Vanished are the bygone days
Illusive feelings of bittersweet nostalgia
Opulence oozes over golden dreams
Luxuriant the gifts of time
Ethereal such are the memories of love
That tantalize as youth fades
Scattering glitter of past sunny carefree days
Adorned reminiscings too good to be true
Roses are red goes the children's rhyme
Echoes of their happy chants and giggles
Beauty as the sun sets on yesteryear
Lavishes tenderness on sleepy thoughts
Uplifting hearts that still feel somewhat youthful
Eager to drink this most exquisite elixir

Roses come in reds, violets, in blues.
Yet, my love, you always refuse.
Ants come in reds, blacks, and other hues,
and lest I forget,
I hope you enjoy them in chocolate.
When roses are red and violets are blue,
each is a lovely, sentimental hue.
But the color of blood is also red,
and now my love, as you're gone and dead,
the color of velvet is tinged dark-blue,
and I still cry through my tears for you.

Through my telescope I spy on you
But the idea was yours
Even the unlocked doors

Roses are red, violets are blue, don’t forget to go to the store and get my Mountain Dew.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I am in quarantine with nothing to do.
Roses are red, violets are blue, I am out of rhymes but I will be back again in no time.

Violets are blue,
But is it really true?
Roses can be more than just red
While violets are violet or a blend of red and blue,
But why do poems say roses are red and violets are blue
If red is only one of the color variety that a rose possesses while violets are actually violet or partly blue,
Or was it because they had no words that would rhyme,
But still to say all roses are red and violets are exactly blue.

Violets are blue
When I look into your eyes
All I see is me and you
The stars shine bright
But they will never shine as bright as you
You are forever in my heart
I hope we will never be apart

violets are blue,
this flower bed,
is just for you.
Among the stone,
and in the mud,
a flower shone,
a beautiful bud.
It grew so tall,
proud and strong,
it learned all,
right and wrong.
Giving it water,
and warm sun,
your only daughter,
learned about fun.
Mommy come see,
look what I did,
now I can be,
a grownup kid.
This flower bed,
is just for you,

and violets, blue.
