Premium Member White Lace and Snowflakes

Nervous as a harried hen, Mom was in a dither
Would wedding guests be kept away by the winter weather?

My cheeks so rosy from the sting of howling, bitter winds
White lace and pearls, car door opened and a young girl stepped within

Fresh mums adorned the altar of “Our Lady by the Sea”
Blue bridesmaid angels led the way; John waited lovingly

Vows exchanged as God smiled down, crystal kisses danced in air
The reception band played merrily, all invited were there

Many guests remarked they’d never seen a happier bride
At midnight John took my ring-adorned hand, we ventured outside

Snow drifts piled ‘round the cars, Great Nor’ Easter just ending
My mate high on love (and champagne), wheels on highway spinning

Pulling into a gas station, trying to get a grip
Still in my bridal gown as the dipping temperatures nipped

The station attendant ran out and smiled, he’d seen us reel
But we were laughing and trading places behind the wheel

My tipsy spouse in a tux, truly a sight to behold
When we reached our new home, I carried HIM o’er the threshold'

Nervous, anxious, praying
my love I express.
Girlfriend blubbers saying
I’ll marry you - yes!

Parents very happy
we are getting wed,
Bridegroom joyful chappie
banns need to be read!

Joyful girlfriend smiling,
seals love with a kiss
Planning wedding styling
no longer a ‘miss’!

Booking summer wedding,
bridesmaid will wear blue,
blissful marriage heading
darling I love you!

Roberta lived on this earth for so many years!
Was a great mother, wife, and grandmother, too.
A long and fulfilling life with joy, completion and no fears.

I was a bridesmaid, when she married my first cousin.
A match truly designed in heaven!
Their life filled with fun, music boating and events by the dozens!

God called Roberta home, this cold wintry day!
She was gravely ill and had to go.
Roberta! So very lucky to see your God, without delay..
Farewell and hugs, your life was one loving awesome show!

To my Cousin Dennis~compassionate husband and so sweet a soul!

                         Condolences and Tribute

As her loving caregiver, Dennis, I know you are shedding tears.
We were all raised to know that we all will be in heaven.
For that we do know, that is the prized, golden, final goal!

                     ~Peace and love, Cousin Dennis~
                                 Love, Cousin P.

Second Wind

I wanna live again
be an ageless punk
Have meaningless sex
before I get too drunk
I wanna dance on the hood
of a 'Luxury car'
Right after a fight
at the neighborhood bar

All my friends in a frenzy
Black spots in the memory
Drinking a handle
thru a bottle of Pepsi

I wanna live again
I wanna rage till dawn
Waking up unsure
of what drug's I was on
I wanna make out
and take shots from the body
of every girl in the place
who think's I'm a 'Hottie'
Let me surf on the crowd
Scream a kareoke jam
something real heavy
so every body can Slam

 Breathing and sweting
at a random wedding
Lip-locked with the 'Bridesmaid"
before the Sun~is~setting

I wanna live again
I wanna risk it all
Exist on the edge
and intentionaly fall
I wanna jump out of plane's
and wrestle with gators
Sleep with the enemy
as a personal favor
I'll take (1)for the team
another shot-for-the-road
What ever it takes
to stop feeling olde

 No more sleep
"I can rest when I'm dead"
From now on it's just SEX
every where but the bed
From the ceiling to the wall
gunna 'Moon~Walk' till I fall
Add a twist to my fixations
and formulate a close call...

Twas the Night Before the Wedding

Twas the night before my cousin's
wedding
He reluctantly gave in to the
bachelor party vetting
A burlesque, tawdry strip club was
the setting
Unbeknownst to him, the bridesmaid
was his appetite whetting
With gratuitous lap dance, began
the ribald feting
In drunken stupor, the enamored
groom his fealty forgetting
Released his inhibitions all of his
clingy garments shedding
Strode platform, in sync with
bridesmaids erotic moves duetting
In tantric rhapsody, she released
pheromones his testosterone
subletting
Enraptured with his riposte jaunts,
her matrimonial bond shredding
The enamored bridesmaid with lust
his bare essentials began petting
His betrothed parts to her
dominatrix will indebting
As the groom climaxed, his phallus
got entangled in her fish netting
Two truant souls now writhing;
spent body parts bloodletting
Dislodging their carnal chains, into
frothy night jetting
To hotel that lodged devoted bride;
their remaining passions bedding
 Lurid, tawdry tryst not regretting;
but o'er bawdy exhibition sweating

