When friends suggested, “Try cocaine!”
Mike’s “No” would reckon choice.
His mom ignored this new campaign;
rebuff became Mike’s voice.
Having seen what crack does to his mom,
Mike felt no peer sway, but still stayed
stranger to the world of common sense;
he started drinking to excess.
Long gone, his dad had been a souse
and likely binges yet.
Young Mike had lost this selfish louse
through years of mixed regret.
In time, mom met her bitter end
wrapping her car around a pole.
Shaken, Mike awoke to faith in God;
struggling, he echoed “No!” to booze.
Parental hindrance gone, Mike gained
perception, things unknown
like pardon, patience, peace unfeigned,
like purpose fully-grown.

Mirror 's song is always full of bliss,
enraptured grassland. .
It's beauty is frequently decked with the
resplendent, heedful Spring.
Oh! a beloved butterfly, your purity,
innocence, is like the light
of diamond.
Oh! God, i beseech you, to ornament it
with perpetual, enduring forbearance,
unrequited kindness and unfeigned
goodness.
The glorious tapestry of a daydream,
enhancing a dreamy footpath.
Altruism is the unbounded beauty
of timelessness.
The zealous verity is enshrined in
a lasting ,abloom moonlight.

When words have fled there's a space
That echoes with nothing deemed stellar
No single idea to embrace
Profundity gone, it seems forever.
When chaos of life has intruded
Thoughts tangled into scrambled web
Creativity lost as mind's eye brooded
Blank page ignites emotions, reason fled.
Ocean waves ebb and flow with ease
Tormented poet desires tranquil pen
Dexterous words make readers believe
Unfeigned verse is legacy for men.

There's no hope that the pain in my body and mind will ever go away.
There's no fountain of youth. We all grow old and gray.
So, I wish I was a white knight, slaying dragons, and battling in your name,
as my heart burns ever brightly with love's flame.
I wish I had the dashing looks and smile of someone like Tom Cruise,
and in your fantasy, you'd look my way to choose;
and that my ideals and heroism earned your unfeigned admiration...
and one thing more than any other in creation -
of all the things I dream of, I dream of nothing more than this -
in my deepest fantasies, I'll once receive your kiss.

Every year for me begins with an earnest goal,
One only, which I genuinely aim to achieve,
This year I attempt to accomplish my life-long
Poignant dream, an honest tale, a memoir to weave!
This true story my passion for a few years,
Fuse my unfeigned thoughts as sincerely as I can,
Memories turn into reverie, stem from soul, my
Humble quill tries to keep up with the ambitious plan !
At dawn, draw inspiration from magnificent sky,
From radiant sun, delightful wind swaying trees,
Chirping birds, fluttering butterflies my muse,
They surround me with mirth, and frolic with breeze!
This memoir honouring my parents, my ancestors,
Children to realize through adversity they did shine!
I write for the world yearning to delve into the past,
Many may find with wonder their own stories in mine !

I fought with Jack,
He hit me back,
We both went home crying,
Mom asked me why,
I did not lie,
Jack started denying;
He broke my toy,
Total destroy,
And my car went flying,
He was uncouth,
I punched his mouth,
It was satisfying;
Jack said my punch
Was why he lunged,
'twas so horrifying,
I cried some more,
Mom did ignore,
"Let's find out who's lying";
My sis she called,
Who saw it all,
(That was terrifying)
"Jim broke his car,
With Jack did spar,"
On us, she was spying!
There was no doubt,
I got time out,
It was mortifying,
Jack was let go,
Just so you know,
We're still friends undying;
Three sides, you see
To each story,
There's some falsifying,
Dig deep to find
The truth unfeigned,
It's called verifying.

Liberty, freedom, unchained
Plenty, riches, love sustained
Repentance,Forgiveness, not stained
Abiding, sheltered, in safety contained
Faithful, fruitful, on the right path remained
Knowledge, truth, wisdom, attained
From sin, self, and evil refrained
True Love, delight, joy, unfeigned
Heaven, eternity, eternal life, gained

Zenith of perfection is the aim of my existence.
My pilgrimage towards this, I know, is my persistence.
I align my senses like a predator towards prey.
My physique and psyche are synthesised in every way.
The social fibre in me, like thread in linen, is knit.
Doesn't the quiver of optimism endlessly transmit?
I dig the mines of cores of self-searching for the truth.
Thoughts, words, and actions are in unfeigned perpetual youth.
The fulfilment of feelings flows towards fullness of life.
Between uprightness and vileness, there is a constant strife.
Virtues, like treasures of vast oceans, are hidden within
Could stains of sin, before relentless goodness ever win?
Divinity, like vast skies, endlessly gets expanded.
Fullness of spirit within innermost shrines is implanted.
Values are revalued. Sensual pleasures are channelled.
Hindrances towards integral liberation are annulled.
All that the almighty meant for humans to be is won.
Eternally, in everything, the divine will is done.

