Bitter Fruits

The autumn tree stood lone , half bare not knowing what will follow The storm has blown her leaves away There were no stars to fill her night but only cold and sorrow. The fierceful wind had come oncemore It shook the velvets of her apples It moved so fast behind her back It made her bend ,with no regret. It whined , it pushed, forced itself through It scattered bitter drops of dew It whisked old seeds and spread the new Then from the soilbed, it's breath withdrew. The autumn tree stood lone, half bare not knowing what will follow It dreaded blooms and yielding fruits in seasons of tomorrow.

autumn is definitely my favorite time....the harassing insects get left behind....trees begin their slumber as they shed their summer attire....only to awaken in the spring freshly dressed to inspire....;)

I like this melancholy side of you. Stretching your boundaries is a good thing. Excellent use of metaphor

But she stood her ground, It all turned around, away went the pain and also the rain, again she started to bloom, not a moment to soon, It's June. Bitter fruits such a lovely and inspirational poem.

Sometimes we feel like the tree all alone and bare but we need to remember we have our rich soil to nourish our roots. The sun to warm us and the rain to wash away our pain. Our seeds will grow and offer us shade and comfort. So much meaning Charna. Stand tall. Hugs
