Petals and Stems
A lovely yellow primrose
Emits perfume only God can create.
It is not angry when its thorns annoy your arms,
It is just a healing stem of summer love.
And you, a dove-white summer door
Don the rim of twilight’s bird bath,
And watch with warm and loving feelings
Under the night’s new blinking stars.
