Premium Member Space Rock

The meteor was coming near
But little Robbie had no fear
His parents knew earth was DOA
But he tried to argue, to save the day.

He said, “Dear Space Rock, don’t I have rights
My life and liberty are in your sights
I like puppies and cats, and elephants too
You’re coming for me, but what did I do?”

Robbie’s Dad said "son, a rock can’t feel
There’s no moral part to which you can appeal
It doesn’t matter how nice you are
We’re at the mercy of a shooting star."

The meteor missed, the earth was fine
But still it was the end of the line
The ideologues came for Robbie’s Dad
He tried to argue, his naivete was sad.

The ideologues had a one-track mind
It was year one, time to leave the past behind
No freedom, no rights, that was the deal
They just laughed at Robbie's father's spiel

When criminals or ideologues, have you in their sights
Say goodbye to logic, and to your rights
Look around, the dominos fall
Can't argue with a rock, can't charge at a wall.

Premium Member Arguing With Inanimate Objects

Arguing with inanimate objects
Can be very distressing
To them
My Roomba drove itself down the stairs
The Keurig switched to decaf

Alexa told me where to go
Siri filed for a restraining order
My iphone deleted the “find my phone” app
My robot pet brought poop into the house
When I hit the “autopark” button
My car parks itself around the corner from the house
My security cameras only watch what I’m doing
My drone took off with a raven

I googled “How to get rich”
It told me to sell my organs

I checked my heart rate on my apple watch
It said “faster – you’re still breathing”

While hiking my phone beeped
The message read…
You are entering a dead zone…STAY THERE.

Arguing With Gps

Arguing with GPS.

Pernicious words, hatred spewed in impotent rage
against the female voice telling me to turn left at the first roundabout
“Shut up, silly cow, I know this road better than you.”
“You never follow my instruction is it because I`m a woman?”
“No dear, it is because I know the roads around here better than you.”
“So, you don´t need me anymore?
“No, dear is no so when sitting alone in the car it is nice to hear a friendly voice.”
Sobbing and soft music from the GPS.
“You have to follow the instruction,” she said, sounding like my doctor.
He got angry and said, “I can turn you off if I want to.”
She said you will regret this when driving to Lisbon.”
When arriving home, the voice said, “you have arrived at your destination.”
  For heaven’s sake, I know.

Arguing

Two souls brought up in distinct surroundings
with many perspectives about life, decide
to come together to form outstanding
relationship for their lives with nothing to hide.

Building a relationship isn't easy
arguments and disagreements sometimes crazy;
it's told that arguing can be uneasy
but relationship never should be so heavy.

Studies say, spouses complaining to each
other most and grumble about least important
things end up having more lasting outreach
better relationships and also supporting

So arguing on simple issuess assists
to build a relationship better, work as gifts.

"Must you always rhyme?",said he.
"Must you be a show-off?",said she.

"Each comment a grand show of your jocularity,"she huffed.
"Ah, you are just so jealous,"he puffed

"Not really,"said she' with serenity.
"I just know you are capable of sonnetry."

"But instead,lazily you pen footies,"

Man Arguing About Meaning of Life

Man argues about the meaning of life

a man argues about the meaning of life
looking out at the world around him
catching the love of his life
bound by her chains of love
surrounded by danger
he hides the entry to his heart
in a green garden?hidden behind the hedges
planted in the last days
of the month of May
Make no mistake
he pointed out to his love
as he sat down on his naked rump
He shot at the devils
sliding out of hell
filled with giant teeth
the world is soon thick
twice the devils come at him
twitching from too many drugs
trying to kill him with their hellish vapors

pensively 101 prompt use the following words in a poem argue, bloom, catch, chain, danger, entry, green, heat, hedge, last, may, mistake, point, rump, shot, slide, switch, teeth, thick, twitch, vapour.

Arguing With The Night

Closing my eyes I bit my upper lip
drew my knees chest high and held them tight
drank the dreaded potions final sip
slow dimming an ever fading light
fluttering eyelids arguing with the night.

Arguing

Who would have known who would have guessed
That you'd say no and I'd say yes
When all we do is argue all the time

I bring with me my best of game
Which is kind of feeble and kind of lame
But it's the only game that I can find

If either shows that they are weak
The other jumps in with both feet
With claws extended looking for the kill

Would I do that...yes I would
Would you do that...if you could
Enjoying all along the cheap thrill

We come to this party all prepared
Hoping that the other is unaware
Of the dangers that lurk around the bend

You smile at me with the greatest ease
I smile back with sharpened teeth
Knowing where we're going and where we've been

Have you ever stopped to wonder why
We always fuss we always fight
Isn't it time we put this to an end

And since I know the way you are
You should be the one to start
Cause your the one that started it in the beginning
MH

Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with me and my wife.
We never argue...I just do what she tells me to do!

Premium Member Art of Successful Arguing

''All arguments should be dealt with swiftly
With bows and arrows
You'll both see each others points
Hopefully
You'll get your point across first
End of matter.''

I'm here
Need beer

Agree
Not me

You sigh
I cry

Deny
I try

You scheme
I scream

You're mad
I'm sad

No team
It seem

A pig
You dig

Deceive
Just leave!

Arguing With Myself

Grow more spine
Don't whine
show more brain
and don't complain!

There's not enough independence
and not enough money
My dream job's dead
And it's not funny!

But I'm too BLESSED
to be so STRESSED
So I listen to Pharell's "Happy"

Arguing With God

Why do we argue with God?
Do we have reasons or doubts?
Is this not an act of outright defiance?
Yes, indeed!

God is God
We have an omnipotent, all powerful
Compassionate and understanding God
But why do we go against Him?

Let us mend our ways
Then, adore, praise and love Him the most
Let us be unwavering
BELIEVE in Him toward the end!

When we are vulnerable, unhappy and hopeless
Or when we feel we have come and conquered all odds
In any situation; TRUST in Him
Rest assured, HE will do the rest.
