A sad loss for this site methinks.. His poetry was top flight and I truly enjoyed our collaborations together. I learned a lot from his brilliant poetry but I could never master as many poetry forms as he has. Another sad loss.. We have had far too many such here methinks... I WISH HIM WELL, AND HOPE HE MAY RETURN..

I was wondering about Silent One's absence myself. He was one heck of a nice poet. I, as many of you, will miss his presence here on the Soup. I presume he is simply doing what he does best; being Silent One.

Silent One has been an inspiration to many of us. I will definitely miss his contests and encouraging comments. There was still a lot to learn from him....hope he comes back soon...."Silent -you are being missed".

I love poetry, and I could instantly tell Silent One did too. His masterful skill of integrating intellect w/emotion, the cerebral w/the visceral, was on a level that I very much seek to attain. For the short few months I've known him, his poetry inspired me to no end. He will be dearly missed, but always fondly remembered. Love always from his poet friend, Romantic Warrior.

Its too bad and I hope everything is okay in his life sometimes people need a break and sometimes, a lot of times they come back, who knows. I always enjoyed his contests. .

Oh, this is sad :( Silent and I kept in touch every now and then via soupmail. I really loved his poetry and he was such a kind and caring person. I'm so sorry to hear this! Please come back, Silent!

I am saddened to hear such a great poet has left. Although me and Silent didn't talk as much as we did when I first started, I will always consider him my friend. I wish him the best of of luck on whatever he chooses to do. - Alexis

I do thank all of you for your comments! I didn't "know" him. But I really appreciated him. I'm just shocked that he just seem to disappear without any notice, but that's his choice, I guess.

Hello Sunlite and All. I for one will miss Silent whom I think is such a skilled and accomplished composer with much generosity to share with others. May he return when he is ready. I hope so.

Poets come and go.. and it is hard when friends disappear. Beautiful and spiritual Catie Lindsey has also left (but we keep in touch.) I remember fondly Tracie the Dreamweaver, who was funny, encouraging and just wonderful. She even hosted a haiku a day for haiku month. I could list dozens ... some come back. I hope you can keep in touch with your friend, Sunlite.

I will say that Connie and Sunlite yes he is gone. And yes he is missed by me and so many others. His poetry was remarkable. I have been friends with him for almost 2 years and we may not have much in common but that's what makes us good friends. My whole family respects him and even my daughter adores him. I trust him and have full faith that he is doing great in life. But yes, I am not alone in missing him on PS. Be blessed :) -lulloooo

When I checked a few days ago it looks like he departed. I was shocked. This place gets weirder and weirder. It raises the question of whats going on. What's worse he checked out in the middle of sponsoring a contest. I was big fan of his poems and thrilled at the times he commented on my poems.
