For you were a shrub among the poplars,
Evergreen and watery seeds your watchword
Scribbling knowledge in spilt-milk saga
Set pace for the observing world which in
Foetus I did follow, after the mighty fall
That very spot at the Nsukka Front should know
No deletion; let it grow shrubs for Okigbo’s wreaths,
And, poplars, in one single trunk, be his monument of a
Shrub among the Poplars.
And let the HEAVENSGATE open for him.
Thirty years ago today, millions of people were surprised.
Christopher Reeve fell off a horse and he was paralyzed.
Reeve's accident occurred on May the 27th of 1995.
The accident didn't kill him, he was able to survive.
He survived for nine years and he spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
Life was once great for Christopher but his life became so unfair.
When he had his accident, he was paralyzed from the neck down.
When he died, I felt sad because he would no longer be around.
Even though Reeve got hurt, he didn't give up, he went on with his life.
We had to say goodbye to him and we had to say goodbye to his wife.
People were devastated when his life came to an end.
Christopher wasn't just an actor, he was also a friend.
[Dedicated to Christopher Reeve (1952-2004) who died on October 10, 2004]

In the Footsteps of Christopher
The Bearer of Christ
As man of form and formless spirit
literally, figuratively, coarsely, subtly,
bringing us to where we are today
on this farther shore
blessed with the abundance of Eternal Life.
But how many of us even notice?
How many take the time
to see the light, feel the breeze
and trace the path
that led us to here and now?
I’d say not enough.
And so unconscious, unaware
we live out the modern world’s dream
as a nightmare struggle
of good against evil, love against fear
forgetting in the moment we are in fact
One in all, always, already here.

Tip your hat to Plummer, his well-deserved claim to fame,
Gracing us with class acts in more than seven decades.
"Captain", I insist, among your "clean, bright" accolades
The Sound of Music's Edelweiss echoes with your name.

He starred in an episode of "18 Wheels Of Justice".
He died ten years ago today and his name was Chris.
He starred in a movie that is titled "Stunts Unlimited".
His fans were sad when they learned that he was dead.
When we lost him at the age of fifty-seven, we lost him too soon.
He starred in "The Dukes Of Hazzard" and "The Dukes" cartoon.
He was temporarily hired when the producers had to replace Luke.
I think that he did an admirable job when he starred as Vance Duke.
He starred in "Official Denial", "Raven" and "East Meets West".
He also starred in two episodes of "Xena: Warrior Princess".
He starred in "Liar Liar" and it's sad to know that he's gone for good.
He and Coy fought the system like a two modern day Robin Hood.

Tears are good!!
Tears are good, really they are, indeed.
Tears are better than smiles since they show you your
own, and those who are
pawns of the world, clowns behind the bar.
Tears are a window when your vision is a blur, yet
you can see quite clean,
crimson and reds, whites and blues of the green
world.
Green in jealousy! Yet, Green is the fields that feed
you.
Tears expose the mockery very well.
It tells you, flint hearts walk wild.
It tells you people bother you, not that they love you,
but how they hate you.
A Hiatus From The Loaded Past

Tears are good, for they hold up a mirror to your eyes,
in which there is a balm.
How men love to hate. How they love to despise. The
matadors of today are the
Damnatio ad bestias of yesterday,
for violence runs deep in the veins of man.
Tears are good for they hold up a mirror.
They show you the truth. They show you the sly,
They show you who cannot be your own.
Tears bring you a heart far lighter, after you mourn.

Magic was his fray

Christopher Columbus’s claims were outlandish.
Queen Isabella was truly upstandish.
The court said he would fall off the edge.
So they bombarded him with mean sledge.
The queen still gave three ships to trycandish.
