The Rose

O beaker of blood
Enticing red cabarnet
Blood of the saints
Tears of the brave
Baptised in the river
Her artereous rush
Now pumping in my veins
Reddens my lips
Whispers Thy Name
Rose of Sharon
I cry to my Maker
I am so little
Make me a little like Thee

I can picture this scene well because your words convey it clearly and so beautifully. A man sitting by a wide deep river lost in reflection.

Incredible write, my friend, and going into my favs ... haven't seen or heard from you in some time, and I'm thinking of and praying for you, My Brother - blessings! (My pharmacist buddy is from South Africa, and he keeps me updated a bit - much to worry about).