Bridesmaid

rose petals scattered
pearly wedding bouquet shucked
blue clad purloiner

Good Morning

I open my window not a worry or care
I refresh my mind with the crisp morn air
Run down the stairs to grab a quick bite
On this special day full of love and light
My love and I are about to be wed
In a few hours time to the Church we'll head
Good morning I beam, my bridesmaid appears
With a glass of champagne bubbling with tears
She takes out my veil and dress of brocade
My silver necklet and ear rings hand made
A ring at the doorbell, I rush out to peer
Good morning, good morning, my driver is here
Bouquets of flowers full of lavender scent
Button holes, presents and so much well meant
No cloud in the sky and the birds full of song
Good morning, good morning I'm singing along
A little church gleams in the snug of the hill
My groom waits inside to say"yes I will"
My whole world is filled with hope and with dreams
I walk up the isle, then he gazes and beams.

For Francine Robert's competition Good Morning

I Want To Be Your Bride

I want to be your bride
No beating around the bush

I want to wear a white cape
And mouse ears
I want to blow raspberries at your loved ones

I want to dance
Alone
On a table to our song
I want to eat the best bits of the cake
And lick the icing
When no ones looking

I want to make a speech
When I’m drunk
And call you by an ex-boyfriends name
I want to sit on your Mothers knee
Thinking it’s you

I want to arrive an hour early at the church
In the rain
And wait outside
I want jesters and clowns in bridesmaid dresses
To follow me around all day

I want a ring
I want five rings
One for each finger
And thumb
Just in case I lose one

I want an orchestra of mice
To make your relatives dance
I want to take you to bed
And sing you nursery rhymes as I undress
I want you my darling
Don’t you want me too?

Premium Member Bombs Away

Though fully dressed for a wedding
I could not resist the buffet,
Fine lipstick wore off for a refill
Of dessert from a laden tray.

Soon, full tummy began to roll
Up, down like the hall’s throbbing light
My rear needed to drop a bomb;
Restraining the urge,’ not tonight!’

As bridesmaid, I pulled the doves’ cage
While they zoomed off, my eyes sensed it
Before rushing to the girl’s loo,
My gown streaked with birds’ deposit!

A Wedding

His lips are so sweet, he's wearing the perfect suit
Everyone say that we're the match that I shouldn't quit
Here I am in my dress with at the end my comfy seat
So tell me honey? Why I should quit.
So many people, my family, your and many strangers
The church steps, stepsisters and stepford smilers
They won't eat the cake until a wake
Am I holding your hand, or is it a benefit to take?
I love insects so why I'm wearing a mosquito net?
Apparently, difference is something to hate
His lips are so sweet, he's wearing the perfect suit
Everyone say that we're the match that I shouldn't quit
Here I am in my dress with at the end my mundane seat
So tell me honey? Why I shouldn't quit.
It's surely the best day of their life which you don't want to ruin
However, my mother is waiting for me in the limousine
The bridesmaid will need my bouquet, you deflowered her
I'm tired to kiss your shadow, I see a brighter outcome outdoor
Sorry my darling priest, it wasn't a test
I promise you that one day you will witness my best
One year later, one year later
Sorry, we didn't kept money for a narrator
His teeth are biting my neck, he's shirtless
My mom asked me if I was reckless and I'm fond of your face
All of this time you were under my bed
I wished I could have noticed sooner your head
Here I am my dear Priest, my dress is quite a mess
So tell me my love, will it be a yes?

Premium Member Pattern Failure

She handed me a pattern for her bridesmaid dress
Intricate it was, and the fabric was sleek
My sewing machine skipped ‘tween each stitch, I confess
Knowing some proportions I’d still have to tweak

Tessa had a figure resembling a milk carton
So I reinforced each thread by hand with great care
Some proportions were large, but she was no Dolly Parton
And there was not an inch of fabric left to spare

Each of the twelve panels that formed the bodice
Were ironed and carefully set into place
(It wasn’t the first gown I’d made; I was no novice)
You should have seen how I stretched the skimpy lace

A French stitch was needed to prevent any fraying
Each night for three weeks I spent hours on this dress
The neckline require extensive crocheting
Finally I brought it to her, hoping to impress

