Tomorrow hangs with bated breath

I fear the morrow -
caged by past, I rip apart;
yet today's growth blossoms.

Dearest Sunlight, I Wait With Bated Breath

Dearest sunlight has thy glow ran away
Into a hideous canyon to hide
Please to dawn's glorious hour this I pray
Return, forgive me my arrogant pride
I watch night sky, its vast, glittering glows
Yet this lonely soul inward deeply cries
Beauty abounds as a heavenly show
Whilst on this sadden earth, love too oft dies.

Dearest sunlight, have mercy, please return
Life without you leaves but a bitter taste
And in these consuming fires heart so burns
While once so happy now all seems a waste.

Dearest sunlight, I wait with bated breath.
Life without you, tis but a fearsome death.

Note : Composed early this morn,
born from a dream.

As the dawn comes, it heart pleading for peace
flies morning dove, love borne with its release
but mankind blinded by world's scathing lies
walks a doomed path, such truth thus denies.

Neither shall ignorance, such dark defend,
When evil was clasped as busom friend.

With Bated Breath

Detected overpowering odour ascending by degrees
Rational thought dissolved in fear
Animalistic unearthly roar transpiring
Gigantic mockery of every living thing
Oblique it’s huge amber eye surveyed
Nostrils twitching rapidly to detect
Stagnant atmosphere all pervading
Tantamount aversion restrained
Onerous task to undertake
Nihilism mindfully conjured despair
Extinction of human kind a possibility

With Bated Breath

With bated breath I wait to see your glowing face
In the evening skies when you arise
Taking my breath away with your beauty.
How I await to view your glowing silver orb.

Beauty and enchantment of your illumination
Are a lover's romantic delight tonight as
Twilight deepens into indigo skies you
Elate my senses as you mesmerize in
Darkened skies where you rule the seas.

Breaking waves upon the sands provide
Rapturous tunes that envy you, majestic moon
Ever playing hide and seek with clouds
Above as you slowly ascend, wooing lovers in your
Transit across the sparkling star studded skies as
Hearts are captured with-in your magic spell.

With Bated Breath

wistful recollections awaken
intriguing emotions to follow
towards the desolate path
heartless roads once paved

barren fields beneath the stone
amidst the shadows of rock
thirst for more than tears
eventide's sighs often bring
dare she trust to love again?

beneath the lambent light
rising moon now full
emits a glow upon the path
attempting to allure her along
towards the passage of fate
heart agape sighs with bated breath

When you left me in mild mid-summer twilight
I heard you say you’d return on a silvery night
Through the dust of full moon of spring when
Hues would flush the first rose of my garden.

Beyond the blue haze of bright night’s beguiled
And ardent ambience I saw you disappear while
The rush of thoughts swept my mind with tense
Expectations shrouded by a nebulous suspense
Defined by the design of my dreams I’d dreamed.

Bereft of the zest my loveless languished time lone
Raced on pensive plateau with changing seasons.
Early in spring in the sapling of rose I’d planted
A bud unfurled pink petals to bloom enchanted.
Till the full moon shined on my first rose I waited
Holding fragile heart at the edge with bated breath.

Weathered memories
I dream of you as always
Thoughts that linger onwards
Hover in the stillness of the night

Behind sullen shadows
Across silent clashing waves
Throbs of a heart beating
Echo relentless in my head
Distanced from this realm

Beached dreams of you and me
Reminder of our time cut short
Every moment thereafter
A throbbing aching longing
To reunite two souls in love
Heaven awaits with bated breath

With Bated Breath--
Create in me O Lord
Breath of life
Blow your wind a gust in me, O Lord
While I stand here on the realm of enlightenment,
Investing in the twilight lite placement in times;
Together my body and spirit separates,
Host has hurried and left its place, now lifted and faceless…

Breath has flown, gone on…
Arise, arise my soul dough flies flows towards heaven…
Tenderly submitting to the almighty Creator.
Each and every embrace,
Delivers He Himself God’s self-

Beholding His essence, caressing ever-present;
Reaches towards heavens skies, golden hills and valleys;
Everlasting premise glory endowed greatness;
All power created from my Father;
Total resources open create O’ God mine energy spirit;
Hold inside me rejuvenated, arise in me blow your- breath of life…
Create in me O Lord
Breath of life

With Bated Breath

Whispers curtailed into the cobalt sky
Inspired by diminished reasons why
Twisted into favorite memories
Half bent over, weeping with willow trees

Betrayal never mute when fear prevails
Anticipation of my heart that wails
Temptation shows no alleviation
Expecting all that resents creation
Decreasing heartbeat; devoid elation

Barren fields mourn, for I am left breathless
Regretting my past, leaving me restless
Eroded lava brick engraved my soul
And bated me until I turned to coal
Thirsty for oxygen so I can live-
Hungry for my purity to forgive

Walking up the winding path
inside the cemetery where my family is buried;
the path leads me through the oldest parts, and I recall
haunted stories of childhood.

Breathless, I walk faster and whisper a prayer;
another turn, then another, oh am I lost!
Turning around in circles-  I see through trees the sun;
even the hushed angels sigh for me as quickly I walk
down a path familiar- finding my family tomb.

Butterflies dance and twirl, and
reaching branches of willows drape the stone;
everything is still and quiet, even though birds sing, oh
a red rose in my hand is now wilted dead;
the words engraved I now read with bated breath, I remember
happy blissful memories and sadly, too soon deaths.
