Childishness Poems | Examples

Premium Member Rain, Rain Go Away?

Rain, rain where are you going?
When I said to go away,
My childishness was showing.
Will you stay another day?

It's a silly childhood rhyme
Which does bely my heart.
To so implore you was a crime.
I truly love you - don't depart.

Pound me with thunderous lighting.
Hold me in your raging storm.
Caress me, your wet grip tightening,
With your streamline raindrop form.

Forget those unkind words I said.
I'll love you more than my own blood,
Until each drop has all been bled,
Until I drown beneath your flood.

Outgrowing Self-Loathing

My suit of self-loathing no longer fits
The mirror of compassion tells me so
Years of bad-intentions held back growth
After a time, the length of my sleeves bind
I didn’t realize I’ve become over-sized

These angry pants are fit for a small child
How silly I look with cuffs choking wrists
How I’ve loved my painfully straight jacket
Like it or not, the right suit still waits
No one other than I can disrobe loathing

The best cloak is the one from the womb
It takes skill to unstitch a childish blazer
It takes care to unhem pants outgrown
It takes love to go out in my birthday suit
Let tatters of anxiety fall down the chute

Self-loathing keeps me from disrobing
But, I’m not ready to shed my suit yet
The manly scissors that cuts are too heavy
After self-loathing is bare understanding
Forgive the man unstitching childishness

Let go of short-comings without clinging
Take the macho suit off the rack with care
Try on that fitted suit made for just me
Wear it till love fills the over-sized space
Take it all off till nakedness feels nice

Matthew 24:18
"Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak."

Premium Member Time Flies When You'Re Having Fun

Louder than the silence
Heard beyond my heart’s echo,
Darker than the shadows
Secreted where feelings bled
Through the delicate colors
Hues of hopeful, fresh
Young faces in delicate light,
Smiles alive, aware – so bright

Louder than the stillness,
The hush beneath the calm,
Quieting the heartbreak
Feelings bleeding through
The dark, where an echo glistened,
Calling for the earlier times,
The breathless moments
History, flowing in the thoughts
Reminiscing, feelings – flowing
On rivers of childishness, hesitating
To believe –

Wrinkles, gray hair – tired eyes
Who never twinkle, delight
Gone beyond the starry skies,
Leaving only the whisper of a breathless
Moment when I spoke like life
Would never pass me by, like I would
Be the wonder who would never
See the years taking me beyond the
Hesitant feelings into the future,
Where I would leave my youth behind,
Smiling to the truth who would reveal
Time that had left me with only
A passing memory, old photos, a yesterday…
When I shoulds seen it comin’

Inner Child

Let's not lose our childishness
            of belief... this is ours
            divine liaison...

I Would Not Give It a Name

We had the colorful glasses of teenage on our eyes
And my favorite color was love,
Because of our childishness, we told so many "Lies in April"
We held hands, but our hands were covered in gloves.
The summer was passing away day by day,
We were lost in the memories and obsessions,
Or we would always had at least something to say,
Music, art- we would share our creations.
I didn't like summers before,
But this year changed the thing;
I listened to Red, Lover, Folklore,
And got addicted to Paper Rings!
"Cruel Summer" it was, I would say letter by letter,
Because I met "you"
But "It has never been better
Than the summer of 2022.
You came suddenly, you went suddenly
Why would you live "so far away"?
I still don't know your feelings for me;
How can I steal your heart? Dear can you please tell me the way?
Since you are not mine,
Now my life has turned into ruins;
Maybe we'll meet again,
In Another "June".

Premium Member Unfavorable Winds

Fabled America is slipping away,
surely you’ve felt it, like wind knocking
a weather vane in another direction.
At some unnoticed moment
we decided to ignore realities
as a man intent on drowning himself
plows heedlessly through the waves.

To Be King In the Land of Princess

To be king in the land of princess
You must be dauntless.
When invited to tea you must comment on
Her appearance and dress
With open candidness.
Express
How glad and honored you are to be in the
Presence of the princess who will know you
Are playing out her childishness.
Bless
All invisible and tasteless
Food with a heart felt happiness.
You aren't just King you are also her Royal
Advisor so there must not be any awkwardness
Between you both while playing checkers
Or chess.
Use cleverness
When talking about her room being in a mess.
Be gentle when letting her know there will be
New people in her kingdom which will be
Powerless.
Don't let her suppress
Or have any anxiousness
Your invitations to tea or luncheons will be
Endless.
You will be helping your princess
To deal with real life issues instead of leaving
Her rudderless.
Thus guaranteeing hers and your success.

In Predicament and Vehement

Should not be too difficult
to guess who this is.

In Predicament and Vehement

Always knew when he had been in a predicament,
As usual would become upset and also vehement;
Adult here hope,
Who knows rope;
Only detected childishness in his each comment.

Is there an adult in the room?

