White Man

Everywhere the white man put his foot
unerringly on unwary locals he stepped
'til they became downtrodden
unable their customs to accept
physically mentally financially
from top to toe stern to stem
to his own advantage
he used abused and exploited them
no matter their culture
what floats their boat but gets my goat
Government-approved
he pushed religion down their throat
lies were spoken treaties broken
but we can't undo what they have done
and after all these years of dislocation
history has shown too little too late
reparation is no compensation

God Is Real

GOD IS REAL

LIES ARE TOLD AND INSULTS HURLED
DARKNESS COVERS ALL OUR WORLD
TRUTH IS CURSED AND HATE CONCEAL
THE GOOD MUST ASK IF GOD IS REAL

MEN OF MIGHTY POWER RULE
TO WIN THE DAY THEY MUST BE CRUEL
WARS ARE LOST AND SOME ARE WON
BUT DEATH PREVAILS BELOW THE SUN

THE HONEST MEN ARE TOLD TO COWER
BY THOSE THAT HAVE THE AWFUL POWER
THE PAIN IS GREAT AND MAKES THEM FEEL.
IF GOD ABOVE IS REALLY REAL

BABIES DIE, AND MOTHERS CRY
AND ALL WE DO IS WONDER WHY
IS THERE REASON WHY WE FEEL
TO ASK IF GOD IS REALLY REAL

WHEN ALL SEEMS LOST
AND HOPE SEEMS SQUASHED
YOU DEAL WITH LIFE’S UNCERTAINTY
IT’S OK TO FEEL THE PAIN
WHEN LOVED ONES MEET ETERNITY

AND IN THE NIGHT NO GOD IN SIGHT
YOUR SOUL CRY'S OUT RELENTLESSLY
BUT THEN A VOICE THAT’S STRONG AND CLEAR
TELLS YOU NOT TO BE IN FEAR

THE VOICE IS CALM AND VERY KIND
IT TAKES COMMAND OF SOUL AND MIND
KNOW WITH CERTAIN CLARITY
HIS WORK IS DONE UNERRINGLY
IT TELLS YOU THAT THESE THINGS MUST BE
TO WEAVE OUR HUMAN TAPESTRY

HAVE FAITH AND LIVE WITH CERTAINTY
THAT ALL WILL END JUST PERFECTLY
ONE DAY OUR GOD WILL THEN REVEAL
TO ALL THAT HE IS REALLY REAL

Pyjamas Underneath

In his dressing-gown
pyjamas underneath
slippers gently slapping
he traverses his bedroom floor
covering the space
between his bed and the closet
the closet and his bed
in measured, purposeful strides
up and down
up and down
each decisive journey
taking the same amount of steps
his hands
comfortably curled
rest gently
in the spacious pockets
of his dressing-gown
a man on a mission
thoughts to be thought
decisions to be made
actions to be taken
head tilted down
looking at
but not really seeing his feet
as they propel him
back and forth
back and forth
is it not amazing
that all of us
to a man
unerringly get this vignette
completely understand
this compelling little drama
being played out
in a strangers bedroom.

This love, more than a feeling, it’s twinkling
Like the purple blue on a mountain’s hue
Or lightest rain, trembling with truth, sprinkling
My heart with gentle dreams, yearnings ensue

This laughter, more pleasing than morning dew
Singing hope to the heart who’s dissuaded
Restoring wonder with such a breakthrough
Through love this awesome, joy is persuaded

This light, brilliant as the sunrise in June
Pours out peace, hope and grace throughout this life
Because my soul is restored, I’m immune
To the darkness of night, worry and strife

Due to the love you give so caringly
We shall live grateful and unerringly

love, laughter, light shift,
urging souls to grasp - wealth comes
from giving, blessing!

love, laughter and light silence the darkest of nights

It was the feathered purple of a blossoming iris,
kissing the laden air
with trembling lips.
I was awakened by its fragrance,
the newness of its ancient story,
told yet again by a moistening earth
in silvery birdsong.

Sometimes,
I have missed the turning from gelid and motionless
to the softening sway that unerringly follows.
I have been embittered—
brittle and bare as a crooked branch,
scraping a vacuous sky—

but not this time.

This time, the tenderest breeze,
prodded by the fingers of a spreading sun,
finds me waiting—
eyes closed, smile turned eagerly upwards
to greet the renewal
of creation.

