upper wealthy

The Upper Wealthy

It was said that famous families
only lasts for about three generations
The Churchills, the Kennedys, and many
Others have a sale by date.
I thought of that while watching a program by
Crise Hedges, who happens to have grown up
among the stratospheric wealthy, and he
spent time trying to distance himself from
that class of people
He can't, everything about his language
manner, the smoothness of those who have
not had to strive
Cris was interviewing a man who writes
books about the rich, who, according to
him are bad for our society and economy
Clearly, the rich are different from those who have
No private plane when going shopping
They send children to the top school in a limo
They have a big household staff to keep
them in clover, and security, to be rich also
Mean someone is out to do your harm
The two men began annoying me, telling
stories about the wealthy, sounding like
a couple trying not to sound envious

Chinese Twelve Zodiac

2025.2.2, CNY 5th day
There are twelve Zodiac in Chinese Fung Shiu.
Rat, Ox, Tiger, Hare, Dragon and Snake
Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and Boar.
There were terms "Tam hop, Tu s/xung.
Meaning three for, four against.
Best matches are in the following strict order.
Rat, Dragon and Monkey.
Ox, Snake and Rooster.
Tiger, Horse and Dog.
Worse against are
Rat vs Horse, Hare vs Rooster,
Dragon vs Dog, Ox vs Goat
Tiger vs Monkey, Snake vs Boar.
These rules apply to all partnership and life long relationships.
If one does not believe it, one will face the consequences,
Especially when comes to worse matches.
All of the above was my knowledge,
Before I converted to Christian.
Chinese culture soon will be forgotten,
Resulted by mix races marriages.

Full of Breaches - Bitcoin Poem 072

The history of fiat
Is chock full of breaches
Of centralized power
That pushes and reaches

Debasing our money
The looters and leeches
Gaslighting people
With Keynesian speeches

Where is our money
In fractional banks?
They lend out in bubbles
And give us no thanks

Restricting our freedoms
With raw overreaches
Yes, the history of fiat
Is brimming with breaches

But now we have freedom
From theft and abuse
A better money in Bitcoin
And the power to choose

The central bank must be trusted not to debase the currency, but the history of fiat currencies is full of breaches of that trust. Banks must be trusted to hold our money and transfer it electronically, but they lend it out in waves of credit bubbles with barely a fraction in reserve.

Sacred,
unlike corrupt,
wealth

May also become
mental health,
unlike pathology

Empowering compassion,
unlike disempowering dispassion

Co-invests in win/win
economic relationships

Which may also become
co-operative political partnerships

Rooted in courageous
deep felt listening,
bicameral breathing

Pregnant pauses
open to silent
nonviolent procreation
of health minded
and grace embodied
deep multicultural re-connected
re-ligioned holistic meaning

Integrity's warm
unconditional potential
compassion of Left green minds
and integrity of Right red-kin-kind
organic bodies

Exploring further win/win
peak and valley
front and back
out and in
summer and winter
paternal and maternal
co-refining
dipolar co-arising
yang/yintegral peak
co-gravitating
intuitive/cognitive
nonverbally felt then verbally thought
co-empathic

Divine monotheistic mind
humane polytheistic body
co-infested peak polyvagal experiences.

I have a dream of affluence.
Of dripping gold and bread..
To feed the mouths of children
Save the hungry from their dread

I have a hope of heaven.
Where the generous are free
To liberate the captives
Where compassion is the key

It's not the stash I'm after.
It's genuinely not.
My rainbow ends with colours
Not some ever roving pot

I have a dream of fruitfulness
That though my days are few
I hope  investing wisely,
Is the thing that I can do.

For wealth is not possessions,
Acquisitions, portfolios or stuff.
It's justice, hope, contentment
It's being just enough

It's sharing and it's caring.
It's not a hand-out spree..
It's never so a spotlight
Lands itself on me

Quietly I'll gather
All the will I can
To be the earthly angel
Out to help my fellow man.

So when the curtain closes
As I'm sure it will one day
Those seeds that have been scattered
Bearing fruit to plant an orchard;
Feed the hungry on their way

Independently Un-Wealthy

Getting to know the canned goods aisle
in the dollar store was fun,
the ladies have been most helpful
in finding Chinese knock-off junk.
The Senior Center makes a passable Salisbury steak
and who needs gravy?
Independences has taken a down turn -
our addled leader blames some Russian guy,
the supply train is chained-up somewhere,
eventually we may all die from Global Pawning,
at least we don't need baby formulary anymore,
though we are considering developing a taste
for cat food; I hear 'Whiskers' do a mean
tuna casserole.
When down to your last million dollars
one must be frugal.

Wealthy Luxuries

Hope

Is a luxury

Only the wealthy

Can afford

And only the poor

Can dream about

* For my prep school bud, Bruce, and his wife Mary *

                    ~

A cherished phrase - sweet, smiling face
Fond mem'ries from that time and place
When youth was wasted, rich and fallow
Bright, our dreams, if crazed and callow ...

Still, we've made broad paths from then
And found these hearts, now, richer men
Though while they may have weary thrum
We've more adventures yet should come ...

The darkest times sow brighter treasure
The gifts that come beyond our measure
With depth and breadth that never ends
     Those dearest things, a lifetime's friends ...

That pledge and more ... is what this sends!

Scrounging

Paying repentance and biding my time
Scrounging around for my lost piece of rhyme

Waking up bleary and hitting the bricks
Thinking while scheming, getting my kicks
Presently cashing a low income check
Vigorously chasing another train wreck

Paying repentance and biding my time
Scrounging around for my lost piece of rhyme

So many choices, different points of thought
Mere moments in history when lifestyles were bought
Encrypted decisions creating new jobs
All for the pleasures of those who can rob

Paying repentance and biding my time
Scrounging around for my lost piece of rhyme

Wanting a gold bar stashed away in the bank
Thinking I’ll steal it from somebody’s rank
Reaching for coffee, I find solace again
Knowing full well I must start moving to win

Paying repentance and biding my time
Scrounging around for my lost piece of rhyme

Seeing the pictures and I love them all
Leave me believing I am trapped by the walls
Communication they say is my key
The words they speak though mean nothing to me

Healthy Thinking

Are we thinking, about money
or do we think, about honey

Are we thinking, about our health
or do we think, about our wealth

Are we thinking, of the needy
or do we think, for the greedy

Are we thinking, for all life
or do we think, just for your own life

Get Rid of the Evil

Money, has created the wealthy
and many, who are unhealthy

Money, has given us disease
with a bacterium, of too many humans

Money, has created the wars
which has made, many sores

Money, has made many do crime
to relieve stress, by having a dime

Money, is not there for many
to have, a good quality life

Money, has been abusing our granite
which can only, destroy our planet

Money, has taken away equality
with no chance, of becoming equal

Money, has taken away respect
to care and be fare, for all life

Money, is destroying our creatures
by bulldozing, Mother Nature

Money, has given us leaders
who greed, for their own need

Money, has created those who are evil
who use and abuse, just like the devil
