Named Crisis

CRISIS stands in front of MINDS door knocking.
Breaking and entering because SOLUTION isn’t answering.
Needing a confrontation- IT escalates itself until UNBEARABLE appears.
Metamorphosing into DISRUPTIVE on all unfazed channels.
Picking a fight with LIVELIHOOD and COMFORTABLE.
Training SICKNESS in how to tease HEALTH on a consistent basis.
Making EMOTIONS confused and unstable.
Causing DISORDER to jump in and dictate.
Overwhelming MARRIAGE, so that TEMPTATION can walk down the isle
with DIVORCE on it’s arm.
Giving PREGNANCY time to stealth its way onto the scene.
Notifying COMPLICATION for its upcoming appointment.
ABORTION becomes the honoree in discussion.
Smiling for being chosen, TAKING A LIFE is upbeat and perky.
SADNESS is fighting back tears of joy, because HAPPINESS is missing.
The meeting is heightened when POVERTY shows up.
Uh oh! WORRY is approaching with cousin STRESS.
DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO, sends a help signal to PRAYER.
ANSWERED comes to the rescue,
Evicting CRISIS from MINDS place.

I think I almost snapped and clapped at the same time! This poem is truly smooth. Not to mention that you can get to the point of how this is life for some people. It also shows how to get out of it. Awesome!

Darnell...this is one of the more unique poems I've read in a while. Personifying the words themselves was a little stroke of genius...good work man...keep it up!!!

I can understand the essence of this poem. Everywhere we look this is a crisis popping up in life; however, they are manageable. Welcome to Poetry Soup and great job! ~Joseph