Premium MemberDarkness Sheds Light

Is it a metaphor for how time flows?
an unshakable sense of expectancy
the metamorphosis breeze through
unerringly advance
unhampered and untethered
the sun is the same
the light is in the darkness
If you require light, stay near the drapes
look at the peculiar gem in the bezel.

Positively,
Definitely,
Absolutely,
Certainly

Irreversibly,
Undeniably,
Unerringly,
Reliably

Categorically,
Indisputably,
Unfalteringly,
Irrefutably

Undoubtedly,
Irrevocably,
Unquestionably,
Unequivocally...

... FINAL!

Maybe.

Premium MemberDearest Jesus

In your name I humbly pray,
For peace in this world,
And abundance of love today!
We however are not worthy,
And we are never going to be.
For your goodness is unmatched!
Even so we dared to dream,
The most impossible dream-
Of loving the way that You do.
But we were destined to stumble,
Right from the very start.
Forgive us our sins, O Lord,
For which we take responsibility,
And grant us grace and unity.
Though I am not perfect,
I do love you dearly!
Although every age is your age,
It is the season of your birth.
Hearts turn unerringly to you,
And to your hopes and wishes,
For all of creation.
Please light the way, O Lord,
For those wishes to come true.
For when you are smiling,
I am smiling!

'Shoo' You Too

The amour of the eve, set the faces pleased,
The extent to engage, the moments were seized,
To placate the tone, their unions at ease,
The change was set for such a view.
Unspooled moon roams free its chambered mood,
Couples were being apart, settling in quietude,
Lips tender touches, eyes favor upon the good,
Here the grayish fury star the shrew.
That sits just so unrestrained, poised triumphantly,
Yet, it scurries about there, most unopposedly,
Amongst affluent served by destitute, unerringly,
And now he is about to form a coup.
He dashes mid the silvers and other polished wares,
Swoops in and out demitasses to frightful stares,
Takes pleasure in the measure of tenuous glares,
Rich leaves, poor cleans, laughs queue.

PERPETUAL LOVE

My love for you is like a ship on the sea
Unerringly gliding toward its destination
It sails on a course to you from me
Onward it sails night and day
No storms can arise to deter its way
It's a love that's fueled by determination
A love that is unconditionally free

Whenever it arrives at the chosen port
I will securely moor it at the dock
And just as a judge rules in a court
The verdict will be carried out
You will never have reason to doubt
My love for you is as solid as a rock
As secure as a well manned fort

Grey Sentinels

All embracing swirling cloud

Below a leaden sky.

A fleeting glimpse of hidden fells,

Shadows, reaching high.

Towering grey sentinels,

Guardians of the land.

In the cloud, and glowering gloom

Unerringly they stand.

Oh but when revealed to us

Beneath a cobalt sky,

Ne'er has such beauty fell

Before a mortal eye.

Only To the Dog

ONLY TO THE DOG

Dialect abandoned with education and travel
Now only speak Geordie to the dog on walks
In unguarded moments
Awkwardly recalling how the pronunciation goes:
No longer an unhesitating morass of flat vowels
Floating on the muddy gurgle of the Tyne,
Like your long-ago first wife’s name, coming unerringly
To your lips in the presence of the second.

.................................................

Geordie is a speech dialect in Northern England's Tyne valley.

Betrayal

The tree does not at the hewing suffer
Albeit the callous thwacks all edges raining down
Nor the tons of muscles befalling on its cadaver
But savvy ing a bisection of the axe stems from her own

She protractedly taught him to target archery
How his bow bends unerringly
When he at last imbibed the art secrecy
Betrayingly shot her uncompassionately.

Just Something I Know

Just Something I Know

You do not know who I am
And I do not know you too
So what has caused that spark?
And drawn me closer to you?

I am not sure how to proceed
Because I would like to talk to you
But age has played a factor
And I simply do not have a clue

So if you would care to tell me
What is it you are looking for?
Maybe I could help with that
And you would know a little bit more

You say you that you seek passion
A very admiral and wonderful trait
But only one in a sum of many
That will certainly impact your fate

There is compassion and forgiveness
For mistakes unerringly made
There is also honor and trust you see
Without either a big price to be paid

So I would share a small fact with you
Never give up looking for love
And the day that you finally find it
You should give thanks to God above

True love is a God given gift
It is just something I know
And make sure with all your heart
You never lose it or let it go
