can trust in Him,
to keep my being whole.
I may have always loved you
And with you been in tune
I didn't always know you
But once I did it soon
Became fairly apparent
That something else was there
Several commonalities
Were breathing the same air
We blended well together
The more we did consort
Then symbiosis clarified,
You lead and I support
And that is how I like it
Just give me things to do
And together we'll accomplish
All that you want to
first
she cleans our faces
of all our small passages
then she closes our shameless gazes
because our eyes are always curious
inquisitive bags
even when they wrap in love
actually
they enter and infiltrate
greedy to take everything
our looks are never decent
she cleaned our thin tight lips
stitched with insinuations of joyful utterances
cleans our belly of hunger between our teeth
and the crying
this last tower of restless selfishness
through which our desire flows
lips touched
are extinguished improved abandoned
even our rosy vulgarity rises
as the steam rises in the morning
she carries the sunrise in her arms
to the center of imagination
and dreams of sugar worlds
the body is washed clean of sweat
of any trace of work
shaken
the body remains perfectly fine
and no one lies to anyone anymore
we are settled in fixed forms
in everything we didn't know about us
and we were not interested
we are clean
bright as the stones washed by the waters
everything is perfectly clarified
death is ordered
Wide Awake
insomnia strikes
another night toss and turn
I see dawn rising
Perfection
cold frosty sunrise
pure scintillating beauty
all is clarified
Winter
crystal cold winter
bright luminescent sunlight
scattering of snow
Aura
street light with aura
dire witching hour came and went
sleeping unaware
“I love you.” he said, his voice raspy and emotional.
“You..?” I asked softly, and he nodded yes, slowly.
I kind of moved him away a bit - with a soft stiff-arm - to see him better in the limited light. He looked serious and a little flushed, as if feverish. I examined his face, looking for insincerity or jest but saw none. Perhaps this “love” could use some examination.
“Would you convert to Judaism for me?” I asked
He looked surprised and a little confused. “Are you Jewish?” He asked, hesitantly.
“No.” I answered. He still looked confused.”I’d be proud to be Jewish,” I clarified. “or to have a Jewish boyfriend.”
“Then.. why would I need to convert?” He asked, squinting with concentration.
“We were examining your sumptuous commitment to love.” I said, “forgetaboutit.”
My first appointment for P.T.
(To help my torn-meniscus knee)
Had me arriving at the same
Time as another with my name.
She entered with a loud complaint –
The elevator was too quaint
And so she’d walked a flight of stairs,
But locked doors caught her unawares.
Annoyed at forms for filling out,
“I need a pen!” she then did shout.
I quietly observed the scene,
Then stood when someone called, “Ilene!”
“But I’m Ilene!” she did insist.
She glared at me, a little pissed.
The clerk, though, took it all in stride.
“You’re both Ilenes,” she clarified.
Our name’s not often spelled with “I.”
I’m sure, like me, she wondered why
Coincidence or maybe fate
Brought us together on this date.
The land suffers too much greening;
luxuriance froths to fever and glut,
birds cannot consume all the insects,
nor serpents eat the thronging flocks.
The soil hogs on the swill of decay,
drey and burrow are ovens
for a prowling pestilence.
There is no softness. The sun
bites the bloated and rancid,
a balance is tipped off kilter,
the climate repaints its face
more garish each day.
A little poverty is needed, a tax
on the riotous and abundant,
the sickly succulence of ripe sap
be drained and clarified.
We live now in the eyes of strangers,
hunters are maddened by the gnawing
of long fevered bones.
THE KILLER
Standing alone on peak of the hill
I sighed to recollect that happenstance.
An unusual event sent me to imaginary world.
Just same day at dusty dusk on Sundown.
Suddenly some one pushed me from behind.
and easily penetrated through me.
I stood intact exact at the same place.
He became outrageous in full wrath.
I burst in laughter on merry and mirth.
I clarified ‘You are mistaken My Dear!
Last year you pushed me to meet instant death.
Hi, ghost! Now we are birds of same feather.’
All around me the land suffers too much greening.
The luxuriant froths over into a feverish lush.
Birds cannot consume all the insects.
Snakes cannot eat all the birds.
The ground hogs on the swill of decay.
If this is natures wealth then a little poverty
is needed, a tax on the riotous and too abundant.
Death the reaper must rule his kingdom with more gusto,
both the prey and the predator sparring none,
the sickly succulence of overripe sap
drained and clarified by a cooler sunlight.
I was whelped in more temperate climes,
wolves died of hunger and age not heat stroke.
The rabbit burrows are oven gates
for marauding hordes and an avid pestilence.
The balance is tipped and off kilter,
The climate repaints its face more garishly
each day.
I hear the mandibles of ferocity, their
click and remorseless grind,
and there is no softness in the nibbling jaws
of those who rampage silently,
those, who strip the bloated and obese
to the dark and rancid bone.
I secretly journey now under dawn stars,
trace my way over cooling paths
before another fevered heat
force feeds the land.
When you are at a breaking point
It is when you acquire the source of your strength
That you never knew existed
When you are humiliated to the core
It is when you assess your well being
That you have taken for granted
Makes you question your purpose
Expand your horizons
Do not limit your theory
Cultivate your thinking
Do not be expose to gossip
Grow your growth
Do not be in stagnation
The purpose is clarified
When you have made it
It is when you realise what type of character you possess
That distinguish the kind of person you are
When you relinquish all the negativity
It is when you can absorb the positivity
That would lead you to success
Makes you relieved, doesn't it