In the weeks that had passed, Tessa had overeaten
And the pattern size twelve should have now been eighteen
The gown was perfectly stitched, but her diet did sweeten
A mirror wouldn’t suffice; she needed a wide screen

I charged not a penny for the work I had done
While other bridesmaids paid four-hundred or more
As Tessa squeezed into the dress, seams came undone
In the rear she resembled a huge wild boar

Since there was no more fabric available
Little could be done to ease Tessa’s anger
Her accusations of incompetence were highly debatable
Her gown simply looked far better on a hanger

*True story. Made many gowns and costumes for friends at no cost, but this was the last. LOL

Wedding Reception

Wedding Reception

We’ll settle by the bar and watch
the women dance, then split a likely
pair, when we think we stand a chance.
I’ve one eye on the bridesmaid, with
the skirt that’s riding high – showing
        off the daisies, tattooed upon
        her thigh.

                      The groom is still hung-over;
can’t find the pregnant bride. She dodged
        into the box-room – best-man by
        her side.

                     Mothers-in-law are screaming,
        ‘war,’ handbags all-aflail. Uncle
Jack is on his back. George is green
        and frail.

                     So we’ll linger here and
guzzle beer, till the barman calls
the time. Then make a play for a
pair who sway – join the pantomime...

...Hope you like the big one, with the
bird’s nest in her hair. Because I’m
heading for the bridesmaid, with the
skirt that’s riding high, showing off
        the daisies...

Stay Alive

"Stay alive for my sake!"
I need you to try
and understand together,
why plates are crashing.
And hair is being pulled
out in clumps.

"Stay alive for my sake!"
From Mum and Dad
I have learned to fight.
I need to fight with you.
Because you are smaller
than our two big brothers.

"Stay alive for my sake!"
We are at boarding school now.
I love you, but my jealously
makes me want to hurt you.
so, when there are screams
on your first night....
I pretend that's normal.

"Stay alive for my sake!"
I realise at last
how much you love me.
And I want to love you back.
Also, I am getting married now,
and need a beautiful bridesmaid.

"Stay alive for my sake!"
We need each other
more than ever,
to see us through
this scary place
called marriage.

"Stay alive for my sake!"
I know what you
have lived through.
More than the children
you suffered so much for.

"Stay alive for my sake!"
I love you! I love you!!
I am your mother.
I am your sister.
I am your best friend.
I am your touchstone.
I see the light
that shines in you
while others are blind.

Peppie was feeling cool

Watching the sky blue

Realizing he was on top

Above good ole rival Klopp

When Chelsea arrived

To the beehive

With intention

For a conversation about the detention

That should be mentioned

Getting attention

In the Daily Mail

Telling the story how Chelsea was nailed

“Our new fourth member

Pulled something this first weekend in December

Put a whammy

Using the Western Hammy

Trapping me in third

Finding out nothing is insured,”

Laughing Peppie continued enjoying feeding on the honey

Thinking what happened ‘was ever so funny’

“You wore yellow

A Mellow

Merchandising seller,”

Peppie replied

Knowing Chelsea tried

“Well, you were in white

For your bee buzzing fight

That was a bore and never tight!”

In another place

Klopp was building his case

Returning from battle

Protecting his cattle

Wolves on the attack

Working like a pack

Nil Nil to the end

Following a goal scripted by an athletic pen

Klopp was able to defend

Success!!

In the test

Not feeling alone

Having a civil tone

Approaching the two

Noting no one wearing blue

Pondering something was starting to brew

“First and third

Haven’t you heard,”

Peppie spoke the word

“I did some checking

No longer first instead second”

Klopp said

Impersonating a bridesmaid wanting to wed

But due to debt

Had to wear red

Chelsea gave a look

Like after reading a good chapter in a book

“You are lucky to be in front of me

You should be in spot number three,”

She did shrug

Still needing a hug

“About this West Ham

Who created the one-point jam?”

They all started to wonder

About the lunchtime blunder

“Are these Hammers for real?

Or just Londoners asking deal or no deal?”

As the trio checked their list twice

Being border protective and nice

“Should we let them in?

To our elite circle of win?”

Chelsea started the rebuttal

Noting they had this entertaining bubble

Creating trouble

On the table

Winding around the English Premiere fable

Where only one takes it all

Declaring the champion playing futbol
