Caught Up

I didn't intend...
for this to be my end

Early on, I had dreams of college
But instead, I acquired street knowledge

High marks in breaking and entering
With masterful skills in cunning and scheming

Caught up!

I didn't intend...
for this to be my end

Creeping and lurking in the darkness
My outer and inner void of lightness

Slipping and dipping around corners
Stability and morality in my feeble state were like foreigners

Caught up!

I didn't intend...
for this to be my end

Now, tricking and cracking for an ephemeral smile
Not living but merely existing like a thrown-away child

Spiraling down into a burning canyon of nihility
Now, shamefully busted and disgusted I am, as I should be

Premium MemberGrisly Grizzly Bear

The Brown Grizzly Bear is so called,
not for its grizzled hair, grey-tipped
but because it is truly grisly, horrible!
(Ursus arctos horribilis)
This brown bear is gruesome and deplorable.

The amber Pizzly Bear is so called,
not for its swizzle stick.
but because it is a hybrid bear,
a Polar-Grizzly cross,
(Ursus maritimus × Ursus arctos)

The ash-grey Koala Bear is not a bear at all,
though it's nice and teddy-bear cuddly.
(Phascolarctos cinereus)
But the 'arktos' in its genus name, means 'bear'.
Its been wrongly named from the start,
the 'ashy-grey' pouched bear.
So there you have it!
Three bears, caught breaking and entering,
slagging off the language.

Goldilocks and the Bears

As Goldilocks finished eating the bears porridge,
she took a nice nap upstairs and ended up snoring,
waking up to hear the three bears come home,
she thought she was like Kevin, home alone,

Running quickly down the massive flight of stairs,
like an olympian champion past the three fuming bears,
still running she laughed about her breaking and entering,
till Smokey the bear pulled her over and started questioning,

Goldilocks started to sweat and to stammer,
Smokey the bear coming down with a hammer,
locking her up for stealing food and other charges,
Goldi started picking locks while penned up in the slammer,

Escaping and running through the woods,
she was on the lam, like a fugitive,
till she ran into the the Papa Bears face,
tired of eating porridge, Goldi was gone witout a trace.

The Night Santa Almost Got Busted

The night santa almost got busted.
I often wondered about that night in 1954.
When santa almost got busted.
The tale goes that santa was wanted for 250 million breaking and entering charges.
But they could not catch him in the act.
The town was slight that Christmas eve.
When the police were eating their nightly doughnuts.
Then out on the streets they did see ..
Santa was drag racing a ford pickup.
When all of a sudden here comes supper trooper in his hopped up chevy.
He caught the ford and santa too.
He was going to lock him up.When out of his bag
Came the biggest pizza pie you ever seen.
But as santa drove out of sight. You could hear him say Merry Christmas and please call my lawyer.

Premium MemberGuilty of Innocence

Guilty of Innocence

Love – has always been guilty – as charged!
No jury necessary to reach this verdict.

Guilty!
Of breaking and entering in the night,
bypassing the security system,
stealing its way into a locked heart.

Guilty!
Of softening the edges of resistance,
melting the iciness of doubt,
soothing the confusion of feelings.

Guilty!
Of opening the drapes of loneliness
allowing a warm glow to permeate –
from inside out – the entire being.

Guilty!
Of turning the face into a silly grin,
glazing over the eyes in wonderment,
raising skipping feet off the ground.

Guilty!!
Of infection with infatuation’s gaze
addiction to its trembling touch
deafness - to all but its scented “whispers”.

Yes – Love is Guilty!!
Of kidnapping the lovers,
of wrapping them in the essence of its innocence.

Twis the Night Santa Got Busted

Twis the night before Christmas and all through the house not a person was up not even a dog.
The sox's were hung on the door with tape just waiting for Old st.Nick.
Mom in her night gown and me in my long johns.
Settle in for a night of nics.
When all of a sudden we heard what was police cars.
As we watched on the tv with surprise.
The reporter said that Santa got busted for breaking and entering.
As the police cars drove out of sight.
We heard him say, Merry Christmas to all and call my lawyer.

Outa State Plates

Outa State Plates

Billy Bob and Jimbo’s jaws dropped
Along with Mrs. Miller’s porcelain plates
Caught in the act
Two fools perpetrating a dish stealing crime spree
Unsavory, onerous in nature, by the perpetrators

Smashed to bits were dishes and windows
Scattered about the basement floor
The old widow’s china lay destroyed

Add Breaking and entering to the charges
A total disregard for the keeping of the peace
Not to mention the deprivation of sleep

The Sheriff cornered them there in their get away
Escaping with a salvaged plate or two

“What are you boys up to?”….ventured the law
Stunned, short winded, and caught, they replied;
“We like the pretty designs on these things officer sir.’
          “They have fancy writing too.”
“We were just borrowing them for a while….thank you.”

The old lady enlightened the gathering
          “They’re priceless antiques from Germany!”

The Sheriff took Billy Bob and Jimbo away
Charged them with stealing outa state plates

Named Crisis

CRISIS stands in front of MINDS door knocking.
Breaking and entering because SOLUTION isn’t answering.
Needing a confrontation- IT escalates itself until UNBEARABLE appears.
Metamorphosing into DISRUPTIVE on all unfazed channels.
Picking a fight with LIVELIHOOD and COMFORTABLE.
Training SICKNESS in how to tease HEALTH on a consistent basis.
Making EMOTIONS confused and unstable.
Causing DISORDER to jump in and dictate.
Overwhelming MARRIAGE, so that TEMPTATION can walk down the isle
with DIVORCE on it’s arm.
Giving PREGNANCY time to stealth its way onto the scene.
Notifying COMPLICATION for its upcoming appointment.
ABORTION becomes the honoree in discussion.
Smiling for being chosen, TAKING A LIFE is upbeat and perky.
SADNESS is fighting back tears of joy, because HAPPINESS is missing.
The meeting is heightened when POVERTY shows up.
Uh oh! WORRY is approaching with cousin STRESS.
DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO, sends a help signal to PRAYER.
ANSWERED comes to the rescue,
Evicting CRISIS from MINDS place.

What Does God Have To Do With It?

Drunken Smutty Teenager.
Burning Suicidal Angst.
Red Breast Ripped Open
In The Cold January Heat.
When Love Is Harsh.
When Love Quakes
Within This Presence.
When It's Burs Are Only Nibbling.
When It's Eating Out Our Ancestors
And Crumbling With The Asphalt.
Breaking And Entering.
Lapping Up The Crimson
Of A Bleeding Heart.

Breaking and Entering - Dream Style

Turn the key
to broken off
in metal scraps and after dots
of woken dreamless lasting thoughts
into the mind and poison locks
when after all it's all not lost
a wink and then conclusion

Hold the door
to let us in
in compromise to comprehend
the touch of more than just a friend
with miles to go before we end
'till subterfuge and counter bend
this liquid thought inclusion.

And all is as it seems tonight-
as you are my delusion.

Hammering

Fruitful and forbidden
Graceful and grotesque
I was born to contradict
I was created to lie
amongst my death
I shall receive
the advantage of absence

I grow tired and weary
of the thoughts resting in you
that pay no matter to the silent alarms
burning past your buglary

Ashes hammer at my door
wanting the entrance
to gain property to my mind
I resist, but relinquish before too long

I blame myself and no one else
for my selfish thinking
Impure thoughts and fantasies
of long dashed dreams

Sick songs slamming my head
Breaking and entering
Past my feeble lightning rod
Made to drive these mad energies
  away from me
Only keeping them closer than desired

Faithful and famed
Silent and shamed
We lie consistent with the fact
That we too will break
without any pride or tact
