Lurking
In the shadow
Of the corner
Of the room
In the dim
In the gloom
Lurking
Waiting
In the shadow
Of the corner
Of the room
In the dim
In the gloom
Waiting
Watching
In the shadow
Of the corner
Of the room
In the dim
In the gloom
Watching
Me.

Bare in your sheets
The power shifts
Like god and Mary
Replace your lips
With cruel fantasies
I don’t care to admit
What they mean
This painful unease
Burns right through the skin
Of my knees
When you begin
To want what you see
To share your sin
So proudly with me

Leave your comfort
Depart your home
No excitement awaits alone
Stroll along, to the streets
For there lies fun
My only warning is of too much
People may stare but this is no issue
They grin with delight
Your appearance brings a new light
Do not fret
Their malicious gaze
I'm sure they'll take you to a wonderous place
Just be silent
Now stay still
Go to sleep
Forever mine now to keep

Seemingly
Imagination
Creates stories
Over and under
A story appearing..
Evidence of something
New creeps in..
These are seeds of a
Perennial search for
Completion.. unease
Over what seems
Happening...

Thousands of drops were suspended outside the glass creating a haze,
Which gave the one that blurred his vision a chance.
It tickled while sliding to his chin,
Giving him the chills of unease,
It left his body aching and wishing
Someone would wipe it of quick.
This time it was okay
If his collar got wet,
Even in a red light
The glass to his left
would leave all
the gazes
away.

Am I in calm?
Or am I in unease?
Never have I felt in peace
More than ever
But with it
The rising waves of anxiety
The collision
Between the tranquility and apprehension
Can’t seem to find my place
Time seems to drip slowly
Into the next day
The drip drips
Irritating my mind
Inner peace inner peace
They say
But how can I
When everything is in imbalance
The scale is tilted
Tilted to the other end
The precious marbles falling
Falling and shattering
To pieces
To pieces
Infinitesimal pieces of shards
Can never turn back into one
But we can create something new
Create something more beautiful
Than ever
A rainbow of scintillating slivers
A fine powder for fairy dust
Who knows
Maybe we can fly
To our Neverlands
Someday
Soon

Often we feel
Things are unglued--
Nothing is real,
And it all seems so strange.
Faces conceal
Moods misconstrued;
Voices reveal
What our words cannot change.

Can you feel?
Unease surge,
Killjoy spills,
Raw nerves urge.
Can you taste?
Unease cuts,
Anxious haste,
Raw pain guts.
Can you bear?
Unease stings,
Pain that tears,
Raw stern fling.
Can you mind?
Unease hurls,
Harsh sure bind,
Raw touch curls.

Unease can tease
Pain that brings ease
A certain peace
Unease can sting
As pain can string
A certain fling
Unease can bleed
A curious feed
A certain seed
Unease can play
As pain now pays
A certain stay
Unease can be
A touch that frees
A certain spree

Unease
You see the illusions
Of the demented mind
Whining like a victum
When he is the perpetrator of the crime
I wonder if they see
How crazy they appear to be
Or do they wander inside their distorted minds
Blaming their own ignorance on others brilliant kinds
Whine whine whine
Why do they
Trumpists and gods poets
Why oh why the deceit and being unkind?
I take my wine with Jesus
St Patrick and the divine
After a few I used the plural
When the devil is but one with no rhyme
With Cork and Kerry
The Celtic poets get merry
Ignoring the ones lacking merriment and rum
Bitterness blaming no talent on others shun
Digging deep into Jewish bones
The ignorant lack the light and must be shown

Hurts and pains taunt as regrets style,
Urge joy to stay despite quirks vile;
Rupture spreads plain such teasing smiles,
Trust holds sad fray as gloom now piles;
Seek then a way to deal with pain.
Ask cheer to come to purge the gloom,
Note how joy plays upon new gains;
Dare then to sum new fare that blooms.
Pick pieces then with a new poise,
Allow your quest to start clear fest;
Ink where and when your happy choice,
Now look to jest to shape your best;
Start without fear for faith knows hope.
Treat troubles light with lovely face,
Ask happy cheer to echo scope;
Use ample sight to build grand space,
Nurture fine will to achieve more,
Treasure fine feel in inner core.

Make moments speak with intent clear,
Fashion bold tweaks to hitch cheer near.
Unease feels taut with pulse and play,
Untie the knot to cast new say.
Make change seed urge to dare emerge,
Style then clear surge in brand new purge.
Unfurl the curls of sensuous wit,
Unwind the swirls as pleasure fits.
Be not afraid where thought meets feel,
Purge then all dread that swallows thrill.
The way ahead points to bold change,
Dare to just trade with feelings strange.
Time fashions rhymes in one swift stroke,
Mime works new chimes where unease yokes.

unfamiliar
disruptive crowded rooms
apprehension of the unknown
heightened awareness, chest tight, heart pounding
quick shallow breaths, muscles flexing
nerves alert, thoughts racing
change of routine

It’s the way your eyes light up when you see her,
How a smile blooms on your face.
It’s the way you look at her (when you think I’m not looking),
And how she holds your gaze.
It’s the way you talk to her,
How you always sound like you’re high,
And the way you hug her tighter,
When it’s time to say good-bye.
It’s the way you refuse to tell me
Anything that she said,
And the way your eyes look distant
When we’re together later in bed.
It’s the way you take your ring off,
And “forget” to put it back on,
And the way my heart is squeezing,
Knowing you’ll soon be gone.