Let Us Be the Things of the Night

I only want to exist when the sun goes down
Let us be the things of the night
When the dull sunshine dies and coughs
And the moon comes out to fight

I don’t want to be shoved into a mahogany frame
Nor painted with cakes and faces
Let us run wild in water color rivers
And run as the horizon chases

Please don’t let me become the girl
Who sleeps and sits and stands
Wake me when the stars are high
And the shadows stain our hands

Let’s do something strange
In the twilight hallowed mirror
That others may not understand
When the point is always clear

The point is to breath in the night
The point is always love
Human beings bore me so
Let us instead be stars above

The others they cry, and blinded they cough
Over money, work and sex
I beg we set that world aflame
And swim in childishness

When the sun comes up so do their masks
Then we will sleep through all their light
I only want to exist when the sun goes down
Let us be the things of the night

A Fiery Dragon

Grandma! Your talking to a fiery dragon.
Yes, one of my many talents I didn't know I
Possessed. I will not be impolite. It's standing
There in all its fiery splendor talking from the
Other side of the fence illuminating the
Darkness.
I'm honored to finally have met, seen, and
Talked to an incredible phenomenon.
Would you say your bigger than a mastodon?
I must be under a spell. Where is the sorceress?
Grandma! Your talking to a fiery dragon.
When you use your imagination John
Anything is possible and it is bottomless.
I'm honored to finally have met, seen, and
Talked to an incredible phenomenon.
Do you eat tarragon?
We are making progress.
Grandma! Your talking to a fiery dragon.
I wave my hand and said Soon all this will be
Gone
Back to lifelessness.
I'm honored to finally have met, seen, and
Talked to an incredible phenomenon.
A bonfire gave me the key to once upon.
My grandson is still talking about my
Childishness.
My grandma talked to a fiery dragon.
She was honored to have met, seen, and
Talked to such an incredible phenomenon.

Sycophantic Politician

Pot belly gorillas sleeping on duty,
Nation at war,

Negligence and childishness in old men bone,

Enemies of the state with wings of vultures

Held the state of affairs preaching peace
Of ego.

Their faces shine like the sun but their heart
Of dead men bones

Honor their pot belly dishonor to their soul,

Oh! what a nation full of chaos of vultures,

Spreading virus of tribalism and religion difference

Killing the masses smiling with them,

Sycophantic politicians in epic pyramid

Premium Member Dreams Anew

A breath of awe, sublime radiant blue,
blessings of hands, a golden heirloom ring.
Young lovers readying for dreams anew
on blooming love, loose streams, and songs of spring.

Angels greet youth bashful feet, a spark of
hunger and thirst for a future journey.
Amber sunset rise to lovers in love,
together taking time with no worries.

They watch hand in hand a peach horizon
stream through flickering limbs and window shades.
Embrace, kiss, song, a dance to its rising
time slowly says good-bye, but never fades.

Seems like it was yesterday's childishness,
a narrative passage of timelessness.

Diamonds of Tenderness

I was barricaded by destruction and liberated by loss….

.....there you were…

One stare at you has broken through my wretchedness and distress,
one touch from you redirected my fierceness and turned off my loneliness.

I used to wake up in gloom and because of you I sleep in contentedness,
your fire killed all my fumes and I keep walking inside your completeness.

After all my dreaded seasons I buried my demons in your kindliness,
for all the wrong reasons I enjoyed my grievance within my consciousness.

My longing for your hunger resides in between your purity of liveliness,
I used to have an appetite with lies and fearing routines towards my childishness.

Now I am reborn because you crave my desire within your attentiveness,
I have sworn my fidelity turning my lonely sapphires into diamonds of tenderness.

I Love You

I love your grumpiness
I love your mood swings
I love your stubbornness
I love your voice when you sing
I love the way your silence is killing me
I love the way your rants are giving me chills
I love how you scolded me when you're mad
I love how your face looks like when you're pissed
I love it when you're keeping up with my childishness
I love it when you're clenching your fist out of anger
I love it when you told me about your likes
I love it when you told me about your dislikes
I love it when you told me about your story
I love how you kissed me
I love how you hugged me
I love how you carried me
I love how you caressed me
I love it when you ignore me
I love how it hurts
I love it that I miss you
I love it that I love you
I love you.

Love At Its Peak

Our story is as timeless as everyone dreams
A near decade now it seems.
In thy absence, I may battle a kingdom of agony
Thou still the hidden joy in my every written poetry,

Inconceivable, everyone may have said,
Here our own frailties had it all perfected.
Few of our kin stay,
As most of them judge and then stray.

But you’re still here holding my hand.
Not just a lover but my friend until the very end.
You professed how I have changed you,
But isn’t the childishness inside me you outgrew?

Pour this life with an empire of bliss and fondness
With an entire submission of faith in its faultlessness,
Thy arms is my safe haven,
Will you say those words once again?

A promise worth to keep,
A never ending love at its peak,
I see you standing there and now I knew,
This life will lose its worth without you.
