I Would Not Give It a Name

We had the colorful glasses of teenage on our eyes
And my favorite color was love,
Because of our childishness, we told so many "Lies in April"
We held hands, but our hands were covered in gloves.
The summer was passing away day by day,
We were lost in the memories and obsessions,
Or we would always had at least something to say,
Music, art- we would share our creations.
I didn't like summers before,
But this year changed the thing;
I listened to Red, Lover, Folklore,
And got addicted to Paper Rings!
"Cruel Summer" it was, I would say letter by letter,
Because I met "you"
But "It has never been better
Than the summer of 2022.
You came suddenly, you went suddenly
Why would you live "so far away"?
I still don't know your feelings for me;
How can I steal your heart? Dear can you please tell me the way?
Since you are not mine,
Now my life has turned into ruins;
Maybe we'll meet again,
In Another "June".

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
