December
December
In this bedroom I type out
“Amazon” where are the socks,
And then, and then, a press,
And “chocolate” and a dog leash,
And oh, yes, the simple things
To remember,
Here on this day of rain,
Emails of pain, will they make the grade,
So many little things, adding up to doorbell rings,
A budget bleak, I wait, I care,
The plane will land, will the candy set?
And oh, yes, the simple things
To remember.
The Savior awaits, the stars beam through,
I think of Christ and the days of you.
Musing through the coming days,
Waiting for family days,
I rush as best I may and smile,
Feel love so bright a while.
I read a poem of Heidi!
Will I know another December?
