Notes About The Poem

Like rural life the city has its dark side but urban life can be an occasion for joy as well.

AM City Sweep

Genial gold bullions of first blush town verve,
cobalt blue ingots in sky,
“rain” pavement dweller thrill

Green bus shelter cameos cordial,
sprinkle the air with glad quips,
tween the spilt coffee gulp

billowing cloud of zingy zone babble,
dispersed in hazy gallop,
yet wisps unfeigned linger

Oh yes, the city life has its dark and light sides both.. and you've depicted the brighter side so beautifully with your words here, dear Howard. They paint a very vivid imagery ~ "yet wisps unfeigned linger" ha yes that says something deeper and I feel it! Wonderfully knitted! Sending you light and best wishes always 💫💫
