Broken Angel----
fear encompasses me and i am left forsaken,
drowning in the taste of yesterday’s regret-
i’ve loved and lost midnight stars,
been shadowed by remorse for what i did not do.
so why do i even try?
what is left of me cannot be saved
and all not forgotten will never be forgiven.
i feel the moon stumbling upon my dreams,
sense the magic of death when i’ve lost my way.
for i shall see no more of you-
i shall not be given a reason to hate;
you’ve given me the woe of a thousand tears,
given anxious thoughts that lead to scars.
but my scars are shared with many,
they all feel my sorrow and hold me tight-
i’ve seen the way they look at me,
like a broken angel longing for the light.
