Premium Member Moments Captured Walt Marie

Do not use that black sharpie on us
too fast.

It’s advisable to commemorate history,
true love.

Moments captured with a camera
can fade.

There’s such clarity in consideration,
please pause.

Let our panoramic view flood your eyes,
look back.

Premium Member Captured thoughts

Hand in hand we walk
strolling the quiet beach
capturing our thoughts

Premium Member It’s You That Have Captured Me

I can see your soul through those beautiful eyes.
There’s kindness, you’re gentle, and you kindle my internal fire.
I embrace you lightly, feeling close, deep inside
And you understand why I love you, you are what I desire.

My mind races back to the second our eyes first met,
About you, my love, you are my only love, my first love.
Then as we kiss I feel a charge through my heart
And it’s you that have captured me.

Premium Member Captured Tableau

The cage locked so tight
knows not day from night.
The girl inside it
with terror must sit.
Just she and each wall
hear feared footsteps fall.

Premium Member Captured Sunshine

Blooms
yellow
and golden
with streaks of red
savor the warmth spell.
Scents like peaches
trail afar
bliss nears
buds.

Captured Internally

I’m a bird in a cage, but the cage is my head,
On a walk in the park, but I’m running instead,
The bookshelf is haunted, my reflection is too,
Squeaks and whimpers out in the blue

Premium Member CAPTURED CAPSURINGS-

Forgotten memories;
Abated distant dreams;
How do you know?
You’re a gathering soul;

Quiet mouths spoken whispers;
Enraged emotions atop the raptures;
Where do you go for peace?
When war is all that’s released

Remembering feelings;
Caught up in ourselves;
Mind keeps racing and reeling;
We're all caught up out of breath;

Remember
Awaken
Knowledge
Spirits core

Forgotten memories;
Abated distant dreams;
How do you know?
You’re a gathering soul;

Siren Song

I thought I heard
an island siren croon
a sophisticated tune
with words in song
about the moon in June
as a big bright
and bold balloon
enchanting music
captured me
shipwrecked
my heart is all at sea
or am I wrong
imagining things
it's only the waves
and the wind that sings

terrified brown eyes

Premium Member Captured Moment

On a warm summer evening
as stillness settles on the turquoise lake
a solitary golden tree stands
expanding it's arms outward
 the trees on the shoreline remain
still coated and covered in green
not wanting to change with the season
the golden leaves visual
on the smooth surface of the lake
reflecting like a half baked sun
a round glowing golden figure
nature's beauty captured
is a photographers dream.

Premium Member He Captured Childhood

He captured childhood, never let it go,
Sidestepped the potholes of “growing up”
Never forgot that ice cream is better when shared
Popsicles meant to be broken in two
Throwing stones in the pond an avocation
Skipping them….an art

He still slurps his soup as taste has consequences
Milk moustaches, especially chocolate, an art form
He still wipes his hands on his pants
Will pet a wet dog, tell “that” joke again
Wear that favorite frayed flannel
Flirt with the cashier at the super market

He will make fun of everything and everyone
And sometimes keep it to himself
More often though he leaves them shaking their heads
Wondering…”when will he ever grow up”
He knows, that they know, the answer
Probably never…if we’re lucky

Moon on the blue Nile.
Dual happenstance.
No pretense or guile.
Captured by romance.
Upon a timeless Isle.
Within a lover's trance.

Premium Member To the Town that Captured My Heart

I came to reside in a charming town,
Where golden shores and azure horizons abound.

A tropical heaven of palms that sway,
Gracing the beaches in a fascinating way.

A surfer’s dream, a meditator’s bliss
Sights to enchant and many moments to relish.

Active and keen with walkers and joggers
And some showing off their lively canine partners.

Diverse cultures socialize and flourish,
Many bookstores for curious minds to cherish.

Art galleries and markets for farmers,
Wide opportunities for artists and bakers.

Vibrant people with laid-back attitudes,
Where foliage and heritage are in cahoots

Its ambiance and vibes nourish my soul,
For the time being, I'm enjoying it as home.

Captured
Sometimes I close my eyes so I can't see
Sometimes I feel so close
So trapped I can't breathe
Just want to be by myself
Just set me free
Just let me be
Release me
You've got me in this cocoon
that I can't pry open
So I scratch and I punch and I pull at it
till my fingers bleed
You've trapped me in this box
where I can't breathe
So I yell and I fight
till the box fills with my screams
Just let me be
Just set me free
Release me
You've got me in this world
Where my head is spinning
It's spinning so quick
That I can't see
You've got me feeling clostaphobic
Now let me go before I panic
Shut up so I don't go insane
Shut up so I don't go insane
Sometimes I close my eyes so I can't see
Sometimes I feel so close so trapped
I can't breathe
I just want to be by myself
Just set me free
Just let me be
Release me
Why do you torment me for your pleasure
Keep me in this cage so I don't run
Why do you treat me like a prisoner
Do you do this all for fun
Just let me be
Just set me free
Release me
