enjoying the sea

Alas! Alas!
Season near past…
Age all but gone,
youth comes waddling
on our heels along: new lingo, with
movements, though awkward
youthfully strong – Alas! Alas!
Fogies must step aside~
gracefully-move-on….
Would we could turn back the hours;
transport rearward that small hand,
take back a few we wasted,
perhaps youthfully misused.
Yet, if it was made be so,
of which past hours to erase?
For each led to another,
an autumn leaf on river.

Memories sweet or pity
May be seen through dark glasses
I cherished the memories of the time we once spent together
When we are young
The scenery shimmered through the morning haze
The blue sky looked soft and low
The mountains looked youthfully green
The waves of the sea danced sentimentally
Soft inquisitive voices of the sea murmured like the tick-tock of a clock
The sceneries are still lingering on my dark glasses
Whenever I put it on nowadays
And so dark glasses is believed to be
The camera film of the memories of
The unforgetable past
my Father’s smile is a memory dear to me
smelling freshly made bread and seeing frost on the trees
playing outside and feeling youthfully free
enjoying a family campfire in the evening breeze
I remember bicycle rides on country roads
my mother working hard to lessen our load
life in my youth before those dreaded crossroads
we played without internet and no download
we swung on ropes and climbed up hills
we dealt with our problems without taking a pill
I used my imagination for adventures and thrills
kisses on my cheek when I was feeling ill.
we danced in the rain and smelled the fresh flowers in May
I remember enjoying life in many different ways
we rode horses and cut our own hay
these are my memories of the good old days

you understand meaning as historical.......
yet...unless memory agrees...helpfull
years underlying millennial ages hopefully
yelp until mind accepts handiwork
yielding unfailing machineries attached heredetarily...
youthfully unbelievable metamorphical advantages........heterogeneously
yaughting undercurrents...managably articulating halting
yardsticks...unavoidable misgivens always happen
stan sand piled
When one reaches a certain age
it is difficult to move far from
death – I mean, to counter, such
negativity, I make it a point
to see every sunrise as my best –
making, luscious, painted vases
out of cloud-forms; filling them
to overflowing with fancy roses
despite the obvious chill in the air
and my double knit sweater.
I guess, what I’m trying to
to say is, while still having
my senses, and somewhat pain
free, I will dream youthfully –
and who is really, definitively
to say, where one
life ends
and another
begins….

All is not fatally written;
though no one leaves
the positive alive – I mean,
ink dries and paper becomes
wrinkled and brittle...as those relationships
we wish to youthfully revive – but we are born dying –
let’s face it…
and despite the fact
that earth’s seasons wither then
restore, there is an under-toe
drawing us toward the sun...
the flip-side of awakening.
One consolation is, I have been drenched
by Divine Light – far more brilliant
and powerful than any Hydrogen Furnace –
yet, there was no pain and suffering –
only profound, comforting love….
