A girl rotting
A girl alone
She is still for hours
She is still forgotten
A girl downtrodden
A girl down on her luck
She is drunk on misery
She wakes hungover on woe
A girl runs on decaf
A girl sleeps away
She is ruined by the hope
She is stuck on pause
A girl with thought and drive
A girl without a way
She is shell of routine
She is but a memory
A girl running out
A girl ill with frustration
She is I
She is me

The streets are filled with crying men,
filling the gutters up with tears.
As we walk from our final shift,
that’s fed us for a hundred years.
Eleven hundred jobs vanished,
like a leaf caught upon the wind.
And Canton North Carolina,
will never be the same again.
What’s in store for us tomorrow,
no one can ever really know.
When your faith is already gone,
and any hope is next to go.
There’s no money left to buy things,
that it will take just to survive.
Wondering if it’d be better,
if I would just lay down and die.
They tell me these are better days,
than how it always used to be.
They sure got a long way to go,
before they can prove it to me.
Because I still don’t have a job,
or any money left to spend.
So please don’t give me any bull,
how this country is on the mend.
Even the drunks on the corner,
are gone but it’s not what you think.
They all have to get sober now,
because they can’t afford to drink.
Regina city councillors under fire
For ad campaign’s not looked at prior
How someone did not think to inquire
Check the news if you think me a liar
This province had some odd news breaks
Like the Tim Hortons with the snake…
The moose in the school for hoof’s sake
But this capital city goof takes the cake
I suppose they were hoping for a laugh
Now it looks like there’ll be some new staff
The response may still be half and half
Talked about around the coffee carafe
They’ve taken a lot of flack in the past
Tried to steer into the skid at last
That plan backfired pretty damn fast
A collective face palm, country vast
A headline that didn’t need to be spun
With marketing that cannot be undone
Since the new slogan that they chose to run
Is : “The city that rhymes with fun”…..
** Slogan since retracted by Experience Regina
Still Managed to make International headlines, well done...
For crying out loud America!.
Because of you I'm unemployed!
I can no longer threaten you with violence..
And I'm really very annoyed.
It's my job to make you fearful..
I'm an extremist and political threat..
But you are shooting each other in mass numbers..
And that was my job.. or did you forget?
How can I now be a Martyr?
You've stolen the World nightly news!
Another mass shooting in America!
Someones bad temper has blown a fuse!
You no longer fear the terrorist..
I'm no threat to the way you live..
However.. you fear thy neighbour..
You'd rather shoot and kill instead of forgive.
lucky are
those who work...
unlucky are
those who don't have
employment...are not lazy
those who don't work
for lack of employment...
Are the unfortunate ones...
About unemployed people, I have many jokes,
Unfortunately, not even one of them works.
Trump's government's a total wreck
The unemployed could wring his neck
They needed relief
But found only grief
With a Trump Reality Cheque
His oars (mind, arms, and legs)
were insufficient as propellers to earn a living.
In the underground´s nasty passageway;
or was in his life´s nasty passageway?
Anyway! There, he, like an imbecile, sat,
another torn mendicant, holding up his hand to indifferent passers-by,
asking for a gaze or just a word of hope.
Hope! What hope?
- The hope that remains as a candle into his heart.
the little flame that every day fights the Almighty forlornness -.
At night, unanswered the pray
the candle would shrivel;
and he became the symbol of a supplicant without faith,
hopelessly holding up among his hands,
and offering the burned out candle and misery of his life
to others indifferent passers-by.
There, at the underground´s nasty passageway.
Or was it his own life´s nasty passageway?
he huddled and covered with the black cloak of failure, remains sat
in the midst of despair.
Just till tomorrow.
The Hearts of the Unemployed
are Destroyed.
Life becomes a worry
lack of jobs lack of money
like a struggle of network
many people do not work
even though they qualify
they are rejected when they apply
no job opportunities
to help their communities
day and night it's stress
pain is what they dress
The hearts of the unemployed
are day and night destroyed.
Drencho POET Loads
I sit here wondering
What to say
My words exhausted
Throughout the day
The kids they ask me
What have I done
Hows my day gone
Have I had fun
To this my reply
Its always the same
Been down the dole
Passed the day in vain
After working
All my life to date
I never thought
OF this my fate
It makes you think
What its all been for
Stuck on the dole
At forty four
I used to see them
Hanging around
Layabouts,scum
There's work to be found
But now I find
I,m in there place
Being out of work
Is no disgrace
It hurts you when
You truly know,At my time of life
No one wants to know,
Part of the Unemployed
What if I were to be paranoid
Of some things is there a void
Or maybe what I stipulated
By now has become outdated
I am now part of the unemployed.

Being suddenly unemployed I leave winter behind and welcome the chance to open the new door to spring.
He sat on the floor
He was tired of the struggle
The toiling
The hustle
He needed a change
But did nothing but sulk
This had gone on for so long
He felt so alone
Unwilling to tell
Unwilling to ask
He just sat there… feeling discouraged
His angel sat there with him
Unemployed and fat
He was waiting
Waiting for his own to make a move
Speak the Word
Give him a task
But he got none
So he just sat there with him
Chewing on muffins
Humming a hymn

As sun begins to shine,
His eyes darken with pain,
The ground is dried, no rain.
Yet, he wobbles on line,
Good job is hard to find,
Likewise a girl like Jane.
His worries go so high,
No place to lay his claims,
Why me!?this he proclaims,
For years, this makes him cry,
No dough!,but eyes are dry,
“Oh,fate!’yet he exclaims.
This plight must come to end,
As time is not his friend.

People have been ignored,
Time has been wasted,
Employers know they've got the upper hand,
Like ice cream, they taste it.
So many online applications,
Include personality tests of variations,
This will take 40-60 min to complete
How many personalities can compete,
You can not agree, agree less, agree somewhat,
Agree more, agree a lot, what the ****?
They lie and cheat to get you in the door,
A week later, your fired, your now a job whore
Don't call us, don't come in, don't email,
Our communication and management is frail,
Finally got the job,
It's battle for time they rob,
They give eight hours a week,
Cant pay bills on that check,
Or fifty hours a week,
You're a walking train wreck.
That's if it lasts longer than a week,
If not, it's another job you'll have to seek.
Unemployed Life is sure a vacation,
Takes no time sweeping the nation.
Take it lightly,
It's how you'll get through,
All the stupid bull*****they pull
