Unease

Often we feel
Things are unglued--
Nothing is real,
And it all seems so strange.

Faces conceal
Moods misconstrued;
Voices reveal
What our words cannot change.

JP, I love the form! Here’s an interesting thought: Take the two four-line verses of “Unease” and follow them with the two four-line verses of “Once We Are Grown.” Not only do you get an interesting poem, the title would be “Unease Once We Are Grown” :) ~Mark

An interesting thought, indeed-- though my intent in the one was to consider how things-- and people-- are not always what we have assumed, and the other, my usual complaint about aging. Yet as you know, a poem, once published, is open to any interpretation.