Pharisee Simon gave meals to Jesus, the Bible says.
Did he wash his feet? Did he give him a fraternal kiss?
All these a woman of the town did in her unfeigned ways
Did she long for freedom from her sins and eternal bliss?
Tears, like the floods of a monsoon, cascaded from her eyes.
With these, she washed the feet of Jesus; wiped them with her hair.
She poured alabaster on him, as though he were her prize.
With its scent, rose in Simon, unsolvable questionnaire.
Why doesn't he discern plums from bitter-guards? Simon thought.
Doesn't he differentiate good women from street girls?
From cynicism, Simon's mind to optimism, Jesus brought
From love, as per Jesus, forgiveness, like blossoms, unfurls
The woman left, like a new-born, sins forgiven, grace-filled.
At the all-holding nature of Jesus, each one was thrilled.

In the heart of the city, where stories unfurl,
Stands a bookstore, my haven in a whirl.
Shelves adorned with tales that swirl,
Each book a treasure, each page a pearl.
I, the guardian of this literary domain,
With quill in hand and a passion unfeigned,
Delve into worlds where imagination reigns,
Weaving stories that dance and entertain.
One day, amidst the stacks, I found,
A book of wonder, its secrets unbound.
Bound in leather, with pages round,
"The Book of Endless Stories" it crowned.
Curious and eager, I opened the tome,
To find blank pages, an author's home.
With each stroke of my pen, I'd roam,
In worlds of adventure, all my own.
Heroes and villains, love and strife,
Sprang from the pages, into real life.
The city transformed, no longer rife,
With monotony, but with stories rife.
Through ink and paper, I wielded might,
Shaping worlds in the day and the night.
With every word, I brought forth light,
To banish darkness, to set things right.
And so, in the heart of the city, I reign,
A storyteller, unbound by chain.
In my bookstore, where dreams attain,
Their fullest form, free from restrain.

"Turning circles around your heart"~
Dance off-feet and head pulled by tides,
Far still my rippling face's sight—
And overwhelming motions spread
I yearn to crash on your bosom—
"Turning circles around your heart"~
So each time close is the time right—
"It's closer than my hands have been"~
Now "do we break another rule"~
With fog combining our two stones.
"It's closer than my hands have been"~
My unfeigned angst digs in me sharp
So "hello, darkness, my old friend"~
Switch the light for me at dusk, while
In my looking glass, a way of
"Turning circles around your heart"~
Songs:
"Turning circles around your heart" Turning Circles, Sally Dworsky
"It's closer than my hands have been" Jealous, Labrinth
"Do we break another rule" Hold On To The Nights, Richard Marx
"Hello, darkness, my old friend" The Sound Of Silence, Disturbed

See Me
I want, desperately, to Impress
Why
I don't know why
Hmm
I just, despairingly, want to Impress
I, sincerely, wish you knew why
Why, pray tell
So, interestingly, I may want to Impress too
Oh, my dear friend...
Yes, buddy
It, unfeigned, has to come from within
That, undoubtedly, makes sense
Sure, unequivocally, it does
If not, unwavering, from within
It, unmistakably, doesn't matter
Yes, but...
But what
But, dear confidant, if I don't...
Yes, you're on to something
Feel it from within...
Yes
And I, forlorn, strive to Impress anyway...
Yes, almost there...
Then, sadly, I'm not happy...
Yes, say it goddamn it
With who I am
Yes, I'm Impressed

In our days of rage the world’s ablaze, with anger’s fire,
We’re utterly stuck, in tempestuous muck and quagmire.
Lives were simple, and laughs easy, in the good ole days,
Thru endless summers and bar-b-ques, folk came of age.
There is a new age with clenched fists and voices aloud,
Marching with cruel intent, a menacing, seething crowd.
Inequality, injustice, and exclusion fuels the burning ire,
Power puts asunder the powerless’s bid to climb higher.
Powers corrupt, but let us never forget, the power of peace,
Let’s embrace our better angles; in unity, our conflicts cease.
In these days of rage, we must engage, live by a golden rule,
If we can’t live together as one, we will all die apart as fools.
Though anger and vitriol may be a force for us to reckoned,
Charity and mutual understanding are what truly beckoned.
An epilogue pending; in the days of rage, let’s turn the page,
And build a kinder world, where virtue unfeigned is waged.

Cafe Beignet on eve of Mardi Gras
Fat Tuesday is consuming everyone
New Orleans is magnet, nothing will mar
Their patience rewarded fun has begun.
Astounding parade enjoyed far and wide
Bourbon Street echoes with laughter unfeigned
Colourful costumes flowing like rip-tide
River of creation so unrestrained.
Marvellous memories of the parade
When all were united in sense of fun
Twirling umbrellas so jauntily swayed
Spectacle endless but finally done.
Bourbon Street endured it did survive flood
Colourful Mardi Gras is its life-blood.
